To be 90% sure you get a +6 bonus you'd need to go through 287 stews. Or just get it right the first time. :D It doesn't work like that, my friend. There's a percentage chance of which boost you get. +6 are very rare, +5 are a lot more common. He be trollin' But yeah, I'd suggest Extremes, then turmoil, then later overloads. And when you get ovls, get 92 herblore. I have 87 herblore, and i've been trying to get a +5 boost for the seer's elite diary. And even that has been nightmareish(Have gone though 20 brown spiceshakers already). I can't imagine what trying to get a +6 boost is like. But you should at least become a decent account first... Get the necessities like barrows gloves, and a decent amount of quests done. It may not seem like it but quests can really teach you a lot about how the game's mechanics work.

The ones in the bar are a higher level (74 i think?) then the ones outside the bar. I believe the ones outside are only around level 50-ish. So, your options are to either use one of the spots outside the bar, or pick a spot inside the bar where only a maximum of two can attack you at a time. There are a few spots, you just need to keep trying different nooks and crannies until you find the right ones.

You can still mine stars, though you will only get the experience for it. Not any more stardust.
-
You can destroy it and mine another 200 when you come across a star, or you can just save it in your bank and turn it in at the next star you see.

If i buy 1 month with paypal does it ADD the days or reset them?
HexiledRazz replied to jjjon123's topic in Help and Advice
I'm pretty sure that it'll just add the 31 days to an invisible *quota* that gets added to your current membership when it reaches 3 - 1 days. That's just my guess though, i've never paid via paypal. -
This. Suck it up and move on. You didn't have a bank pin, so you face the consequences. Plus there is no way you can legally get revenge on someone if you know their IP.

No need to think about it. A quick trip to the Tip.it items database clearly puts the stats in the SS's favor. The loss of a 13 strength bonus doesn't justify the gain of 9 slash bonus. And the defensive bonuses are irrelevant if he has some method of healing. That's irrelevant considering you would be killing the bandits faster then their spawn rate. And if you even have a rapier, it's strictly up to you if you want to use it for training or not based on your current wealth. However, that still doesn't change the fact that it is the best weapon to train with. A fighter torso would be better if you have it. And you can wield God arrows regardless of your range level. And Dragon legs/Dragon skirt, either one is fine. I only said skirt simply because i was under the assumption that you didn't have either, and the skirt was the cheaper option. Oh, and Zerker helms shouldn't be considered after 55 defense and being able to wear a Neit helm. As they're cheaper, and have sheer better stats then the zerker. Other then that, you should be good to go. Of course there are better places to train as others have said, but if bandits are the way you want to go then go for it.

Bad idea. Prayer experience isn't boosted. OT: Yeah, i'd say train herblore as it's one of the most useful/expensive/quickest to train. It's what I'm doing. It's be nice to leave yourself a cushion of money though.
-
God arrows work the best. As they still make the bandits aggressive, and you don't need to swap out useful armor for a god version with less stats. Ideally, a Chaotic rapier would be best for training. After that is a Sara sword, then Korasi's with a ddef, and lastly a d scimmy with a ddef. And you shouldn't need armor like barrows to train there; they're not a very high level. So, rune(And maybe a d skirt since their prices are so low for an extra ~20 defense) should suffice if you have set of guthan's to put on temporarily for healing, or better yet an EE/EEE or bunyip. If you don't have any of those, bring a stack of around 100k and noted food to sell to the shop there and buy back in an unnoted form. This also works with potions, mind you. And can really help training for long periods of time. Other then that, basic armor choices should be obvious. Be sure to pick up a berserker ring if you have the money and don't already have one. As the extra 4 strength bonus adding to every hit really adds up in the long run.

