Perfect stats are nice and look pretty, but they matter little when it comes down to a death match. Just stay 46. I even think that a maxed zerker can get up to 48 defense without leveling their combat any further. So you're safe if that's what your worried about. And for that occasional leadite that come along saying "L0L u wnt def ovr u faled z3rd3r!@!@!TROLOLOLOLOL"... Well, actually if i shouldn't have to offer any advice if they type like that...

Need a bit of help with a berserker pure
HexiledRazz replied to snowboarder's topic in Help and Advice
The only real thing Zerkers need to watch out in the Temple at Senntisten quest tree is Defender of Varrock. Which gives 10k def exp. Only thing besides that is to fully restore Senliten. If you're watching your prayer, Restoring Senliten gives some prayer exp. Though if you hope to eventually go for Turmoil, i don't see this as a problem. And some more advice: Get all of your defense exp through quests. It's good for getting quest points, and the small features that certain quests give can really make life easier(example: In Search of the Myreque, in Aid of the Myreque. Barrows shortcut and access to the Burgh de Rott bank) -
Don't go out of your way to make junk. Just let it accumulate naturally from training skills.

The percentage boost that show up on the stat screen stack, just as normal equipment boosts do. And on top of that, the effects of void mage are an invisible boost. So of course they would stack. And void mage is indeed useful. Even moreso if you have a deflector. Though it's normally overlooked and not used because it requires very select slots for the bonus to work. Which makes it hard to switch into/out of.

If you're so confident in your wealth, by all means, leave your herb patches alone. Whatever marginal increase in value herbs get for one less person doing herb runs every hour, I'll take. If you're looking for exp, stick to trees.

Actually, the only granite items that are better then their rune counter parts is the body and helm. Both the shield and leggings have worse over all stats. The only thing they have higher defense in is range. Which is hardly practical for training. So, as a general rule of thumb, stick with rune until you can use dragon. Although if you've completed some quests, the Berserker helm, or even better the Helm of Neitiznot(at 55 defense) are some of the most widely used helmets in the game. *Really wonders why people always use granite shields over rune kites for almost everything...*

I kinda think you already answered your own question. The mage arena cape would most likely be the best.

[hide=quote chain] hippie, reminds me of my old hair (page36-esque) If i straighten mine i could have challenged you in length XD [/hide] I'm sorry, are you a guy or a girl? Honest question or attempted trolling? >.> *ehem* The earlier option.

On a side note, if you have any good items like claws or an AGS, you can lend it out for 24H for a decent amount of junk. I managed to get rid of 1M of junk with a 24H claw lend. Though since prices have dropped since then, you might not get as much.

New floors look amazing, I'd really love to get my dungeoneering up, but solo'ing just won't cut it for me. And sitting around looking for a team who actually vaguely knows what to do is the last thing i want to do. Though the new floors really show how far Jagex has come just working with a Java based game. The look of the floors kinda reminds me of the Arcane Sanctuary and Hell from Diablo II for some reason =P

where is the best place to train firemaking?
HexiledRazz replied to edard's topic in Help and Advice
The variable is that you can't light a fire inside most banks, so you want a place where you can bank outdoors and minimize running. Oo'glog is pretty good in that respect...it has a few lines and you can light fires in the same square that you bank from. GE is good too, as is the Rogue's Den. Though the advantage of Varrock is that you can tele from the west bank, to the center near the fountain, two steps and start burning. By the time you're out of logs, you're standing next to the bank again. This personally is my favorite spot. I got 70 - 75 here. And if i ever get any higher, I'll do it here also. -
It's best just to look up a guide for it. *cough*i think runewiki has one*cough*. You can reset the puzzle by talking to the bird. But if you choose to figure it out, then i guess you're on your own.

While the situation doesn't apply very well in FoG, it doesn't avoid the fact that the OP has a point: Melee is the dominate combat type. And it will always be if the combat system doesn't get a serious overhall. Just adding new range/mage/melee weapons won't balance it. Melee has TWO skills to customize it's effects. Whilst both range and mage only have one. FoG is more about maximizing your strength and dishing out as much damage as possible, as quickly as possible. Because your target's stats are nerfed, you don't need to worry about accuracy *as* much. While in F2P there's only addy arrows for range. But there are Gravite 2hs, and rune scimitars for melee.

