It's true that a CR is better then a CLS in almost every aspect. Especially now because of damage soaking. As hits that are low, fast, and consistent are desired for PvP. But, people are forgetting that... It's... a... game... An MMO none the less. Where people can make their own choices, and do what they want. So what's keeping someone who wants a CLS from getting a CLS? People telling them that they're a noob for wanting so and should get the CR because it's better. It's best for people to know exactly what is best for what, but still choose what they want to. And not be prosecuted for it. But, if course, this is the internet. And that will never happen. So we're stuck with this same futile struggle we've had time and time again for countless other items.

So Zamorak works for Turmoil? I thought the Runescape wiki page about Zamorak halo was outdated. Because Guthix halo had same content not so long ago. Are you 100% sure? I'm sure Zammy halo works for Turmoil. I've been using it at armored zombies constantly for 93 - 99 defense. My prayer wouldn't have lasted as long without it. Plus i tested it myself a few days after it came out anyway.
-
Why does Runescape wiki state that halos don't work with ancient prayers (http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Guthix_halo), and that a Mod has confirmed this. And why does Runescape knowledgebase not mention that halo works with ancient prayers? Wow; never payed attention to the full page of all 3 different Halos. All of them say different things. Zammy halo page states that it does effect curses, but doesn't put the note that it was confirmed by a J mod. Sara halo page states that it does effect curses, but on this page it puts the confirmation note. And on the Guth Halo page, it says that it does not effect curses, and also has been confirmed by a J mod. Could all 3 of the Halos be different? I doubt it... I clam false information. Meh, so the rumors about rune wiki are true. I guess I'll do some research myself with all 3 halos...

All of the god halos will help with all sap and leech curses. Along with Turmoil, Piety, and Chivalry regardless of what god halo it is. And i believe it was officially confirmed by a J mod.

I just beat Nomad a few days ago, and i found curses extremely useful. But, that's because i was using leech defense. Which is amazing against him. Since you don't have 80 prayer, i would say go for the prayers. I think the boost would be better for your levels.

I think it references the right-click menu changes when looting items or right clicking large stacks of items/players. A lot of players didn't like this update, as it causes more problems then it fixes. Actually... I don't think it fixed any problems. When right-clicking large stacks of different items or players, a second box will pop up next to the option your cursor is hovering over, displaying all the options related to that item. Example: For a log, the choices in the extra box would be: Light, Take, Examine.

Plate prevents damage sometimes from most types. While the hood will prevent most enemies from even attacking you in the first place. I don't think that the SSH would be as used as it is unless it was actually useful.

Wilderness and free trade vote! - Now Closed
HexiledRazz replied to Jimmyw3000's topic in General Discussion
Wow... I really hope this passes. But then again, it'll ruin a lot of stuff if it's on every world like it was. I train at armored zombies, and i would hate to lose d boots + whip + other stuff every other trip i make there... Meh. I hope they tweak it. Maybe making the chaos altar a safe zone, and adding a bank to clan wars. And then adding a safe way to get from there to the chaos altar. Like a cart ride or something. And also there's slaying dragons in the chaos tunnels. Or rather, killing anything in the chaos tunnels is gonna' be a hassle if it's on every world. So, i voted for all of the accounts i have. I really hope they make some tweaks though, to keep what's safe now, still safe. PS: The GE is flooded with people protesting to vote. AND there's 105 people reading this topic O.O I think it'll get passed... -
I agree. I sold my bandos + DFS for Turmoil, and even though i loved both of them, it was one of the best choices i made. But, if getting turmoil/extremes is out of the question, then it really depends on what you do the most. Boss hunt/safe pvp/slayer/ect. My personal opinion would be claws.

Alright, i guess I'll keep a hold of it now. Having a slayer pet would be nice <3: Thanks guys!

