  1. Hmm, I lowered the mithril botls to 125 GP each and still got no buyers. I'm going to further lower it to 120 and see what happens.
  2. Does anyone else find items harder to sell now since the release of the GE? A few days ago, I was about to sell 50k mithril bolts for about 130 GP each rather quickly. However, I put 9k mithril bolts in the GE last night and checked today, and there were no buyers. The same goes for rune arrows. I've always sold them pretty easily, but I put some of them in the GE for 400 each, and again, there were no buyers. I tookt hem out and started selling manually, and I immediately got a guy who bought 100 for 40k. Is this just a hype because everyone is still trying out the GE? Or have items actually become harder to sell now?
  3. A while ago, red chinchompas were around 750-800 each, but now, many people are selling for 600-700 each. Did they go down in price, or are people just being confused by the Grand Exhange's prices?
  4. Well, after hearing arguments from various sources, I'm still inclined to agree that honor stakes could become common. Before the dueling update, a losing opponent could click "x" and have a high chance of not losing their item. With "honor" stakes, there's nothing from preventing the losing player from refusing to give the items, which is just as easy as x-ing out. If a player who is about to lose 50m is honorable enough to not click the "x" button, (s)he should be honorable enough to trade over the "stakes" after the duel.
  5. Did they really go down that much in price? No wonder why that guy was only willing to pay 50k the other day. I guess I should probably lower my price.
  6. Am I just unlucky or are god pages harder to sell these days? Usually, on server 2, there's a spot where many people trade god pages. However, I checked there and there's very little people. A while ago, I was able to sell Saradomin pages at 100k rather fast, but I've been trying to sell a Saradomin page 2 for 100k for some time, and there's no buyers.
  7. A few months ago, dragon bones were around 1.4k each. However, after mass bans of autoers and real-world traders, the price went up to around 1.8k each. Several weeks ago, I bought some for 1.8k each, and then many people started selling for 1.6k each. Now, some people are selling for only 1.5k each, and even lower. Does this mean that the autoers are getting back in action? I certainly hope not...
  8. In this case, the buyer only pays 50 each. Jagex has said that the buyer might not have to pay as much as (s)he offers. :)
  9. It seems that ranarrs have gone up in price again. I'm having trouble buying even at 7,000 GP. However, the price for rings of life are indeed inflated. The market price is around 4-5k, but I can't sell for lower than 7.3k. :\
  10. A while ago, I wrote a guide on how to merchant by buying from general shops and selling to players. However, after the update, it's no longer possible to buy coal at 13 gp each, or essence at 1 gp. Ah well, it wasn't really a major way of making money, anyways.
  11. Unfortunately, due to the Grand Exchange update, this guide is now dead. However, I'll leave it up for historical reasons.
  12. Good point, the 2 people could just have their rules and show their inventories with whatever they are able to use and the cash and skull then kill. Simple as pie. except for ppl using dragon imps to bank the expensive items in their inventory first. Did you mean imp boxes? I'm pretty sure that dragon imps don't bank items.
  13. Hmm, I have a crazy idea that could push the determined price down. For example, have a player trade a mask to a trustworthy friend for 1 gp. The friend trades the mask back for 1 gp. Keep repeating the process.
  14. Congratulations on making it that far. I just got 1800 myself not too long ago! Anyways, here are your cookies!
  15. I've gone on several major family vacations in my life, and the ones I loved the most are as follows: 1. 1998 Yellowstone trip - I miss that one a lot 2. 1999 Alaska cruise - went with my friend and my cousins' familes; it was awesome! 3. 2000 Southwest trip 4. 2001 Canada trip 5. 2002 Hawai'i trip - went to O'ahu and Kaua'i with my cousins' family 6. 2003 Southwest trip 7. 2004 Alaska trip 8. 2007 Colorado trip
  16. I talked to Pual Gower a few days ago, and he said that the limit was "unlikely" to be temporary. But then again, "unlikely" does not mean "never."
  17. I'm sorry that this isn't really related to RuneScape, but I'm considering making some professional-looking banners for another site. I've seen some Photoshop tutorials, but unfortunately, I don't have Photoshop, so I'm considering using GIMP, which is free. If anyone has any good GIMP tutorials, I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks in advance.
  18. I wouldn't meet any online contacts in real life for the above reasons. I'm paranoid about people on the Internet, and my parents feel the same way. I did meet someone (on another forum) in real life after I learned that he worked at my university, but that's only after I did careful checks against the school's directory to make sure that he indeed worked at my school.
  19. Here are mine: Real life: I'm thankful for my family, my friends, and all the support that they ever gave me. I'm also thankful for my wonderful university, the University of California, Berkeley. Go Bears! I'm also thankful for my wonderful "35 mW" green laser that I won from Spectra Forum. RuneScape: I'm thankful for my all my RuneScape friends who have encouraged and supported me, especially after I got banned. There's way too many of you to name!
  20. I agree. :\ The "as long as you don't break rules, you have nothing to worry about" stuff is complete bull.
  21. Well, if anyone decides to trust/honor stake, please post the results!
  22. Or maybe the other person will get banned for RWT because Jagex detected an unbalanced trade.