I had numerous graphical lag problems while playing the game, including the one you have, occasionally. Though it didn't last nearly as long, only about 5 seconds. But i recognize it because when a monster spawned near me, it had the red health bar over it's head from when it had died. But, i solved it and more by just using the client instead. I tried every browser i could get my hands on, but none of them worked well.

I love zerkers to death. I think they're a great compromise between the lower end of the pure scale, and the higher end. But I'd slowly raise your pure's defense through quests, and see how much you like each class by PKing with it. If you can't be asked to do that, just go for a zerker. At the very least they won't disappoint ;) And i beg to differ on this. I raised a 40 def pure thoroughly through quests, and by the time i got done with all of the ones def exp required for RFD, Vengeance, and the hand cannon, i had already hit 40 defense. Had i done Defender of Varrock, it would have made me go over. And since the OP has stated that he like hybriding, so that rules out not doing Between a Rock, since it's needed to get the hand cannon. And that's pretty good for hybriding.

Of course RIGHT after i post this topic, i found the missing shrub -.- [hide]I'm at the part where you have to search for the trails on Karamja, and after uncovering about 2 extra sections of the trail, i can't uncover anymore. Everything i search from there on out gives me nothing. I even found a map of the trail, and the next thing it says to search, just tells me there's nothing there. I've even went so far as to check square by square, and still nothing[/hide] Anywho, if a mod could lock this. Thanks!

I've decided i want to start focusing on single combat skills and getting them up, instead of evenly raising them. I think the first ones I'm gonna go for are 99 range and defense. I just need a quick cost estimate on 99 range using red chins. I have 95 prayer, 90 range, full void and a deflector. Oh, and I'm working on 70 crafting so i can get Elite void too. Now, I'm a bit short on cash at the moment, only got around 4M. So, I'm going to rely on dailies and MTK to get me to around 30-ish mill within a month. In the mean time, I'm going to be grinding away armored zombies to work on defense, and maybe even get 99 before range if i do enough. And my last question, should 99 defense + 99 range get my 99 constitution? (Click on Razz-kun over der <- for stats) Thanks ^.^

Same =\ It would be nice to go back to being a level 3, without knowing ANYTHING about the game. Just wanting to explore and have fun. But then again, i kinda wish i could go back to the time where i ran like a robot, didn't hold my sword like a idiot, and my max hit was 25(Maybe 3ish years ago?). But still knowing what i know now. I could make all sorts of epic investments >:3 But, instead of looking what i want to go back to, I'll go OT and look at what i want to bring back... Actually, i want to somehow create and place a tactical nuke right in the middle of the GE, blowing it from all existence. I miss standing in W2 fally park for hours on end >:|

Yep, 70 defense is your next best alternative.

It's been proven that rushing never gets you as many kills/as much profit as honest death matches. Unless you get extremely lucky and manage to get more then two successful rushes per hour. But in the beginning, PvP isn't really for profit, more for fun. You'd be better off bossing for cash.

Well you're really going for strength bonus for KO weapons, so a DBA would top both of them. But if you had to pick between those two, the d long would be the better chose. I'd pick the scimitar over the longsword. It's hard to keep up with a chain of 250+s (I think it hits up to 300) from a scimitar in F2P. He's talking about K0s though. And it really depends on the defense of your opponent. If it's 1 def pures vs 1 def pures, then yeah it might be worth it. But if you're facing something with 60+ defense, those chains you're taking about can be pretty easily broken and thus giving them a free heal in, and a chance to turn the fight around on you. Plus it would be pretty taxing on the weapon's timer if you use it for half of the fight =\

Wooh, that's A LOT longer then i expected. Thanks guys, guess I'll pick one up since i've been enjoying F2P no-arming so much recently ^.^