My general consensus on topics like "Should i sell my..."(Bandos, DFS, ect) is that if you're even considering selling them, you should. There are a lot of things that could use that extra 20 - 40M before you invest it in higher-tier equipment. The more notable of these are: -85 all the way to 96 herblore -95 prayer -88 all the way to 96 summoning -Both a fury and Zerker ring(Preferably imbued if you're willing to spend the time) And even after those big levels, it still might be worth it to sell them for non-combat skills like levels for task diaries(Getting the requirements for EE or EEE for example). Then maybe after that it would be worth it buying higher-tier equipment. However, i would get claws first, then maybe bandos. DFS should come last if you even consider buying it at all. I had a DFS a while back and i really liked it because i would always range tank/melee hybrid in castlewars(One of my favorite activities). However i recently found much more use out of a BSS because i've been tribriding instead and it's a lot easier as far as switching goes.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
HexiledRazz replied to misterxman's topic in General Discussion
Dat follow up post. This sexy stuff happen today(Thanks to Dragonmount for letting me get 99 on him). And for a celibration i tagged along on a Bandos trip with Kandy and Avarice. I'm glad i did. The best part is that all my money is tied up in herblore supplies for BXPW. So i had to go in welfare gear. And since Kandy has CLS, claws, and OVLS, he was obviously getting all of the kills over me and Avarice. The VERY FIRST kill i got, was this. Rofl. Only got 4 more the entire trip. We agreed to split any drops 40/30/30, so all of us made a decent amount that trip. Also one of my friends who owe me 14M gave me 5M of it, so that added to my wealth. 99 attack, and went from a 500k bank to a 22M in one day. Most likely the most productive day i've ever had :shades: -
Best thing to invest money in before leaving
HexiledRazz replied to c_o_w's topic in Help and Advice
Actually i think the Statuettes are still around as drops from revs, but much more rare so they don't have a big impact on the economy. OT: I think you should just keep your cash since you don't have enough for a rare. You could gamble with it and invest in raw materials like logs/ores/bars. But like i said, it's a gamble. They might go up, they might go down. -
How are you preparing for Bonus XP Weekend?
HexiledRazz replied to Da2Shae's topic in General Discussion
I've bought the herbs and have made about 3000 irit potions, and 9000 avantoe potions. Combined with around 1500 pap fruit for when i hit 84, this should get me about 85 herblore. Had to sell my claws and spend about 50M on the materials, but i should net back around 30M when i sell the potions i make. I'm a bit worried that I'm miscalculating how fast my bonus will drain, but if worse comes to worse and i run out of ingredients at 82-83 herblore, i'll just go though the trouble of getting assists for a few of my many effigies, and dump them into herblore. And i might do some wfs since I'm down to a 700k bank, and would like to train as much summoning as possible for the 10% bonus once i completely drain my initial bonus. This, however all hinges on if my potions that i make will sell for a decent price. They can be used in the higher-tier potions that require an already-made potion, so I'm hoping people who are making those will buy them during the weekend... -
If you could vote again, what would you vote?
HexiledRazz replied to Miner_Guy's topic in General Discussion
While the return of FT/Old/new wild has it's faults and benefits, ultimately i still support my decision to vote yes. Just walking through the GE, seeing all the trust game and scammers, it gives me a taste of what RuneScape was like four years ago. The new sense of danger lurking around every corner just gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside(lol). It's a taste of the game i got addicted to years ago. Call me crazy, because you're most likely right. I remember seeing the original posts on RSOF about how RuneScape has lost it's sense of "danger" and at the time i didn't really agree because i liked the new "safe" theme to the game. Since dying and losing ANYTHING is something i dreaded. I wouldn't even dare to take over 1M outside of the bank for fear of dying. But now that "risk" and PvP is slowly becoming the main thing that is keeping me interested in this game, i forgot how much i missed the old RS. And i welcome anything that brings similarity to it with open arms. However, i won't [bleep] about it not being right/ect like a lot of the average players will(Let's face it, 90% of RuneScape's community is composed of chronic complainers. Weather they complain about one update or another, they always will complain about something). Sure these scammers may prey on low levels that are fresh to the game, and i'm not trying to justify that at all. But there is one important thing you need to learn about playing games. There are two ways you learn to play them: Either scanning though a player's guide to prepare yourself, or playing through and learning everything the hard way. This can be applied to RuneScape in the fact that you either take precautions, or learn to avoid scamming/luring the hard way. I was the latter, i got scammed for 100 GP by someone offering me to sell me "armor"(Which was goblin mail). And the kicker is, that i knew that you couldn't wear it. I got one as a drop and tried to put it on, but it i got the message "This armor is too small to fit a human". But i still though, "Maybe this one is different. After all, there's no way this guy would rip me off, right? He helped me get out of the Draynor Manor." I was wrong. And another time after that where i lost my full iron in the wilderness. But i wasn't lured, it was due to my own ignorance. And the last time i was scammed was a little bit into my RuneScape career. I could wield rune and i believe i owned a Rune battle axe at the time. Most likely around 50 combat. I was spending around 200k(My complete savings at the time) on big bones to train prayer. But, i fell for the old noted icon similarities scam and bought a load of normal bones. After that, i was never scammed, lured, or hacked once. And that was at least 3 years ago. What I'm getting at is: It's better to learn early and be cautious. I would have much rather have been scammed that early, and learn from it, then be completely safe and suddenly there's all these "trust games" and such to test my temptation. I really wish there was a better way for new players to be educated, but sometimes they just have to learn the hard way. And sure the bots suck. But i think that's why we need to train are skills to a decent level and start using content that is unlocked through quests/ect that bots normally won't access. But honestly, i do too feel kinda betrayed with the whole "We'll be able to control bots this time, we promise! Lolololol" thing too. Bots are ultimately unavoidable, but Jamflex made it seem like they developed a new type of detection system that would put a sever stamp on them keeping them to a minimum. -
Go ahead and sell it. That money could go to much better uses such as summoning/95 prayer.

