Prices of rares?
Weren't red masks nearing 38M in December? :? At any rate, I'm no stock broker, so I can't tell you whether to sell or buy. If you want to sell then go right for it; if you want to hold on to it then more power to ya.

RSC
Honestly it wouldn't matter much if my stats carried over or not, since my account has access to Classic as is now. I'd play for the month. By the by, with everyone saying that they have all these accounts on RSC, are they quite aware that Jagex recently clamped down even harder, and forced most everyone to sign/acknowledge their RSCness on the forums? (If you didn't know or didn't sign, there's a real good chance you can't go back to Classic.)

Is it my fault?
I don't think it's on your end, since DNS servers are typically assigned at random by your ISP.

Buy your armor now for prices are to go up
I'm willing to bet you haven't seen anything above the God-tombs (Armadyl, Angel of Death, etc)... I guess that armor is falling because people need to replace less of it at one time. (Verac helmet: 2.1M. Bummer if you lost it at KQ, which I have twice.) Think about this, too -- there's significantly more armor in circulation than you're led to believe. This means that prices will lower.

I Am So Mad At Everyone!!! (May Contain Offensive Language)
Well, it's a pity you didn't learn from your mistakes the past...eleven times. Perhaps you should take a break from RuneScape and understand that naivety isn't something that's very smart to do nowadays. I so want to put that in my signature, but it would look big and awkward anyway. Sly, would I have your permission to quote you?

A Lack of Communication, A Lack of Respect
I'm not going to argue with you over the quality or quantity of CS we get, but this is what I have a problem with:

Tip.It gave me a virus!!!!!
So explain to us then, how do you use a P2P client "correctly"?... Downloading anything online, even through a P2P client you thought you could trust always carries the risk of catching a virus. You just don't realize that. Tip.it may try its best not to give you any malware, but unless those ads are theirs and theirs alone, you can't guarantee anything. They do a pretty good job of keeping their ads clean and in line, but since Google gives you the ads to display (and Google might not check for adware/malware in the people that give them ads), there's no implied guarantee that it's safe at all.

Treasure Trails making me want to smash my computer
...So, why'd you get your hopes up over luck-of-the-draw? If it happens that's more power to you; if it didn't, that shouldn't make you want to destroy your computer...

Tip.It gave me a virus!!!!!
I dont use firefox, born and raised on IE, i find firefox too odd a look for me. Oh. Well that explains it, then. IE is an okay browser -- in my humble opinion -- if you're being held up at gunpoint. I'd advise you look into getting either Firefox or Opera, for your own safety. There are some skins available for Firefox that can make it look like IE...

What will happen to world 2 and forums?
I'm quite sure that they'll be fine...and if the merchants can't do their job, it's about time they used some of that income to do some hard quests.

Driving me insane
All these types of posts do is to further prove that we can't appreciate what we've begged for. Somehow, I'm a lot more willing to believe that the players arguing against RWT/bots enjoyed the argument more instead of an actual solution. You make a good point, though. If people are going to complain, at least let them present their ideas in a constructive manner, instead of acting like a damn martyr.
-
A better compromise
What's more foolproof in a war against RWT and bots, some cockamamie method that hasn't withstood the acid test of time, or something that's almost guaranteed to distinguish bots/RWTers from genuine players? Age is also a bit presumptuous. Most people think that if your account was created before or on a certain day, you've gotta be a good guy. I don't think you'd have to go far in the community to put that argument to bed...

