:) That's beautiful Sere. Best of things for both of you Actually, that post made me feel a little better. I came on here to [bleep] and moan about how I'm going through another "I hate women" phase. Which in turn is not good because I have a date tommorow. With a chick I couldn't care any less about. Who I'm probably going to hook up with. I'm probably going to seduce her [she's REALLY into me]. And then I'll end up hating myself for it. And her. And women and general. Because al women are either way too boring and uninteresting, or disgusting. Which is a shame because some of those boring chicks, I get along with just fine...but they're so...not my type. Which I've now taken to mean that my "type" is the disgusitng bimbo-[bleep]-type. And that's not making me feel too good about myself. No offence to the female posters on the thread, but I seriously just can't stand women anymore. They just make me want to hate everything.

...so...are there any movies that you enjoy? [also, going back to the star wars debate, Ep3 was rated PG13, so it was exempt from my point. The fact that Ep1 was the worst of the 6 is irrelevant]

Just saw it. Best sequel ever created. Ever. I cried basically through the whole movie, I'm not gonna lie. If you don't see this film, you're culturally challenged.

Yeah I mean its nothing worth writing home about. I think the only reason for making it is to have a fun experiment with transforming a cartoon into live action. Also I mean come on, it is a PG movie. What PG live-action movie has ever been good? I think the acting needed to be purposely dumbed down so that the pre-teen audience could still be entertained. And I didn't see it n 3D...I dont see anything in 3D. I think its completely ridiculous how much of a fad the whole 3D thing has become. 3D has been around for forever, in places like Disney world. Now all of a sudden people want to apply it to feature length movies...I really dont understand. Its just some silly gimmick or something. Yeah I had her watch the first episode when we got home and she enjoyed it. Maybe the movie is a marketing tool for encouraging people to watch the cartoon Oh, and I thought that the last 30-40 minutes of the movie was far better than the first hour. Allow me to jump into this thread for a second to point out that 5/6ths of Star Wars is rated PG, and is an amazing movie. You may now continue to be on topic. As you were, gentlemen.

Just started my list :D can't say when it'll be done though. I just spent 2 hours and I've only finished 6 of the however many albums I'm putting up on the list. This is fun though :D

Casting looks horrible, and the fact that Shamallamadingdong is directing it, makes me nervous. But the special effects look gorgeous, so I will defniatly be seeing it in 3-D. The TV show was incredible.

Obviously they're not going to sound exactly the same [not every band is going to sound the same despite bands like Good Charlette, Simple Plan, Zebrahead and Sum 41]. There's also the element taht I'm terrible at thkning of examples. but conceptually, Linkin Park and Hollywood Undead have a lot in common. Metal influences, yelling [almost screaming] vocals scattered among rapped verses, with light harmonization and contrast in the two vocal styles. Linkin Park also usees non-traditional metal instruments such as the piano, a violin, and even some sort of fife type thing in one song. Papa Roach is a little more on the metal side of this equation. P.O.D. also has a metal-type influence, more leaning towards the side of alternative, but also features some fast, rap like qualities and a lot of vamping. Stone Sour is like diet Slipknot [sharing a vocalist and former bass player, RIP Paul]. Early Slipknot had some very heavy instruments, alot of layering [even two percussion players!] but fgeatured some songs that had an almost rap quality to it. Stone Sour takes that quality, but takes away the heavy instruments, to be replaced with a more contemporary set up. Much softer songs that very well could have been Slipknot, were then released [ie. 'Through the Glass' , '30-30/150']. Point being, Hollywood Undead takes a lot from slipknot, not just the image. As for Skillet...I don't listen to them enough to really defend that point. The interenet picked that one for me.

Because I'm feeling indifference on the subjct matter of at any time getting with her, I'm going with no. If it does end up happening, let the record show it was never planned for.

They're nU-metal with an MC, and a piano background. It's a stem from the classic "rapcore" genre of the '98-'02 region. Similarity can be found in bands like Papa Roach, P.O.D., and even Linkin Park. If you get rid of the more orchestrated parts, they even sound a little like Stone Sour at times. using the power of the internet, it is suggested that they also sound like Skillet. My point is, its a less than metal instrument, a rapper, and a yelling guy that has the capacity to harmonize. Classic Nu-Metal. Not bad, just not revolutionary in any way, and without a major forgotten hit.

And yes, within the 6 or so hours I was talking to her, I learned alot about her life. Everything from divorced parents to highly abusive boyfriend. And then some. Theres no doubt in my mindshe actually has all of these issues. Which is a shame, cause she's a really nice person underneath the disorder. I want to help her...I just don't want her to think that my constant presense in her life is my way of hitting on her.

so... girl's got some issues. ex-anorexic. horrible history with guys. 5'6", 95 - 120 pounds, and convinced she's fat and ugly. She's not too bad looking in reality. is there a way to restore her confidense and self worth without making it seem like I'm coming on to her? I see people at Hot Topic wearing shirts for them and I have a lot of friends who enjoy them. They are fairly popular. I've heard of Nile. Instrumetlaly, they're wonderful, but they're vocalist is god awful. The drumming in some of their songs...<3: and I'm pretty into We Are Scientists. I think people are confusing "underrated" with "unpopular". POD was underrated. 2 massive hits (youth of the nation, and Alive) and barely any credit. What on gods green earth did Hollywood Undead [as a recent example with a representative counter opinion] do taht was so underrated? Honestly, they sound like a lot of other bands, the masquerade theme is a complete rip-off slipknot, and they're anything but revolutionary. And what massive hits have they had that went rather underappreciated? More like hits they had went unnoticed. [don't get me wrong, i do like Hollywood Undead, but with a willing participant to defend them, I'd like to argue this case]

so...where do you guys stand on the whole Nu-Metal debate? Personally, I love it, but seeing as how most of you like the sound of quadrouple bass pounding and pigs dying, I don't think you'll appreciate the whole branch of metal, and/or Rapcore.

romy...if you can remember it, break out the story I've been spewing onto this thread for almost 4 years now. If that story isn't enough insentive that he should stay FAR away from this girl...there's no chance of talking sense into him. I live with my crap, but I pray no one has to live the way I do. I've inspired many of my friends to improve themselves from looking at my mistakes, and I do my best to show them how things turn out when [cabbage] hits the fan. I can say it from personal experience...but that's the only contribution I can give. bottom line: my adive for advice giving is relating it to yourself. then putting the situation in perspective. then mix up the roles of all involved so that all perspectives are acknowledged and sympthized for.

Although if you can accurately say how many standard drinks you've had then you're not drinking right. Or should be in Vegas counting cards. You Aussies have an insane system for alcohol content. In the states we have the "proof" system. while you guys are multiplying by .789 [wth kind of number is that anyway?] all we have to do is divide by 2. 30 proof Jack? that's 15% alcohol.

And there's no larger truth stated on this page than saying that I'll never be able to be in another relationship if I keep this kind of behavior up. And I do want a new relationship with another girl. So I will have to cut this kind of crap out. Besides that was the first time I'd so much as talked to her since we graduateed a few weeks ago. Once college classes start picking up, I'll have virtually no time to spare for her and our dead end relationship-like activities. So, while summer will be pretty rough, once the Fall rolls in, that whole chapter of my life will be coming to a conclusion, and then maybe I can find a girl my own age that I'm interested in [other than the aforementioned girl, who I am indeed over]

I have no drinking experience, but that happens to me with energy drinks. I'll have a good 3-4 full sized pisses out of every can of those. that doens't happen to me... However, Powerade on the other hand makes me pee like a race horse like 8 times a day after one glass.