What is the point of a "pure" character?
HexiledRazz replied to Gato_del_agua's topic in Help and Advice
A maxed runite pure can be around 110 combat and have straight 99s across the combat board(Except for defense, which would be 40) paired with 95 prayer. That's a 16 combat level difference from main accounts with similar offensive stats. That can really be worth it when you train your account specifically for combat. And if you train your account that high, you really have to have PvP in mind. So i think you would be decent enough to beat most mains at that combat level. But other then that, in a nutshell, you're correct. But remember, a combat pure could skill just as easily as a main in almost every skill. Why you would choose to get 99 in a skill on a combat pure over your main though, is up to question. I made my Zerker pure(limits defense to 45) just because i was bored, and i wanted to start a new account to make members and quest on and such. I had done it previously on a non-pure account where i trained it from level 3 - 100 in a members' world, but i stopped after said 100 combat and enough money to buy a d plate. I never PK'ed so i didn't create him for PvP, i just wanted to add a new spin on training. After creating my Zerker, i planned out my quests so the defense exp for the quests i wanted wouldn't make me go over 45 defense, and before i knew it, i was hooked. Now a year and a half later, he's nearing 90 strength. Sure he could be maxed by now, but i've just been enjoying wasting time on him. Such as going to safe PvP activities/ect. I really suggest trying making some sort of new account and training it up through members' if you're bored of the game. It adds a whole new level to doing things like quests/training/ect. But i suggest making a runite pure/zerker/tank if you want to do quests. Because 1 def pures don't do too many of them. -
If you're worried about repairing pouches, you don't actually need to have to have the pouches with you to repair them. You can just go to the mage wearing nothing and talk to him, and he'll repair them even if they're in your bank.

Stay at 60. I'm not afraid of Godswords at ALL in the wild. While i have to really concentrate on my eating if i want to avoid a claw spec. If you want to put the time and effort into a Rapier, get 80.

999134thpure, a blog
HexiledRazz replied to 999134's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
I got that from the wiki. I just checked the KB and I was wrong. It says 80 str for all 3 pieces. My apologies for misleading. Knowledge Base Link The problem is that both the official KB and Runewiki are shaky sources for information. You might want to find something to confirm with proof before ruling it out. -
quack quack MUNCH Indeed. I never get very far with Pringles in my mouth. Especially if they're salt and vinegar =P~

I can't remember the last time i've seen an image so breathtaking O.O Edit: EPIC GOATEEAGE. Set as Picture A please? ^.^ I've slowly realized that my DSi is the only thing i have left to take pictures with. My digital camera bit the dust, and my cellphone's picture quality is even worse then my DSi's... Meh. I'm getting my iPhone for my birthday next month so my picture problems will be over by then Xp And as a bonus, too much fun with Pringles.

