well i just brought 10kflax and am spinning it to lvl craft +make money, i will make about 120g from each flax spun and i spent 600k so im expecting to get back about 1.3m, i know it will take a while but then i will have 3.5m and i can buy some equips to go dragons :) That's a good choice. Dragons are far superior money then any gather skills. And a little side advice, most people on this forum will tell you that godswords are obsolete(Bar a few nitch uses). So buying one isn't too good of an idea. That money would be better spent on a Berserker ring to use along side of your whip. ok its just i thought gs was best for gwd, but is whip dfs better? also whats a good spec wep and whats a good strength lvler Whip + dragon defender is best for all basic fighting. Eventually a Chaotic Rapier when you can bring yourself to Dungeoneer enough for it. Specialized things like DFS'es and such have very few, nitch uses. None of which i think you'll be doing at your level. And more and more people are using Whips at godwars instead of godswords(Chaotics are of course better, but I'm mainly focusing on people without them) since the dragon defender further adds to the whip's accuracy. As for dragon killing, since you don't have 85 herblore for super antifires, a DFS would be ideal. But that money would be more useful put into another skill(Prayer, herblore) or a Amulet of Fury. For a spec weapon, a DDS would be best for you. More ideal spec weapons like claws and enhanced Excalibur are a bit out of reach with your levels and budget. And for Strength training, the best would be to pick up a Saradomin Sword and training with it. The best training spots would be slayer(15% boost from a black mask, experience in multiple skills. Like summoning, slayer, and the combats your training), Ankou, and armored zombies. The latter if which requires you to finish Defender of Varrock. And if you're killing anything undead, be sure to use a Salve amulet(Preferably enchanted, received after the Haunted Mine quest).

What is up with all the usual money making methods going dry?
HexiledRazz replied to brad1431's topic in Help and Advice
It's pretty easily explained: More people have gotten worth-it runecrafting levels over time though effgies and the such. Not to mention that new ways to get to the nature altar have slowly lowered the prices of natures. Limiting x2 natures runecrafting's profits. As for slaying, it used to be moderate cash(Only because it took so freaking long to train and the cash just builds up >.>) due to whips and other unique drops. However, upon the dawn of free trade returning and the old/new wild, whips were no longer lost on death. Thus causing the price to drop. And once the price dropped, more people started risking them. Causing the price to drop more. Good money makers right now are things like Nex(Reserved for elites with maxed levels and gear, though) Frosts, and TDs(The more stable incomes) and other bosshunting. Which aren't as predictable as far as income goes. And notice that all these money makers make over and above what the old "best moneymaker" was(x2 natures). Causing some inflation. Times change. Most money making methods are combat-based these days. And the other ones that are good money, don't even give any exp(Making unfins, collecting fungus/ect). I remember when my friend was rich because she constantly cut yews. She bought me some Guthix armor for my birthday with her overflowing monument of cash(By overflowing, i mean 5M). Oh those were the days. </endnostalgia> -

Initiate Pure ( 20 Def Pure ) Advice wanted
HexiledRazz replied to gixer66's topic in Help and Advice
If you get 80 attack at 90ish combat, you'll get destroyed by Zerkers unless you get a rapier right away. It won't take them much to hit though 20 defense and combo you endlessly, so you need to keep your attack moderate and your strength high to combo them back. I'd advise leaving attack as it is, and try to get str as high as possible. -
Are Torstols the most profitable herbs to grow?
HexiledRazz replied to Leoo's topic in Help and Advice
Did you figure in that you can also make those snaps into unfin potions in a few seconds to boost their profit even more? Something to think about, since Torstol doesn't have this advantage; it's useless in an unfin potion state. -
Possibly. Although perhaps moving this H&A to be a subforum of the normal H&A would bring more traffic and keep "efficient" and "general" advice more distinguished. People might take a moment and think if they want efficient advice or more general advice before they post their topic. But then again it also fits very well here. Guess it's just more of a traffic issue. Anyway, I'm glad it seems that this whole "thing" has come to some sort of conclusion(That's what I'm getting from the fact that this subforum was made)

What is your money situation? I'd advise getting turmoil on the first account and do normal rune fights or non-skull dhing if you're feeling cheap. If you're good at it, hybriding is generally more fun/more worth it. But also a bigger risk.

