  1. No. I think it's a little obvious they were having a hard time looking for something to criticize.
  2. I take my dog to the river. It's a pretty fast moving one that's made up of glacial melt water from Glacier Peak (very huge mountain in the Cascade Mountains), so it's probably below zero in it right now. What you do is throw a tennis ball far upstream, and he'll jump in and battle the current to get to the ball and try to swim back. There's a huge one-story high boulder in this part of the river and one time he went so far upstream and was swimming back when he hit the boulder and went under. A few seconds later he popped up a few yards downstream from the boulder still holding the tennis ball. Oh and I have bad luck with cats, all of mine (except for the gigantic feral one we adopted) ended up as kitty splats on the road. :)
  3. Some types of Satanism don't believe in the same Satan as in the Bible. The biggest branch of satanism, Laveyan satanism believes that you are a god and doesn't believe in any deities. What's the name for the philosophy where you think you're the only one who exists? It starts with an 's' I think. Stoicism? Selfishness?
  4. The author doesn't mean those Goths.

  9. My friend once told me a story similar to this... He was little and his dog had puppies. 12 of them to be exact. And he tried to give them a bath. He drowned all of them. I cried after he told me this story. :( You don't give pets baths. You give them SHOWERS. All my cats and parrots loved it. (I mean in a sink of course...)
  10. lol Be glad no PETA activist is here.
  11. I'd say have the light source in the upper-right and shade it accordingly.
  12. Goths don't worship the devil. Only a few cults with about 10 members do. :)
  13. My dog follows laser pointers like a cat. Makes a ton of noise when you have him chase it.
  14. People also don't expect their kids to learn about sex, drugs and alchohol in a school either, but they do, a lot more than more parents will let themselves believe. Keeping it out of a game is stopping little pixels while the things they encounter with people from their own school can and does go well beyond just talk. If these things are such issues, effort should be put into the schools and real places it can have an effect, not a game. I don't want to sound hostile or anything but all this effort in the 'cyber world' to stop these problems does nothing to stop the true issues, it just shifts them. If im following you correctly which correct me if im not, your saying not enough is done in the real world combared to the cyber world? I beg to differ at our school and its even a high school we still get in quite a bit of trouble for talking about these things so i believe its more of a problem in cyber world then real world. Mainly because in the cyber world you get what a banned account big whoop your parents never find out. but if you get in trouble for it in the real world you get suspension and more not to mention being made fun of. It's loads easier to get caught on the internet than a public school. Trust me I know, they will have been 'exposed' around the 4th grade.
  15. *Cough*TheGiver*Cough* :P :o :o :o That's a really stupid policy.

  21. I love that video. Firefox has about a billion add ons for anything from mouse gestures to saving youtube videos, themes and copy as HTML. It also has more features than IE and is more standards-compliant.
  22. Save them to the folder you want, click the start button and go to My Computer, then navigate to the folder you saved them in and they should be there.

There might of been a massive flood around the Black Sea a few thousand years ago, but nothing like the Flood in the Bible.
  24. There's no evidence that cows, etc have feelings. If the world became vegetarian, millions of people would die of hunger because many third-world countries rely on it. And the grain/grass/leftovers that the animals eat is not edibal to humans. Ok... My definition of feelings is being able to feel pain, aka having pain receptors and such, and animals definitely have that. I don't get the part about how millions of people would die of hunger. Perhaps you never heard of the 10%/100% ratio. Basically, 10% of whatever you eat gets converted to tissues, or some type of mass within the animal. Let's say a chicken eats 100 lbs of grains, 10% of that is used for building tissues in the chicken, etc. The other 90% is burned for fuel or expelled. So what the people are trying to say is, that instead of feeding 100 lbs of grains to animals to get 10 lbs of meat, we could distribute the 90 lbs surplus grains to other people. And I'm pretty sure most farm animals are fed with food that's edible for humans. In humans, pain only relates to a few feelings. If you think of animals with human brains and feelings ect, like they don't have, then that isn't true. Yes they would. Lots of people rely on meat and don't have soy beans and portabello mushrooms. Here's some pig foods: And bovine foods: Some regions don't have grain at all.
  25. Yep that's what I was aiming it at. :)
