Are you kidding me? Are you even coherent? Do you wipe yourself? Do you have any idea of how a business is expected to operate? If any of the above answers are "No" then forgive me, just ignore what I say. I'm upset that they continue to release graphics updates when it is perfectly clear that 98% of the people do not even care about it! Honestly...an update that I didn't like...what a joke. I don't like 95% of the updates, but I don't really make a fuss about it. WE DO NOT NEED MONTHLY GRAPHICS UPDATES. If McDonalds got rid of their French Fries, would people have the right to be mad? What if McDonalds started to make nothing but new FISH entrees, and stopped making burgers, should people get mad? Yes. When a company has CONCRETE KNOWLEDGE of what their customers enjoy, they should cater to their needs, not to the thing that they want THE FRIGGN LEAST. This is not about ME, jagoff, because I rarely play this game. This is about outrage that 1.) Jagex doesn't even care about the polls and 2.) If they do care about the polls, they completely fail. Im interested where you plucked the 98% figure from. Jagex has made it clear that they are commited to improving the graphics of the whole game, nothing you can do about it, dont like it? Well i dont like pking or lag shame about that isnt it? Tbh most Runescape players are stupid, today in the museum the amount of people shouting what do i do here? wheres the tool rack? whats pottery? was astonishing (note most of these people where lvl 80+). So i wouldnt listen to what these people suggested either. The fact is that making a graphics update wont stop anyone playing except for the lvl 108's with 7000 hours of play time behind them who thought to themselves 'this is the update to rekindle my interest in this game.' and were disappointed that it wasnt teh uber new skillzor. This most definetely IS about you, you couldnt care less that many people actually enjoy graphics updates you only care that you DONT. P.s:Polls are not responded to by everyone and thus cannot be said to be representative of the populace, also any significant update takes ages to implement and proof.

Why regret playing a game? I think people delude themselves into thinking they would be the smartest/sexiest/most popular person if it weren't for Runescape but i gaurantee you playing this game has nothing to do with your lack of social skills or ability to do well at school/work. Blaming a game for ruining your social life is beyond moronic. YOU ARE LAME BECAUSE YOU ARE LAME not because of Runescape, sorry. (btw thats not aimed at anyone specifically just a general back handed swipe accross the flanks of all the people blaming Runescape for their loserliness).

I hit the 'maturity' stage (last stage) as soon as i started the game, i was very polite and basically didnt speak to people much, then i picked up the slang, felt i was comfortable using it (btw i don't undertsand the stigma attached to abbreveations, they are simply used to speed things up), i am pretty much mature, but i do occasionally lose my head in the face of a barrage of abuse or something of the like.

Never heard of someone committing suicide because they couldn't quit music. At least music can tell you about the [cabbage] that everyone faces in life and how to deal with it, unlike a game. So you'd rather be playing a game 24/7 or whatever and gain lots of weight? At least you can listen to your iPod and jog at the same time. 1)anyone who commits suicide because they can't quit a game is so stupid they would have died anyway (probably painfully), if someone actually has commited suicide because they couldnt quit this game i have no sympathy. 2)if you think music can teach you about life you are deluded. Music, like the stuff you listed ('linkin park' et al) is about record sales, them singing about how hard life is is [cabbage]. 3)I'd rather not do anything 24/7 actually. Sure you can listen to music and jog but still neither jogging nor listening to music or combining them is anymore useful/valid/prideful(almost certainly not a word)/"insert any word you want" than playing a game. Also theoretically you could jog and play runescape. sorry for the off-topicness but i felt it was neccesary. On-topic: its so hard to quit because people stop for how every many months, look back (at the game) and see somthing new, they play and find out they are not bored staright away and there you have it, playing again.

Muuuuuuuust respond. How is listening to music more worthy than playing a game? Thats literally the stupidest thing anyones ever said. For one music is not interactive, sure you can listen and do a jig or sing but you are not influencing the music, with a game, what you do matters. I'm seriously gobsmacked by this and hope its some sort of post-modernist humour. If you say you dont liek the game for whatever reason fine thats cool, but saying listening to music is something to be more PROUD of than playing a game is insanity. Maybe you don't know what pride is, im not sure. I don't care if you listen to whatever music rather than playing a game but saying one is a waste of time and the other isn't is rtarded.

You are being far too defensive, you give reasons for disliking pures (actually you say pures suck because its unfair and takes up the high scores palces which are hardly sensible reasons) and then people come along and say actually i think pures are good because of 'insert reasons' then you flame them. Why one earth did you start a thread like this if you can't handle anyone having an opinion that is contrary to your own? I suggest next time you make a post put a caveat in the title along the lines of 'i dont actually want any discussion i want you to agree with me or i will flame you'.

Everyone saying none of the quests are hard is either a genius or used guides. When i first started Desert Treasure (just the first hard one i thought of) i had no idea what was going on and in the end had to resort to using a guide because i literally had no clue what to do. I'm actually fairly anti-quests because some of them don't give you nearly enough information to complete them without running around like a moron for several hours doing everything you can possibly think of, if nothing else the hardest quests require an amazing amount of patience/determination/thinking the likes of which i've never seen in a computer game, unless of course you use a guide. Everyone including an/the? admin (and me =D> ) is going off on massive tangents (lol massive tangents) here.