We want wild back
But the wilderness and duel arena were the ONLY things that made runescape unique, now its just world of runescape, exactly the same as every other crappy mmorpg with no risk pvp on the market. Only thing that was unique, eh? Couldn't come up with anything better than that? C'mon now, think about it for a second. Most MMOGs nowadays usually follow the same genre...medieval, futuristic, or a mix of both with a linear (or non-linear) set of quests, minigames, and various PvP environments. While each game, one could argue, feels like they're made with the same cookie cutter, there's various things about each and every MMOG out there that give it its uniqueness. Trust me when I tell you that PKing isn't the only thing that made RS unique, and if you can't see that, you sure do have a narrow perception. What do you play for, anyway? Your signature says you quit. Unless now, of course, you're being a hypocrite (and even confirming this with the wishy-washy stance you take on others playing this game), you sure don't come off sounding like you're making any sense. [hide=Here, just in case you forgot] [/hide] Congratulations. I didn't think that you could miss the point of that post so badly. I think it's safe to assume that you're considerably conceited, and as such, me posting this will only infuriate you slightly more, and as such, make you demand to see my RS levels. (Let me tell you this: you only outrank me in Strength and Woodcutting, not like I'd care -- I'm at that certain echelon where I can't give a damn about your levels at all.) What Dark_Aura was trying to say, before your ego butted in, was that he didn't think that PvP was the only unique thing in RuneScape, either. He made a rather baseless [at first] accusation towards you, calling you the arrogant, lazy, PKer type -- although you may have just proven him right by running off at the mouth, and saying something before actually thinking about the post. Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Now then, I'm sure you have a post a-brewin' that can't really counter some of the points I've provided, although I'm not one to say it's impossible. I'm sure that anyone with an imagination could think of something unique about this game.

We want wild back
There is more to the world of RuneScape than what was contained in that tiny place anyway. If you can't find any more fun in the game, with all of its PvP opportunities and minigames, then why bother complaining about the Old Wilderness? Face it. I'd rather have what we do now than have the game overrun by autoers. If it destroyed a part that's fun to you, then I'll get started on playing you a sad, sad song on the worlds' smallest violin. [Learn to find something else to do or be quiet about it and move on.]

Tip.It gave me a virus!!!!!
It must be really weird...I have NoScript installed and I also have the default/traditional setting of blocking pop-ups in Firefox, and I have yet to see any pop-up appear from this site. Find NoScript and turn on the pop-up blocker.

I think we need a Linux sticky. Submit info now!
If you're talking the basics of the Linux distros, then you're talking a whole 'nother thread. There's a lot of information that newbies to the OS have to understand before they get their hands on it. Just cleaning this thread up won't be enough. I could give plenty information about this though. :P

HTML help
HTML is a markup syntax. It can't do anything dynamic or logical. You're stuck with using the JavaScript methods listed here already. I don't do much JavaScripting myself, but I think what these guys have up here is alright.

Why didn't Jagex just remove skilling?
Didn't we already go over this? Non-combat skills are useful for one thing and one thing only-- Arbitrary quest requirements. Oh, I guess you forgot the part where almost all of our non-combat skills link back directly to Combat. Dark bows, whips, Dragon arrows and darts, and other things that aren't found in shops...how else are we going to get those? Remember that when you go around flinging your whip like it's your right to have it.
-
Why didn't Jagex just remove skilling?
Removing skilling from RuneScape would be like having unnecessary surgery to remove your hands. Realize the difference between a side-activity and something that's absolutely vital. PvP is a side-activity; skills are vital.
-
Is it really possible to quit?
No, it's very possible to quit. One just needs to have a distraction. For those that haven't quit or play every so often, they're either not distracted enough or they can't afford to play other games. If they come to forums related to the game they've quit, there's a very good chance that they're here for the community instead of the game...

P2P VS. F2P--- Greediness
You opened that can of worms for yourself. You should know by now that if someone's offering free money or anything of that nature, they're naturally going to take it... My opinion is that this experiment was rather foolish. You should know by now that people are greedy, and it doesn't matter whether or not they pay to play the game or not.

Runescape site not working, help please.
If this problem still persists (I sure hope not), try these three things. 1. Type in the full address (http://www.runescape.com). 2. If that doesn't work, press the Winkey + R and type in cmd. From there, type in ipconfig /flushdns. 3. Check to see that you have permission to connect to that website (might be behind a firewall, something).

I think we need a Linux sticky. Submit info now!
How about...no. We don't need more Mac fanboys saying how cool or how much better their OS is over Windows. Besides, Mac support is commercially available; if I'm not making money helping a Mac person with their computer problem, why should I bother? A Linux sticky would be a nice thing to have here, since it'd answer plenty of questions about the OS and point various tinkerers in the right direction with their experimenting. I don't know why, but I can't *really* see the problem, unless they get a distro that doesn't have a LiveCD environment. Provided, of course, if the idea behind the LiveCD is explained properly (and thoroughly), then people shouldn't make stupid mistakes like installing something they've never messed with before onto their perfectly fine machine. But yeah, a *nix sticky would be nice to have. Help some of the rookies out there answer their questions here. :P
