  1. Omg I found the mini moulded figurines in Tesco today just on the end of an isle for £2! I would have got fluttershy if she was there but I settled on just twilight. Almost got rd too but I didn't like the fig quite as much. I didn't even see them, my bf pointed them out and I went mental :D I shouldn't be that shocked though since I've seen Tesco stocking evil pink celestia and some of the sparkly type ponies.
  2. A good meal will always make me smile. Whether it's a food that I'm craving or just good food, a nice meal will make me smile :)
  3. How dare you D= I still lurk :P

  4. Removed the spongebob spam. Keep on topic guys :P
  5. Scientology wasn't made by celebrities, it was a science fiction writer. It just prays on stupid celebrities.
  6. My dream last night revolved around my family back home and how, when I'd come to see them, everything was a mess with them and I didn't want to be there. Kind of reflecting my real life thoughts there. Then weird stuff happened and I was in an anime store in an airport. There were loads of cool clothes including the cutest swimming costume I'd ever seen, it had a wavy dress bit and rainbow polka dots! But then my boyfriend woke me up and the first thing I told him was that I wanted that costume! :D I sometimes remember my dreams... they're often too confusing/weird that I don't bother explaining them though. They're often a mess of stuff that's happened recently and are almost always really awesome. The ones I remember, anyway.
  7. I'm just not bothered about games looking ultra realistic and perfect. If a game is aiming to be realistic then I like it to somewhat look realistic - poorly made graphics can detract from a game worse than well made but not super-realistic ones. It's just the tone and mood that the game is going for which defines the art style. The mechanics of the game and theme should lead to an art style, whatever that's like. Games shouldn't be all about the graphics and making them better and better. We've reached the point now where graphics can't be improved by very much imo.
  8. I slimmed down my wardrobe a bit when I came to uni so that I only had clothes that would actually fit - here's an approximation. 25 t-shirts (most very colourful, simple. A few internet/nerdy ones) 1 shirt 4 pairs of jeans 2 pairs of cargo pants 1 pair of formal pants 3 pairs of shorts 2 pairs of gym pants 2 skirts (1 short denim & 1 long pink one) 2 dresses 6 hoodies 1 denim shirt 2 jumpers 3 coats 10 pairs of shoes to be fair, most of my clothes have come from primark and I recently started to shop a lot in charity shops. I can't really say any of my clothes are expensive, at most, some of the dresses/nerd t-shirts might have cost around £15.

    Today...

Didn't get a chance to see about it today, but will tomorrow. I don't hate my flatmates that much, the three that go out drinking are first years, they're gonna drink... Its not my atmosphere though and even if it was silent all night I'd rather be with my boyfriend than on my own. They're ok during the day but when they're coming in, shouting their heads of at 3i the morning and actually not caring that people are trying to sleep... Its just bad. Not to mention some of their random people they invite over have a habit of using my plates and cutlery then I'm left washing it up so I can eat. Its not like this everywhere, I know two people who had perfectly fine sets of flatmates last year, I just got stuck with shit ones.

    Today...

It's sort of like dorms, 6 person flats, ran by a private company but endorsed by the University. The proper uni accommodation lets you out of the contract easier but apparently mine is more strict. I'll probably have to find someone to take the room from me if I want to move out.

    Today...

Well I thought I'd be okay with the uni acommodation but tbh it's a bit of a nightmare. I got 3 hours sleep last night because the noisy [bleep]s decided to come in at 3am and no amount of ear plugs helps when they're shouting their heads off. I'm calling in today and asking how I go about leaving. By a billion miles I'd much rather be living with my boyfriend and he'd rather me be there too. I just need to get out of this damn tenancy agreement ¬_¬ I can see the appeal for some sorts of people, the social sort, but if you're quiet and not interested in drinking it can be pretty shit. ¬_¬
  12. I agree. There's nothing wrong with saving money, even if you have it to spare. Why on earth would you pay more when you can put the money saved to something else? :P
  13. Vouchers and coupons aren't as popular over here in the UK as it is in the US, as far as I've heard, but there's a lot of people going around looking for bargains. You only need to look at the MoneySavingExpert forums or HotUKDeals to see it. I always check these sites to look for bargains and while most of them aren't any use, sometimes I pick up some real gems. Saving money is very important to me. My family has never had much money, often because my parents aren't as frugal as they should be, so it's a bit of an obsession of mine to get the cheapest price - within reason of course! Now I'm at uni living on £40 a week it's even more important for me to keep my money close.
  14. Twilight Sparkle? That's not Fluttershy at all.
  15. Cuddling with my boyfriend <3 Reading a good book in the sun. When things just go right, plans work out or everything went better than expected.
  16. Paranormal Entity - Terrible, wasn't scary - just a bit creepy at times. I must admit, it did come from the people that make 'Snakes on a train' and such :P The Exorcist - A proper movie. Didn't really scare me, was more creepy than scary. I can imagine why it scared more people at the time. I really enjoyed it, it was even hilarious at times. :D
  17. I watch it because I love the character designs, the animation is gorgeous, and the creativity that comes out of the fandom is great. If you don't like it, sure, that's fine. My boyfriend tried the show and didn't like it. You don't *have* to like it - just don't hate those who do. Hate is too strong for feelings towards a cartoon.
  18. That's fine :) We'll love and tolerate you anyway.
  19. I've been watching way too many scary movies with my bf ;_; Insidious - Had the scariest single moment. I'd seen the darth maul appearing gif online already and it had really scared me. So when the demon appeared in the film and I wasn't expecting it, I flipped out XD Paranormal Activity - Definitely scary. Loved it. Body-at-the-cam at the end terrified us all. Paranormal Activity 2 - I'd say as scary as the first. The cupboards bursting open was such an expected moment. Poltergeist - Old film, didn't really scare me. Decent movie though - creepy. Grave Encounters - DEAR GOD. TERRIFYING. I really have a thing for psychiatric settings and combining that with the 'found footage' subgenre was great. It didn't have a single most terrifying moment but I think overall it was the scariest. Loved it. We're going to watch PA3 on Thursday at the cinema. It's gonna be epic.
  20. You mean this one? XD Or was it more like this one? :P Or this? :P
  21. I think it's time for me to overhaul my passwords now. Yes, it's a faff, and annoying, but it's something that needs to be done. If you think a burgalar has a copy of your house keys, you don't leave it to chance - you change the locks. I'm glad to see Tif back :)

    Today...

Well I ordered my grandma a DVD off amazon and accidentally got a few bits of the address wrong. Since its already getting ready to ship I can't change the address or cancel so I have to hope that because I got the postcode right it might get there. Was only cheap but I'd rather not have to order 2 :-(
  23. Frankly, my flatmates. This follows on from the conversation already, but I'm really not getting along with them. It's not so much a problem of getting along badly, just that we don't even talk. There's a pair of first year girls who are about as opposite of me as you can be. My friend Charlie who's in the room next to me, who's a lovely person, heard them talking the other night at 3am saying they didn't like her and thought she was rude. They've exchanged about 2 words with Charlie and all Charlie has ever done to them is tell them to quiet down a bit when they were being ridiculously loud at 4am ¬_¬ I'm not sure I'm going to be best buddies with these flatmates ¬_¬

    Google down

I wasn't around, the only time I've seen Google fail though is when they messed gmail by accidentally having the * wildcard in their spamfilter which sent *every* email to spam.
