  1. Wow! I thought I was the only one! Just a few days ago I was telling my friend how im getting paranoid - I keep cleaning my friend list and ending up with more and more people who I have no idea are! So strange that this is happening all over Runescape and people are either not noticing, or thinking they are going crazy! In response to the question : If you are going crazy, then I am most certainly crazy too! (While we are ranting about the GE, more annoying is: 1. Running away from the booth EVERY TIME I click the X to close the bank or exchange screen. Its excruciatingly annoying! 2. The GE progress bar STILL doesnt work for me, staying clear always - making me guess if the item will sell or not immediately. Everytime you mention it somewhere, they always say : "its cuz u have to put it at low price or ppl nevr buy it" [/rant] )
  2. Yes, but it would be cool to have a baby King Black Dragon if you had 99 summoning. Indeed. A KING black dragon having an egg works nicely doesn't it? I want to see the charm reward for this stuff Who says its the KING that has to lay the egg? Mrs. KBD will lay the egg for us! Ever wonder what is down that trapdoor at the GE? - Mrs. King Black Dragon Of Course! :P
  3. I look people up occasionally, usually when: 1. Someone boasts a stat too good to be true, and I feel obligated to look them up and shout "Noob" a few dozen times, maybe rallying a little jeering from nearby onlookers. \ 2. Someone calls me "noob" or insults me. I have them looked up within 20 seconds for a quick reply with "Get some stats, then come talk to me" 3. I get a new level which crosses a level boundry, or I just feel like seeing how well im doing compared to friends. (I was joking about the Noob Jeering :D )
  4. Ever heard of the DDS? Dragon spear is lurers best friend, Dragon Mace can hit extremely high (albeit inaccurately) Dragon items still have their place in Runescape, although the higher levelled players may not appreciate them anymore. The mid section of runescape 60-100 however, is an avid dragon fan. Each Dragon weapon has its own use, you wont be able to find one which has no use at all! Either way, I think Jagex cannot just leave the Dragon series unfinished, the set should be completed and there should be a set effect for the entire armour worn. Pick should be next, then XBow, followed by the remaining D weapons.
  5. Thank god! I am not alone! *Raises hands to heaven* OT: Who says it needs to be a weapon? Guthix could have a new spell which would put him back on the map. One which lowers farming perhaps? Muhahahaha!
  6. noob = new player froob = f---ing rich new player choob = c--k hugging new player The Knowledge Base would disagree... : http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... le_id=2584 I personally believe "noob" or "nub" is nothing like new player, although it used to be. It now refers to someone immature, insulting, rude or nasty in their manner and attitude - Generally bad people. Newb is acceptable in our society, as you dont know any better!
  7. Ive always wondered.. how do you pronounce "mjolnir"? myeul-neer Aww, but I loved pronouncing it Ma-Jowl-Neer! This is just like the time i found it Mayan isnt pronounced Ma-yan. I still pronounce it like that though =D (I also pronounce noob "knob" and PKing "Piking", but dont tell anybody! )
  8. Thanks for the fast reply! After reading it I went ahead with my first ever Solo mage attempt! I got a Dragon Axe and a Warrior Ring! Total spoils were 2001k! Thanks again for the guide, ill be sure to start using this as my money making method!
  9. Great guide, thanks for making it! I have a question that always puzzled me though. Do you use mage protect prayer when soloing? (Rex) Some guides say you do, others dont, and yours doesnt seem to mention it. If you are meant to use mage protect, what is the problem with Prime getting on you, since you will be protected from his attacks anyway? Many thanks! -Chaz
  10. Kebbit [bleep]es + Granite Maul perhaps? Either way, I think a massive 2h rock would be good. It deflects a lot of attacks, and you can also smack your enemies on the head with it. Its the ultimate tanking weapon!
  11. They already have self-destruct weapons - They are called Red Chinchompas... Not sure if they support Guthix though, they are nature however so we can come to the conclusion: Guthix's awesome weapon to counter the godswords, are red chinchompas! How many people get 99 range from these beasts?! Id say guthix has blessed us enough already!
  12. Or Soulcalibur! OT: I think a defensive weapon would be great, something with a balance between attack and defence...
  13. It does sound like one of the enchant spells for jewellery or orbs... Enchant Ruby perhaps... Either way, Jagex does not steal sounds.
  14. Im glad I could help! 8-) Maybe I will help more people by changing the title... =/
  15. Obviously noone could buy out all the spears in runescape, only the ones currently being traded... I give my argument up! lol :wall:
  16. Well what about something hard to obtain, such as Guthan's spear? It has such a high value, it is not required to buy a huge amount, and could be bought out easily with a medium sized clan, even with a limit of 100. More than 100 would not be necessary (or possible unless extremely rich) and all sales raise the item value, which in essence is the point of the technique...