It's a magic-based melee attack. The attack uses your strength bonuses(Equipment, level, prayer, ect) and deals a magic attack with it. Magic bonuses don't count.

how to spec several times with korasi's sword?
HexiledRazz replied to swagcake's topic in Help and Advice
They're spec transfering. I saw some guy with a mage shortbow and a skill cape hood doing the spec transfer emote in some of the first clips. ya, but look at his spec meter, you can see that it is instantly recovering after he uses the spec, and then it is used again, and instantly recovers again It's all timing. Remember this is a video that someone cut together all their better clips. I'm sure they went though months of months of attempts; many failed. Not to mention that they most likely were sitting next to each other or talking on skype. That video was on youtube shortly after the free trade update. It didn't take months. It's all timing. Remember this is a video that someone cut together all their better clips. I'm sure they went though months and months of attempts; many failed. Not to mention that they most likely were sitting next to each other or talking on skype. Or they could just have no lives and play all day. Fixed. -

how to spec several times with korasi's sword?
HexiledRazz replied to swagcake's topic in Help and Advice
I'm pretty sure that it was spec transfer. I notice a lot of those, and it's really hard to see who is transferring spec to them, because i believe the spell has a wide range. If it wasn't spec transfer, it had to be a some sort of bug or glitch. And must have been stamped out within hours of being discovered as i didn't hear anything about it, and it would have been widely abused given the time. -
This possibly. With the exception that it takes up your protected item slot. So you can't really use a great spec weapon in conjunction with it. But in all honesty, i think you would get the bad luck of being smited out and lose the bow before you use it long enough that you would have racked up the bow's price in ammo for other range weapons. But, as i believe Grimy said a few weeks after the bow came out, the only advantage that the expensive bow has, is that it will save money. A item of irony >.>

The best thing you can do right now is get 94 prayer for vengeance. Then i would suggest saving money for 95 prayer and turmoil. And try to fit maxing out in there somewhere. It's best to PK on a maxed or near-maxed account, that way you're sure you're clear of all the specialized accounts like zerkers and range tanks. But other then that, i think most people you'll be facing around 110 combat are going to be mains. But they'd most likely all have vengeance, so you might want to get that as soon as possible to avoid having that disadvantage. And please stop using a RoL in fights. It's god annoying when my fights tele away because they're afraid to lose 300k. Recoil is a suitable replacement. Also, you won't get too many fights with a Korasi(At least i didn't when i PKed with it). So I'd advise on sticking with a whip + dds. But this is mostly just me talking using my personal "code" i've developed for PvP. So do what ever you wish.

12-Apr-2011- Clan Camp, Support and Web Pages
HexiledRazz replied to DarkDude's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, yeah, clan stuff. Not interested. Blah blah blah... FINALLY. BEST. UPDATE. THIS. MONTH. (What can i say? I hated the old holding animation of longswords and scimitars  ) -
Mhm, i believe 5 minutes. And i think they last 7 with Berserk activated... Though i might be confusing that with overloads.
-
The button works fine for me on the deflection theme. I just have to click on the logo; don't have any text saying "home" underneath it  Perhaps a browser problem?

thanks, my main concern is that if i get membership back, will i automatically get my mem gravestone back or will i have to buy it back That much i can answer. Yes, you will retain your member's gravestone.
-
Actually I think I read on the knowlege base that your member's gravestone will carry over to F2P. Though the knowledge base can be... Unrelyable at times. So you best try to find someone who got a member's grave and went F2P.
-
I wouldn't. You don't want to stop in the middle of a floor to make a platebody. I would suggest keeping the platebody bound, and just using the rapier they give you at the start of the floor to sweep it. It's what i do and it works pretty well.

I'm gonna' add to this topic, but it's going to mostly be about single player game cheating. As multiplayer cheating has already been debated on both this topic and rather harshly on it's predecessor. Under certain circumstances, it really waters down the experience of certain games(At least for me, it does). I enjoy certain aspects of every game i play. And other aspects... Not so much. Take Minecraft for an example. I have two worlds that i play on: One that i can use any cheats i want and have the difficulty set to peaceful, and another that i have the difficulty set to normal, and don't use any cheats on it, with a few exceptions. I've only INVedited in myself one of each diamond tool with nearly unlimited uses. As constantly making stone tools is more annoying then it is challenging. And I'll use a cartographer, but that's more so just so i can have a map of my world rather then to cheat. I hardly ever play on the one that i allow myself to cheat on. Because there really isn't any work involved in building something. Say i wanted to build a giant tower out of gravel and sandstone. With my cheating world, i can instantly start building the tower as i have already hacked in everything i need. However, on my non-cheating world, i have to hunt around underground for veins of gravel, and collect them. And on top of that, i have to turn beaches and deserts upside down to get enough sand to create the sandstone i need. The tower i built on my cheating world took me three hours, and the gratification i receive after completing it is about as fulfilling as eating my own snot(Catch the reference). However, the tower i built on my creative world took me a week of playing a healthy amount every day, and once i finish my tower I'm so proud that when ever i talk to my friends they have to tell me to shut up about it. For Minecraft, it's a little obvious that cheats can water down the experience for people. Unless you're someone who just enjoys to build endlessly. Then possibly just giving yourself all the materials is viable if you won't lose interest. I however, enjoy gathering my stock of materials. Another cheating instance i've experienced is Pokemon. Around last year, i finally started training Pokemon using all of the hidden numbers to my advantage. Natures, EVs, IVs, ect. I would spend hours trying to find Ditto with good IVs and natures to breed with. And after that, i would try and breed the perfect pokemon, use breeding parents to get them the perfect moves, and EV training to get them the perfect stats. Then i would trade them over to my diamond version to level them up via hacked rare candies. This amount of cheating didn't water down the experience for me at all. Because it was either going to be this, or grind a pokemon to level 100 for three hours at a training spot. Which i wasn't about to do. However, a few months ago i discovered something that, at the time seemed amazing: Pokesav. Basically what Pokesav is, it's a program where you can edit any aspect of your saved game. Including Pokemon down to all of their hidden numbers. And with enough research, i could make the pokemon basically look 100% legit. So, i did this and pokesaved a few good pokemon. Of course they had pure stat advantages over my old ones that i raised legitly. Because all of their numbers were perfect. ...But there was one problem with this: I quickly got bored of the game and stopped playing it. Hell, i didn't even finish SoulSilver and catch all the legendaries until months later. I still don't think i've caught mewtwo. So i've decided that i need to stop using Pokesav and just train and raise pokemon normally. I don't even do any competitive battling, so perfect stats mean very little to me. I just enjoyed breeding, raising, and training pokemon. But i just took a shortcut and started hacking them in for no benefit other then flawless stats. Lastly there's GTA. Realisticly, since the cheats are freggin' programed into the game, i think they're meant to be used. I've played though GTA games without cheats, and once I'm finished, one of the only fun things left to do it go on killing rampages with all the best weapons, or fly to the sky limit with a helicopter, jump out, and dive bomb into a sidewalk without a parachute(Trust me, you should try this. I find it hilarious). My conclusion/tl;dr summary: Cheating in any single player game(Meaning, as long as you don't get an advantage over other players) is viable IF, it doesn't water down your experience and interest in the game.

