Well, I easily hit high 30's with the new dagger, not even getting a special message thingy. And I wasn't even close to the best str bonus, which means 40+ without spec is possible. So theoretically 120+ hits are possible?

sry for now pic, but on a slayer assignment with a slayer mask, no prayer or pots (81 strength) i hit a 51 with the special :)

Done talking yet? Go back to the calc, your doing something wrong- missing something big. I've easily been able to get 101 on the calc in the past, so either your doing something wrong or it's on the fritz :? (ya, just checked, I got 87 too..).

D2h special works like barrage, only with you in the middle.

 

 

 

So say you can hit a 40, 40 x8= 320 320 possible easily, if I were to do it and get my most ultimate max hit.

 

 

 

With 99 strength and every bonus, you can hit a 53. 53 x 8 = 424. The highest hit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It may not be 500, but it still beats every highest hit, even odds, by allot.

Technically yes.. But you need a slayer task to use black mask, and i cant think of any slayer task monster in a multi zone that takes up 1 space, and that has enough in the area to surround you so the spec hits them all.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Even if you got that, theres a very small chance that you would hit ur max on all of them. But technically its possible.

if ya look in the knowledge base is says the max hit with the special is 3 times the damage you could do without.

 

 

 

its got stats pretty similar to the dragon dagger (i think) so i'd say the max would be around 96 :shock:

we have seen a 102 hit. and the keris has 10 less str then the d dagger.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

it also adds a str boost on kalphites, so when i hit 44's without a spec, thats because its on kalphites. theirs no way i could hit that hard on anything else with the keris. my max is supposed be to 35(x3) rite in that area

Not about the max hit but another thing I sort of noticed is this like barbarian assault seems to make getting dragon chains easier...is Jagex trying too run these prices way low so that 3rd age armour will go up in price more?

I hit a 41 without special (91 strength + semi super potted + prayer) Had black mask, fighter torso, obsidian shield, rune boots, fire cape, barrows gloves but no Ruby ammy nor a berserker helm so the hit could have been higher (I'm guessing I could hit around 43? So someone with 99 strength could easily hit 95+ making the make theoritcally hit very high indeed!

Why am I asking?

 

 

 

After 2 months , I used it again for a Kalphite slayertask. Maybe I had just bad luck, maybe Jagex nerved it or maybe I'm just too 'spoiled' now, but after 50 kalphites I banked it and started using my old trusty whip again..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I had exactly 1 'vicious blow' of 35(!!) on 50 kalphite soldiers and after timing my next 50 soldiers with whip, my whip seemed rougly 30-50% faster..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I know we have quite a history of 'useless' questrewards in RS and this post is not meant to rant about this fact, however I just wanted to verify if this weapon has still better result with other users?