  17. Then I apologise, I have been in a few merch (not manipulation) clans, but have never heard of this.
  18. Well I had a theory on a way for a clan to manipulate an item, and I wanted to know whether or not you think it would work. Please note: I am not saying I am planning on using this technique, or advocating Price Manipulation, as I know the general negative attitude towards it. This is a discussion about whether or not it would work, not the moral implications thank you. [hide=Theory]Let me first start with how the clans operate as it stands: The clan leader or general says an item, and the entire clan rushes to buy the item at max price. Whoever gets the most are the luckiest, while everyone attempts to buy until the "dump" price where they sell the item. Now here is my theory: Imagine if a clan chooses an item, preferrably one without a limit on buying, but I do not know much about the limits of the GE, so forgive me on that point. This item will be bought by the clan until the stock is bought out, at max price. After this occurs, the people who got the item, will resell it at max price - and the other clan members with buy offers will get them. After getting them, these members will then resell the items at max price again - the first set of the clan will repost buy offers with the money at max price. Rinse and repeat. Because of this, the price of the item will shoot up astronomically, as there is such a vast quantity of max price sales. The item will keep rising and rising until the clan decides to split out the goods, and the members then will attempt to resell at max price to the customer. Do you think this would work? Just an idea off the top of my head... For this to work the clan would always have buy offers in at max price, throughout the entire process of manipulation to ensure all stock is bought out. I understand many of the product will be lost to other buyers outside of the clan, but even those sales will still raise the price, and more stock will be brought in by sellers...[/hide] Please once again note: Do not flame me, I wanted only to know if it was feasable. Good luck trying to find a clan with both high amounts of money, and willingness to work as a team. For this reason the idea is unrealistic, but would the GE be affected like this?
  19. If you are asking the question why do people want Runescape money and wealth, you might as well be asking "Why play Runescape?" -.- People want money to get good items to benefit themselves in game. Nothing to do with real life whatsoever, so please do not say we are all wasting our time by playing this game. (Even if we are)
  20. Wow, people like you make Runescape a bad place... You would let someones grave dissappear when it would cost you about 2k to drink a prayer pot dose and bless it? Hopefully I will be the one to find your grave at some point in the near future...
  21. Thats exactly what Jagex have been doing. F2P have been getting seasonal quest after quest, something unheard of not long ago. Jagex have been reaching out further and further to F2P to accept the hand of subscription, but most people dont realise. As for the scam website part, I can tell you this - I have sent in about 2 or 3 reports concerning RWT websites when there was still the way of doing so. They sent an auto reply saying how they are half-grateful for your message, but they have their own people searching the web for these websites and taking action - and do not require our help. If that makes you feel better, that is all you would recieve nowadays too. Tell me this, how can Jagex make a place for players (p2p or f2p) to submit anything, without hundreds of different complaints and suggestions flooding in?
  22. Well judging from your post, it must be SPAM time.... I was hacked once by one of my friends, literally wiped my bank clean of everything. Luckiliy I could recover it, but it was really awfully tough losing all items including quest ones, and my whole friends list wiped =[ I got him back though muhahaha, me and another friend... found his password and I got myself a free rune longsword  That helped ease my pain a little... (I do not condone hacking or scamming in any way, it was a fair trade off - My entire runescape history and hard work, for a measley 35k)
  23. Exactly. Might as well end this thread on that note as so many of you are insisting on making this yet another p2p vs f2p debate. Do you think members have a secret link for submitting important information to Jagex? Well FYI - We dont. People used to be able to contact Jagex through a form, but it was removed after they recieved a few hundred thousand "Bring pking back now or i quit!" messages. And btw, in Jagex's priority list, P2P will always be above F2P and there is not point arguing that. I was frankly amazed at the amount of updates F2P have been getting recently, as when I was F2P back in 2005, I checked the updates week after week to find absolutely no F2P updates. (Actually I seem to remember the Stronghold of Security opening up, that was a biggie) Without inciting this flamefest, and without generalising, too many f2pers are just ungrateful. :x
  24. Juna really stongly reminds me of something..... hmm.. [hide=Oh yeh]A sock puppet.. [/hide] OT: Id like to see another fight cutscene against Lucien, but instead of 6 moral heroes like last time, 6 guardians of guthix... (Maybe I will be one of those by then! ) Now that would be a good battle... Juna hitting 2000s.... That earwig hitting 1000 in poison damage.... Ahhh
  25. Now that is the important bit I think. If he is talking about the future, we will die fighting Lucien perhaps, or sacrifice ourselves in order to save the day (stone). I dont know why this would be so dramatic though, as we would just respawn... Maybe we wont... =S If he is talking about the past, perhaps we are the reincarnation of some hero, much like Bob the cat, and since that hero was held in some high esteem with Guthix, we can be sure to have his favour in the coming battle. Whatever the outcome, I dont think the conversation is meaningless, although I missed it myself - too busy prayer switching =[
