  1. I've heard from multiple sources it's possible, and even easier with that Cloud Browser now. However, to download the app is 3 bucks, and to make it worthwhile(I think) it costs a subscription. And the only other way i hear you can do it is though an app that can control your computer remotely, and just running RS on there. I haven't tried it myself, though. Not even worth it in my book, considering the unbelievably low frame rate makes it almost impossible to do anything. Some of the only things i can think of are maybe ivy, and AFKing at Bandits(Maybe armoreds if it can handle running all the way to the ladder, then back to regain their aggression). I might try it on my iPhone just for lolz. As long as it doesn't cost anything.
  2. Agreed. I find it disappointing when i open a guide and only see a video embedded =\
  3. Those vestments are only good for 1 def pures. As they're the best mage attack they can get plus a small prayer bonus. Other then that, they're pretty useless. Prossy is addy with the prayer bonus of monk robes(The prossy plate has one more prayer then the monk top). And elite void is normal void with four prayer per piece(Top and legs). Both have their uses, and are nice to have. Eventually you should get both.
  4. Quick question about prayer bonus vs str bonus on slayer tasks. I know that generally prossy top + v skirt with a soulwars cape is good for turmoiling all tasks. But with prayer pots as cheap as they are, would i be fine with the +11 prayer bonus my max offence setup gets me? I hear that the general rule of thumb is that the difference between +5 prayer bonus, and +15 is bigger then the difference between, say +15 and +25. Would it be viable for me to get by with my offensive setup(+143 str, +11 player) or should i use my prayer setup(+135 str, +29 prayer)? Would the difference be very noticeable in terms of cash spent on prayer pots(Berserking+Turmoiling all tasks)?
  5. I'll try to explain this the best i can. Basically, they made this update so that it is much easier for players to do floors of the same theme together, even if one of them have already done the floor that the party leader chooses to do. How it works: You have your different themes: Frozen, abans, furnished, abans 2, occults, and warped. Say a party of 3 players want to do an occult floor. The party leader only has the occult floor 45 open. But players 2 and 3 don't have that floor open. However, player 2 has occult floor 39 open, and player 3 has occult floor 47 open. With this update, players can do one floor, and get the exp from another floor in the same theme(Higher floors will take priority over lower floors). That same floor they get the EXP from will be the floor that is ticked off. Hope this helps you understand ^.^
  6. I'm a little bit late, as i got it this Friday. But my friend was over and we were sharing the computer all weekend, so i didn't get a chance to upload until now. :-D I had to give in and do it the easy way: Deflecting. But the Fire Cape has been a goal of mine for over 3 years. Realistically i could have gotten it sooner, but every time Jad kills me i go though a depression where i don't try again for months. But finally having it is refreshing ^.^ If i start slaying, I'll do Jad tasks and get good at killing him with the healers. But for now, I'll enjoy my Fire Cape *huggles*
  7. Don't forget Defender of Varrock, and Between a Rock. And depending on how much EXP you have left until level, you might want to Olaf's Quest, The Holy Grail and other minor quests like A Soul's Bane, The Blood Pact. Reason being is that these quests might be predecessors to other quests with worthwhile rewards, and are worth doing if you have the EXP till level to spare.
  8. Appreciated, looks like ill be hitting pc once i decide to hop on the def train till then..more daemonheim and more daemonheim. Remember to quest for the 42 defense. And i assume you mean PC to get a hold of some void, because it's never wise to train stats with PC
  9. This. The article i skimmed(first one) quoted a lot of scripture, and yet despite that who ever wrote it forgot the fact that it's written that no man nor angel knows the date of judgement day. Realistically it would be possible to make any day seem like judgement day with the math they used of adding and multiplying random numbers of significance together. It saddens me to see things like this, really
  10. Yeah, it's instanced after the quest. What you do is talk to the guy in varrock castle(Can't remember his name.. Starts with an H. He's the one that followed you there the first time) and he'll take you to the trapdoor behind the altar. This particular place is instanced, so no PK'ers. However overloads and extremes will still reset when you pray at the altar. As for the DPS question, i believe full elite void with max str gear would be the best since an altar is right up the ladder. But for AFKability, you might want to go with a better prayer setup. Say, maybe prossy top + v skirt.
  11. The eye of the serpy is ever watchful O.O

  12. Being a new member is fun, so I'd say yes. Just take your time exploring the member's game and enjoy it. Don't worry about being efficient(Unless that's your thing) or skilling to do the next quest to unlock that useful item/feature. Just do quests that seem fun to you. Pay attention to the story and dialog and such. And train skills as you wish.
  13. Not really. They're just novelty weapons that have similar stats to certain metal ones(EG: The cleaver has the same stats as a rune scimitar).
  14. Since you have extremes, maxed melees, and a yak, bosses should be good. TDs(Though your range is a bit low), and herb farming, ect. It would also be good to try to get a rapier on the side. Word of advice: Avoid staking. Or at least limit yourself. Staking does nothing but corrupts your valuing of money making and potentially can wear on your interest in the game. Sure you have a chance to potentially make millions and billions within days, but you can easily lose that amount just as fast.
  15. Thanks guys! I'm beginning to understand a bit more about a few things. So DDR3 RAM is comparable with the newer CPUs. Essentially a newer version, correct? And 64-bit windows doesn't have any repercussions over 32-bit for lower memory? Overall it looks like i should add an extra $100 to my budget. But the way i see it, is that even the bare minimal will be better then what i have now. And would it be possible for me to use my current case for this(Dell Precision 340)? As much as i would hate doing that because of how old it is and all the damage it has, it might be a viable option until i can afford a new one. Lastly, i would like to use my external HHD and put in my new build for the main drive. It would be nice to use the drive from my current PC, but i have a fear that it could give out or something like that because of how old it is. Plus it's kinda small(Only 36~ish gigs). However, depending on the risks of doing that, i might just use the one from my current PC(Though i might have trouble reformatting it since i can't from my current computer. Perhaps put it in my dad's computer as a second drive and reformat?).