You nailed the method dead on. Be sure to keep fury + zerker ring, and any other things that you use a lot. But sell everything else for 95 prayer and extremes.
-
I wouldn't do Between a Rock unless you're 100% sure that you'll use a hand cannon for PKing. And I'd advise at least 92(Half way to 99) firemaking to use it. Because even at 99 it'll blow up a lot. And for Turmoil, only do Defender of Varrock if you're sure it's within your grasps. Meaning having at least 75% of the cash for it, with more cash as a fallback cushion so you're not broke after getting it. With all that being said... Looking at your stats, your Zerker isn't too far along unless you have some massive questing done that i don't know about(It looks like you might have the skilling stats to have gotten Barrows Gloves). So it's still possible for you to start a new one and get everything without going over 45 defense. I managed to level a Rune pure to stats like yours in less then two months. But then again, you might not play nearly as much as i do. So taking the hit on your current account when it comes time might be a better choice. Actually, i was faced with a similar problem as yours the other day. My Zerker was a prefect 45 defense, but i made him two years ago before Between a Rock became a useful quest, and before Defender of Varrock was even released. But a hand cannon and Turmoil are quickly becoming two realistic goals. So i took the hit and quested to 50 defense. Realistically i could have finished Defender of Varrock and Between a rock and just have gotten 47 defense and not have level combat. But I'm superstitious about levels like that. So i took the extra combat level for 50 defense. It's kinda nice actually. Having an extra 5 levels of defense under my belt, plus granite for better protection against the increasing amount of range tanks. And Battle robes + a SoL are great for bursting. So I'll save millions on leveling summoning. So, basically you have a few choices here: 1. Start a new account, level and quest it to get everything at 45 defense. 2. Take the hit and get 46 or 47 defense(Depending if you do just one or both of the quests). 3. Level to 50 defense like i did. You'll get an extra combat level, but you'll also get granite and battle robes. 4. Stay 45 defense and just max out your Zerker as is without curses.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I went on a Barrows run last night, and I actually did pretty good. Only problem is that barrage runes cost so much. So when I finally get a barrows item my profits might be nerfed a bit. I don't really think that there is a way around that though. Because I kinda need blood spells for healing.

I am a Zerker pure no longer! Instead, i dub myself a Battle pure(Battle robes, ect. You get the idea). I made my Zerker almost two years ago, before Defender of Varrock was even released. So i got 45 defense before quests like Between a Rock even became useful. So i decided just today to quest up to 50 defense(I can't stand numbers that don't end in 0 or 5 >.>). Can't say i regret it in the least. Considering that range tanks are a Zerker's main weakness, and granite would remedy that a bit. I don't know how worth it it'll be since i haven't tested it yet, but it's bound to be better then plain old rune. And on top of that, since i plan on training summoning soon, a SoL + Battle robes will be invaluable to me and save me millions. And on top of that, my cashpile seems to be ever-growing and i never really risk big money in PvP or spend rashly. So i guess Turmoil isn't to far-fetched if i really work for it in the next months. And when it comes down to it, it really is only one combat level for 5 more levels of defense, and a few cool money saving features. And tbh, i can't wait for people to try to start trolling me and calling me a failed zerker. Because that's just plain entertainment