Just finished Nomad's requiem a few days ago, and I'm kinda stumped on what to spend my Zeal on. Since SW is so over riden with bots i don't even play the game anymore. So i'm not going to bother getting 100 for the bonus exp. I already have 95 prayer, and don't plan to raise that any higher in the foreseeable future. So that rules out prayer EXP. I don't want to spend it on any easy-to-train combat stats. As I'm already working on maxing those out normally. The only real candidates are Constitution since i really want 99. Charms, as I'd like to get 88 summoning sometime soon(If i did decide on charms, which ones should i get?). Slayer because i really prefer AFK methods of training combat, but still want 75 for the rings/slayer master. And maybe magic as i don't think I'll enjoy getting that to 99... thanks in advance!

No, bandos is not better then both. Bandos, is in fact, a worse chose, the either of the said options. Plus is expensive and the average slayer doesn't have it. Stop being ignorant. OT: The general accepted setup is V skirt and prossy plate. With a soulwars cape, if you have it. If the extra prayer is overkill, just use a fire cape. That will bring your defense bonus well over 200. Which is plenty for slaying. If you're taking too much damage at that defense bonus, you should be praying on the task. And remember, soulsplit is your food.

Only play BA if you enjoy it, or if you personally want the rewards and think they're worth it. Never force yourself to play a minigame you don't want to. If you're asking if it's efficient time wise to play for these items, then, no.
-
What is this? I don't even... *ehem* Of course. If you want to play again. With high combat stats, regaining wealth is extremely easy. I don't know if by "no quest items and no achievement diary items" if you mean you just don't have the rewards, or you don't even have them finished. If it's the earlier, diary items and quest items can easily be obtained back from the NPCs for respective quests and diaries(Or, "tasks" now).

That's over 150k profit for 5 minutes of work every hour and a half. I do farming runs all the time without juju potions or a scroll of life. By your logic, a better method then that would have to earn 150k or more per 5 minutes, or, 4.5M an hour. Stop being ignorant. OT: Just plant Ranarr or Avantoe in all 4(5 if you've done My Arm's Adventure), and come back after every task(or two) and pick them. Quick and easy bonus cash. And can also easily pay for most if not all of the costs of cannoning/pietying/turmoiling tasks.

Congrats Quyneax! A well deserved promotion. A very frequent poster in H&A, where i spend a lot of my forum time. -
For FoG, just standing in the center and tanking in F2P is really the easiest and best way to get tokens. Most other players do the same, and if they don't, bind spells and maple shortbows are your friend. Even though your stats aren't that high, you should still win the majority of your games. As most people in F2P FoG don't know what they're doing/or are just low levels training mage. If you run into someone who is clearly going to beat you, don't draw out the fight. Quicker fights means faster tokens. If you're losing a match, the best thing to do is quickly end it to get on to your next fight(Though don't forfeit because that nerfs your tokens for your next game).

Hearing his attacks is critical until you see him. I've died the first few times i've tried him because my mind is just a jumble when he spawns. And I'm not able to switch prayers right according to the sound. Remember: Keep range prayer on, and if you hear the retribution sound, turn on mage prayer. As soon as you see the blue shield pop up on you, switch back to range prayer. The key is to stay calm and not get the retribution sound mixed up with the explosion(Or actually i think they changed it to a gravel-ish sound now) sound that the rock from the range attack makes. I made this mistake and it is still what keeps me from getting the cape. Good luck to the both of us. I'll be attempting for my cape again later this week.

Yeah, they retain their bonuses. Why wouldn't they? An easy way to combat this is a add a defense level requirement on the gloves. The minimal level that the EXP from the quests get you, that could be the requirement. So, for example, rune gloves would have a 13 defense requirement, and barrow gloves a level(34 i think?) requirement. Same for turmoil. Piety has a defense requirement. Why not turmoil? But, that's kinda aside of the point anyway. They shouldn't be able to get these items in the first place. Jagex needs to go back to perm banning bots. Of if the absolutely NEED to just reset their stats, reset their quests, and quest items too. Preferably cash also.