A non-skiller could just as easily and validly claim that the 61 (i think) crafting requirment for Lunar Diplomacy quest (and thus the quest cape) is unfair to non-skillers.

Lots of harshness in some of these replies, he didnt exactly say LOOK AT ME IM SPECIAL LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK did he? You saw what you wanted to see and attacked, grow up. A lot of people in this game piss me off, they are ignorant, stupid and annoying, thus some days i limit my exposure to them by 'hiding' myself away at dust devils or something, i don't pk because i have a funny feeling i would suck at it, i (mass) fletch and alch now but i didnt untill about 2 months ago, i talk to people quite a lot actually, i have few friends because its very hard for me to make a connection with someone i've never met and also a lot of ex-'friends' are people who basically steal from me (can i BORROW this etc.. with no intention of ever giving anything back). At the end of the day everyone plays the game differently and thats cool. After all its a GAME.

Point: Runescape is a fantasy world , saying names like Ithilia or Theodin fit the time period is less than clever (i know jagex said the ingame time period is akin to our own medieval period but its not an exact replica is it now), also theodin? Ithilia? When and where were people in the real world called these names? Maybe in Lord of the Rings? I'm fairly sure you don't give a [cabbage] about the stuff you are lambasting but the 'humour' will not carry here, i said it before about one of your posts and i'll say it again, the style of writing and the out of the blue insults (like 'die fatherless loser') are very reminiscent of Maddox's disents on... well everything on his rather spiffy website.

Hmmm lets think, in real life i'm rarely in a situation where having a weapon would help, and even if i did have a dragon scimitar or whatever if i used it i'd be going to jail, so no weapons for me. Gold bar seems a wise choice alround as long as the gold in runescape is the same gold as here in real life (hypotheticals ftw), I would also bring a ranarr seed (prayer ftw and i would not need a game rake,watercan w/e cause we have those in real life), ring of life is tempting but im not sure how well that would transfer to real life (hypotheticals ftl :wall: ) so my last choice would be (thinking really hard) a glory ammy assuming that teleport to edgeville translates to teleport to another country in real life (free instantaneous travel ftw). 1)Gold bar 2)Ranarr seed 3)Glory amulet

I lost : Full Rune (excluding shield), dragon scimitar,amulet of glory, ring of life (LOL),klanks gauntlets, dds, some tele runes (teleblocked ftl), a few monkfish and anti-fire shield. Don't attack pkers at green dragons when you are woefully unprepared was the lesson i learnt. Edit:I've died roughly 7 times every single time i was wearing a ring of life, [bleep] ring of lifes. :P and the froobish pkers/demons that KO me with 10 then 11 hits or whatever and Dharok for hitting me 38. (tongue in cheek)

I've been playing since last September, so 9 months, i have no idea when i will stop playing the game it could be tommorow or it could be in 5 years (assuming the game itself doesnt end), i actually stopped playing for 3 weeks (wow i know :P) because everytime i'd logged on for a week i was bored when i came back i was no longer bored :)

We'll all be dead in 50 years, so no Runescape, or a Runescape played exclusively by cockroaches.

Tis fun is it to stand on a hill for 40 minutes doing nothing? LOL. I have seen lvl 126's with full 'my pking stoof costs millions noone will attack me' gear on rcpking, they may be 'good pkers' i don't know but i do know that if your outfit costs 1mil+ you are wasting your time attacking rcers. Unless i'm missing something standing still ingame for long periods of time is no more interesting than doing so in real life.

This topic goes to prove several things, firstly that if you offer people a chance to show how clever they are and they will rip you're arm off, secondly clever and stupid people don't mix well, thirdly people get stuck thinking that scientific 'constants' are anything but ideas we've had that will be proved incorrect in 500 years. On topic:I can stand 2 feet from a 15 foot tall demon while he pummels me for...no damage whatsoever, and on the offchance that he does hit me i can teleport/eat to heal \ or even just run away about 20 feet at which point the demon will become broed and ignore me.

Just to say, you're computer can upload keyloggers without you being aware of it, or actively doing anything (aside from being on a suspicious{read porn/game cheating) site-in fact i've had various different pieces of garbish uploaded onto my computer without my acceptance/knowledge from sites you would imagine are secure-like yahoo for example :P). My password for runescape is unguessable, noone will ever GUESS it, and its not even alpha-numeric its purely alphabetical. I sure hope noone takes my asertion that my pass can't be guessed as a challenge :-w

There probably wont be a Runescape 3 game, they seem to be capable of improving graphics to the point where it looks like an early ps2 game which is impressive (going on the recent updates), i personally want the landcape to be given an overhaul because at the moment the ground you walk on looks awful. In 2 years i'm sure the whole game will have been given a full graphical fix/improvement, but the question is will Runescape be popular or even relevant in the MMORPG market?

What this update is: a way for you to 'master' an area, i.e:to do everything you can in one region, and be rewarded for it. If you look at your average high lvl player they have several sets of full rune one to all barrows armours, all dragon items, a rare or two and millions of gp, they have played pc hundreds of times, hell they have done everything (at least)hundreds of times,this is a way for them to keep track of all their achievements and earn additional rewards for doing so. Seriously nothing wrong with this update, if you think it's cheap and lazy of Jagex then noone can help you, you're stuck feeling this way.
