Do you miss RSC? Was uncerting all those lobby certs really that bad? Do you remember the first dragon items? The first level 123? KBD Slaying? I can say for certain I do... :cry:

The nr 1 thing on my I-HATE list is still macroers, and RS2 is better against it.

Nah, I couldn't stand certs really. The only thing I miss was the fact that it was simpler back then. Oh well.

Seeing that like, everyone in RSC knew everyone, I really wish I had the chance to play in the early days RSC.

no. i wish rs2 was created. but i also wish that f2pers could go back to rsc and see what it was like.

no, or I wouldn't meet some great friends who still play today.

I don't know why everyone liked/s RSC, the graphics were horrible and the game was flawed. Sure, it was much more simple, but, get over it...

Yeah, I agree with icecube. The RS2 community is filled with kids that are younger than 13. Sadly, the majority of it is those little kids. I'd rather have people that are intellectual... not mindless leetspeaking kids. :uhh:

i played at nov. 2004, but the graphics in RSC were too horrible for me to even try. i say it doesnt matter.

I'm an RSC Vet and all... I really REALLY miss it. I think a few aspects of RSC were a LOT better than RS2, graphics, game, economy wise. I miss it, my character grew up on it, and we both miss it -sniffles- I wish it had never been released sometimes! :cry:

I didn't play for four months when rs2 was released.

After that I started playing again.

i dont think ranged was fun in RSC lol

I don't regret it at all. In my humble opinion, Runescape 2 is a far superior game to Runescape classic.... in just about every area.

Ranged owned in RSC, it was far more realistic, seeing you couldn't fight one on one with it.

 

 

 

RSC was bad graphical wise, but it had something, if you never played it you will probely not understand it, but I for one miss it. (too bad JaGeX deleted my account so I can't even go back there :( )

I want to enjoy members in rsc, never had the chance to :wall: . The only thing i have not forgotten about rsc is the lesser demon attack animation way back then.. hawt 8-)

are you kidding me? if rs2 never came I wouldn't be playing now. But yeah, the community was nicer then, before jagex had such a young target audience. Which makes no sense, you need to be 13 or older to play, but theyre advertising to kids 13 or younger #-o

Firstly, there's a difference between missing RSC and wishing RS2 was never created. I, personally, miss the old RuneScape. Yes, many people throw that sentence around without meaning it, or without even having played it. Although I do miss it, I don't oppose the advent of RS2. I think in RSC (as we now know it), players were more independant. We found our own ways around the map, we learnt skills ourselves. We killed monsters without protection prayers. But with RS2, everything seems to be so 'user friendly', to the point where we're almost being spoon-fed. They've made the game more accessible to younger players by helping them settle into the game better. I miss the independence, the possibility of discovering new places by simply stumbling upon them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However: I think RS2 was a necessary update. It's allowed the game to evolve in ways RSC wouldn't have permitted due to graphic restraints, etc. Also: I play RS on an on-and-off basis, never continuously for a couple of months. I took a break from RSC and only started playing again after 6 months because of RS2.

Sure I miss it, I loved it at the time and didn't care about the graphics. Infact the "bad" graphics kept the annoying nooblets away from the game. Maintaining a relatively good community as only the more mature players played, thats not saying however that everyone was mature and sure there were scammers and "noobs". It's like talking to an elderly person "Back in my day we did it this way...". Nostalgia they call it, sure rsc was a great game and I would love to play it again but sometimes people just romanticise it into something it wasn't.