We don't need higher levels to make RuneScape even more of a grindfest then it already is. And plus. An extra 21 levels in all combat stats would be too overpowered for only 1200 lifepoints. Not to mention that skilling levels beyond level 99 would bring about even more powerful content. Further perverting the already corrupt combat triangle we have. With that being said, we don't need higher levels. We need new content promoting the equal skilling of levels. Meaning special, non-tradable items that are made with more then one skill. Say there's a leather body you want to train range with. But, the body is untradeable, unassistable, and requires a certain crafting level to make. The body does not only require dragonhide, but also some Adamant bars, gems, and runes for a magical enchantment. The item would not only need a crafting level to make, but also a smithing level and magic level. And since it's untradeable, and has special effects, it promotes the player to evenly raise his/her skills instead of just going for one skill to make a single type of item. So, there are much more practical approaches for jagex to make new content, other then blatantly raising all of the level caps to 120. Although, then again... It doesn't seem that jagex are the people to take a practical approach to... Anything. But i do hope to see some sort of untradeable content introduced into the game, starting at low levels, and progressing to higher levels. Before they introduce increased level caps. Some day though, i would like to see higher level caps.

Meh. Yeah, i knew this all along. As it's only happening to people that are botting/have botted. There's a youtuber(Won't mention the name) that created a range tank, and botted 90% of his stats over the course of 3 - 4 months. And all he really got was a slap on the wrist. He got his 99 mage reset down to 5, 99 range down to 91, and 99 hunting to 98. Only 100k exp from 99. Which he botted the entire skill up from level 1, i believe. And he got it back up to 99, and now has both a trimmed and untrimmed hunting cape. Tbh, this is devaluing the work it takes to make an awesome tank/pure. As most people don't bot on their main, but on a second account. And since they didn't put any work into it, they could care less if it's stats get reset. If Jamflex absolutely NEEDS to do this, they should at least wipe EVERY LAST STAT to level 1. Same thing for quests, reset all of them. And on top of that, their bank should be wiped of any quest items, and 99 capes/other achievement items. But, you know. It should just be perm bans as it was in the first place.

I've finally decided to make it my goal to have 80 dungoneering and a Rapier by the end of the year. But, one thing that has kept me far away from DG'ing is the time it takes to get a group. But other then that, i really enjoy doing it with a group. But I'm having people tell me that i should solo till 70/71 before i start doing groups. Is this true? And if so, should i just c1 rush all of my lowest floors, and just c6 med my highest 5? Is there any easier way to find groups other then W117? I went there for about 15 minutes today and it was a nightmare. I find i have the best time doing groups with people from the hyt chat and tip.it. So if there's any thread for finding dg buddies on here, a link would be nice. Also, i've been wondering of there's some sort of average EXP calculator for dungeon floors that factors in complexity/team size/dungeon size/ect. As i kinda would like to know what exp i should expect for each floor. Is there such a calculator? Lastly, i've been hybriding a lot as a safe PvP activity. Should i take a side route and get a stream before my rapier? About how long will it take to get the extra 30k tokens once I'm around 80 dungoneering?

If buy PID, you mean personal IP, Jagex changed it so who picks up the flag isn't based on IP priority anymore. OT: I have about 450 tickets myself, and that came from a long 5 years of playing the minigame off and on. When i was a real low level, i would play Castle Wars game after game again for hours. Now i play a lot more casually. Maybe 3 - 4 times a week. So, it's going to take a while to get that many tickets. My advice would be to go on the RSOF and find a pro team. You should be accepted pretty easily since you're nearly maxed. But they also look for pro gear(Armadyl/divine/arcane).
-
Mhm, it was implemented with the Castle wars update a few months ago. I'm surprised that Jagex didn't make a bigger deal about it. Instead it was just a small little footnote at the bottom of the page. Because of that, I'm sure few people know about it.

It took me 15 mins to get that one kill though, so i can't imagine how long it took for other people... Another poorly implemented update on Jagex's part. For some reason, they make no attempts at crowd control... *sigh* But still, i got my ddef that I've been looking forward to ever since it was mentioned. So i can't really complain...