Yeah, the problem is the same on multiple accounts. I downloaded Safari, and the problem is non-existent on this browser. So it's the only one i can really use atm. Also, it actually happen with the RuneScape client today. Nothing in the game screen was clickable. Also the minimize/task bar/close buttons didn't work either. Though i fixed it though the usual means pressing control+alt+delete, then canceling, and it went away and didn't happen again. I really am clueless as to what is causing this... Perhaps it could be a virus of some sort? My computer always is pretty clean of them though...

I thought it was my mouse for a while, but i snagged my dad's mouse to try it... And i thought the problem was solved for a while, but as i was posting this problem solved post, it started doing it again  I don't think lag is a problem... Because ironically, other then the problem i'm getting my computer is going as fast as a lightning bolt. Compared to the usual slow-as-hell-ness. I'll try a system restore.... Maybe that'll work. EDIT: Did a system restore to yesterday, when the problem was non-existent. Tired to load up firefox, and got a crash message as soon as i clicked on my desktop shortcut. Tried again, same crash message. So i uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, and i still get the problem. Any other ideas? I'm getting severely pissed off at this problem.

This weird problem just started happening with Mozilla about an hour ago. Every time i load a new page/open a new tab, all buttons/tabs/links on Mozilla's interface become unclickable. Additionally, all the links/buttons on any pages that i have open or tabbed become unclickable as well. The only way i seem to be able to "refresh" it and make them clickable again, is pressing control+alt+delete and bringing up the windows security window(I use windows XP Pro and the older interface. You know, the one where it brings up a window instead of the task manager when you press control+alt+delete? Don't know the technical name for it). And pressing cancel on that window. Then the problem is fixed until i click a link/go to another tab. Anyway, i've already restart my computer, and uninstalled and reinstalled Mozilla. Right now I'm going to try another browser to see if it does the same thing. In the meantime, anyone have any advice on how to fix this? Or what might be causing the problem? EDIT: IE works fine and doesn't have the problem. Atm I'm downloading Google Chrome to see if that works. If it does, I'm going to use it as my main browser temporarily until i find out a solution here. Addition edit: When i downloaded Chrome, i couldn't open the settings tab. Also, every time i clicked the back button, it opened in a new tab. And when i clicked on that tab, it closed itself. Could something be wrong with my mouse? I'm clearly at a loss to what the problem is here.

I honestly thought that free trade would make me play more. I thought that 11' was going to be a big year for me. I was going to consider getting 92+ herblore and 80 dungoneering and a rapier. But... The laptop i play on died. And the only thing left for me to play on is my ancient desktop. And i realized that all i was really doing with that laptop was AFK grinding 99 combats while doing other things that i actually did enjoy on my desktop like watching anime/ect. That's when it hit me: I don't... Enjoy playing this game anymore. The only thing i've been doing is AFKing skills for the past few months. Sure i could finish grinding out 99 attack and strength, but what is the point? I've gone 5 years playing this game without a single 99, and now that i've gotten two within a month and more just keep falling out of my ass, it just seems really... Pointless. And my money goals like chinning 99 range and getting high herblore seem so far away because I'm forever bound to honest ways of making money. I don't wish to merch or gamble with the wild or staking. The same reason you're quitting. And when others can make their money so easily by getting good dice rolls/having some friend that quit give them their bank/getting lucky and smiting out a valuable item/flipping and making absurd amounts then what's the point for me with my kind of play style? Currently I'm only logging in once every week to keep MTK updated. I might decide to start playing again, i might not. I don't fully know at this point. I think i just might finish getting 99 attack and strength, and wait for a good update to catch my attention.