  16. Thanks for the list! It's actually all quite affordable. And depending on how things go, i might be able to stretch my budget to $400. I was thinking of the same thing with the external HHD; it's a western digital my book. Though the only problem is that I'm not quite sure if i would have to reformat it. 5+ years of my digital life is on there =S And i am keeping the mouse/keyboard/monitor of my current computer. They're all actually quite new(Except for my speakers, though i use headphones most of the time). Lastly, with a lower amount of RAM, should i install a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7? My computer is to the point where getting a new one is what i really want to do. The current disk drive on it doesn't work, so reformatting from a disk is out of the option. And plus RAM is near-impossible to find for it. I'd rather spent the money on a bare-bones one that i can upgrade as i please, then spend 50 - 75 bucks on parts for this one. But as for the specs: Operating System: Windows XP Professional Model: Precision workstation 340 Processor: IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 CPU 2.00GHz RAM: 512MB Video card: Radeon 7000 series That's all i can really get from the DirectX diagnostic tool. I'm not sure where to find other information =S
  17. I made a post here about a year ago about building my own computer to replace my current one(Dell Precision 340). Long story short, i was aiming kinda' high with my budget(600 - $800) and didn't manage to make the money due to a lack of means. However by using the same computer again for another year, i've gotten a little more desperate(lol) and realistic with my budget(Aiming at around 200 - $300 now). EDIT: Raised my budget by about $100. Around 300 - $400 is going to be my new budget, as i've been told that the extra 100 bucks can really get a lot more. Right now, I'm sure anything could our perform my current computer. It's an old office one that i got off Ebay that i assume has never been reformatted. So I'm just looking for something that will serve my needs, and has the ability to be upgraded in the future. All i really do on my computer atm is some light gaming(Old games like Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, and i occasionally get into WoW), and video editing(Although i haven't in the past months due to the decreasing performance of my system). I would just buy a pre-built system, but for the sake of making it cheaper and upgrading it in the future, I'd like to get the parts and build it myself. Space isn't really an issue as i have a 1 TB external hard drive that I'm not even close to filling. I keep things like pictures, music, and achieved videos on there. So i think 250GB should be fine for my internal hard drive. I know i want windows 7 on it, but after that i really don't know what else would suffice for my needs. So that's why i've came here with my questions. I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to the internal workings of the computer. So say you held out two motherboards in front of me, i couldn't tell you which one would be better for what/ect. But I'm kinda' wondering if you guys could shed some light on the various questions a computer noob can have. How much RAM should i get? Windows 7 in 64-bit sounds appealing as from what i've researched, it can handle larger amounts of RAM(4GB+ i've heard?) better then the 32-bit version. However, when would this pass the threshold of affordability for me? In my thread i made last year, someone made a list for me which seemed pretty good. However a few of the things were pretty expensive. Specifically the video card, and memory, both which were over $100. This is leading me to wonder if i should just skip a graphics card and just use the one built in the motherboard. But do all motherboards have video cards built in? Lastly, will most computer components work/fit together? Or are there certain rules to this? (EG, how can you tell that a certain type or RAM will work with a certain motherboards?) I think when it comes down to it, once i finally have the cash I'll ask someone to make me a list and then order it there and then. But in the mean time, if i could get a few questions answered that would be great. Thanks!
  18. It's up to you if any clue scroll is worth doing. As they're all purely luck.
  19. Nope. Only one clue at a time is allowed, no matter the difficulty.
  20. You have very flawless PKing stats. So I'd keep them as-is, and skip monster hunting if you want to continue doing any PKing that isn't maxed PKing. As mentioned before, there are very few bosses you can do unless you're maxed or near maxed with optimal gear.
  21. If you visit it every day, just 750k is fine. But if it withdraws coffers when the amount is bellow that, you'll get less resources in return. People keep above 750k because they visit it weekly. as it's a bit more practical.
  22. I think you just heard from a very select group of people. If i had quit, no way would i return just because i could get a multi-purpose cape if i got 99(120) in every skill. I'm assuming that's what they're talking about, because it's the only one of the capes that actually looks nice, has good stats, and isn't just a novelty. With that aside, it is still very little incentive to return. It's kinda like saying a player would come back to the game when skill capes were introduced to finish grinding what ever level to 99 just for the cape. Maybe there was a few(if any), but it would have been a very small group.
  23. This is the idea i had. It might be that Jagex would have to change the entire coding for how items are traded. If that's the case, it's a lot of work for such a minor update. Plus there's the added risk of people finding a bug to duplicate items/coins in the newly-recoded trade system. It's true that given some time, this update could have a large impact(Whether good or bad) on the game in the way that Jagex presents future updates. But by the whole, with the whole extreme/ovl thing, i think it'll devalue them. A small portion of rich players will make them for EXP and sell them at low prices, and the rest who just want the level to use them would just buy the potions to save time. Thus devaluing what little amount of necessary DIY'ing is required for your every-day high level scaper' by devaluing the potions themselves.
  24. I'd say get the zamorak book while it's still cheap(Hey, 20M is better then 25M). On another note, don't you actually have to complete the first 3 god books before you can start the other 3? Or was that changed?
