"Adult word" drama reminds me a lot of highschool drama. Except now, I DGAF. Interesting story. Let's start at the most outrageous part. I [bleep]ed my ex. Again. Yeah, the crazy one. [you can scold me later]* Anyway, funny thing is, she tells me almost right after "I am so getting broken up with over this". Turns out she went official with the guy she cheated on me with not even 24 hours ago. Honestly, B didn't know they were official. But now I feel like karma has really striken [cause he himself was banging his best friend's girlfriend all along]. So now everybodies screwed, in most cases literally. The bright side of all of this, is that he is taking all of the heat for it, and I walk away with out an ounce of bull [cabbage]. So basically I get "I miss you" sex, and a walk off. Sweet deal. *[no I have no intention of getting back togther with her, but free sex is better than no sex amirite?] Pschological stand point: She cheated on him because she doesn't want to be tied down in a relationship. She wants to just randomly date whoever whenever [which is what she's been telling me for the past near 4 years, so it's pretty legit]. I'm guessing she didn't telll me she was with him still ebcause she didn't think I'd do it if I knew, but i became her escape plan. She can't be in a relationship if she screws it up. So...now those two are off biting eachothers heads off over facebook, and I'm just chillin' in my basement. I like this new thing. Not giving a damn is the best decision i've ever made.

I wonder if twins get jealous of each other's bfs sometimes. I imagine it's worse in their adolescence when they're constantly faced with each other's lives, practically forcing comparison. When they grow up and away from each other its probably not a very big deal. But then, there's always sibling rivalries. And of course it's worse for identicle twins... For under $500, you're going to find it hard to get the required specs (except the not a mac one). Also, for under $500, you'd be hard pushed to find a dedicated graphics card, which semi-eliminates gaming (Integreated chips are powerful enough to run most games on low settings, some on medium). By multi-tasking, do you mean multiple internet browser instances with notepad, calculator and others, or do you mean intensive stuff like Photoshop etc. I guess you want the former, so you'll want a dual core. High speed RAM means that you will want DDR3, which in turn will require a faster processor (for instance, Intel i5 mobile processors can 'only' use 1066mhz RAM, whilst the quad core Intel mobile i7s can use 1333mhz RAM), and thus increases cost. For the price, the laptop you suggested looks decent, but it's not very powerful. Alright that's mildly helpful. I'm willing to give up the graphics on the more hardcore games if it means a smaller price tag. How much would a graphics card upgrade cost [estimated] and is it even worth it? as for multitasking? yes, I would like to be able to mess around in photoshop while downloading something and ordering pizza online :lol:

Yeah, I hate to admit it, but I know very little when it comes to hardware. I've always been a software guy. Excuses aside, my parents offered to buy my college laptop. Now, I don't want to be an ass and make them buy me some rediculously over priced paper weight. So - I've got one set up in mind, but I need TIF's opinion to confirm I'm getting what I want. What I want? -High multi-tasking capabilities -Not a Mac -Good size screen -internal wifi set up -numpad -capable of doing all things windows [like Word and Excell] -capable of PC gaming [everything from Oblivion IV to Doom II] -Lots of internal memory -high speed RAM is a great plus -under $500 -and yes I will probably be doing lots of torrenting and the potential candidate being: http://www.bestbuy.c...3&skuId=9700678 thoughts? opinions? input? This list gets my approval :thumbup: It's interesting how you have a majority metal theme, with some punk and even techno thrown in there. I'm the same way, but my metal bands are a littel less death core, and my punk is a little more ska. Stormtrooper is spot on though :P

@SilverSword while looking up The Ghost Inside, I came across this: which was surprisingly good imo. And I usually don't like the sinus-ridden screamers. As for The Ghost Inside? The instruments were spot on, but I couldn't get into the vocalist. Genghis Tron? I'm still enjoying them as I respond . Defniaitly more song searching to do with them EDIT: upon further research...A City Serene makes GORGEOUS sounds. I was also diggin' on Bring Me The Horizon's "Suicide Season"

Colbert had the best call on this issue. He had the quote from the spearhead-figure of "Kill Switch" saying, "China has the ability to shut off parts of its internet in case of emergency" To which Colbert said [and I paraphrase] "Is it over stepping our consitutional bounderies to take control of the internet? Well China did it! It must be okay!"

Even on a screamo thread I can't agree with anyone in MM&T I'm sure you've heard of metalcore, it's pretty much a combo of metal and hardcore punk and isn't really screamo, but I think it's something you would like. Oh, and here's a list of real screamo bands. oh blessed Metalcore <3: yeah, thats my primary genre by far, but the line between metalcore and post-hardcore gets rather scewed sometimes [even occasionally blending with screamo]

Thanks for dropping by Lent :) Jordan situation sucks. I'm not sure why you had to get dragged into it, other than being friends with Travis. You don't understand what she's doing, because she barely does. She made the choice to submit to her parents, and be miserable to appease them. You're telling her she's wrong to do so [she is] and she's paniking in fear of remorse/regret [which she already is]. She's suffereing heavily, but in her mind, theoretically not being around you, or any of her other previous peers will relieve the pressure to disobey her parents [whom she must love and trust ALOT].
