  1. DGS (DG Sweepers cc) will also make you a plate, but they require more of a commitment to dungeoneering.
  2. Black demons - about 7 quarters of an hour per effigy & 120 crims. Waterfiends - about 5 hrs per effigy & 130 crims. Wyverns - about 5 hrs per effigy & 140 crims (though that was on task, probably less off task). Bursting is around 150 crims, barraging 220, ct fiends 200. That's crimson charms only, approximately.
  3. The last few strength levels, without a rapier, then yeah you might want to go for a controlled whip. But honestly just get a rapier already :P. The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +15 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +25 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it. ^Do that to 99 slayer, should be enough to get a unicorn if not a wolpertinger if not an iron titan. Should also get you 99 atk/def/str and high ranged, magic too from ice wyrms but I'd recommend getting 88 + ovl or 90 + xmage pot for them first.
  4. If Suomi gets (enough) donations, he is capable of making the money for 200m in all skills (virtually) lossless which is really efficient. End of discussion imo.
  5. I mean arrows. They are 100% loss and very fast xp.
  6. I'd go with a defender now, with a rune defender it's 8 stab vs 7 strength, but a dragon defender is 13 stab vs 6 strength, and I think that weighs in favour of the defender. Also, void effect on claw specs. Whip + defender > godsword anyway, not sure how good Verac's is.
  7. First time for me getting a title other than most deaths :). 4 more.
  8. Lol chaotic long, rapier is much better. Don't bother with cls.
  9. Wait, why d boots, why not void, why a book of balance, why a ring of wealth.... FYI ranger's boots are a better ranged attack upgrade than Armadyl.
  10. Broad arrows, Magic with penance horn, Oak doors or mahog tables, the latter with sc hammers (which is slower but easier on the wrists), Superheating gold and plates are about equal, Air staffs, Wines, Are what I'd do and consider best for a tradeoff.
  11. @ Trey: pure melee, deflecting Jad. You're still only 2 levels ahead of me Jimi :D.
  12. ^All correct. Read this to see why (scroll down a bit, there is some math on the subject).
  13. Recommended stats for tanking Graardor: 90 defence, 70 prayer, 90 hp, fruit bat. Recommended for tanking K'ril: 90 defence and magic, 70 prayer, 90 hp, unicorn. Kree'arra can't be tanked, but I recommend 70 defence, 90 magic and 90 ranged, with 74 prayer and rigour + fruit bat minimum. Tanking Zilyana: 99 defence, 70 prayer, 99 hp, unicorn, torva or divine, overloads. Kiting Zilyana: Verac's set, 70 prayer, fruit bat/unicorn, 90 attack and strength on all teammates (no tank here). Or, in small teams/solo, 90 ranged and 80 defence. ^All mimimum stats. You will likely not last long or get a kill at all (Graardor) but it should work for a few kills in a team. For pro tanking I would add overloads to all lists.
  14. There are roughly two schools of thought in Nexing - one is to maul as much as possible (in void/Karil's) and the other is to range (in Armadyl/Pernix). If mauling, turmoil, if not, rigour. Mixed in a team is good also.
  15. Killing Jad without the healers coming requires you to deflect him to death. It works, but is slow. Do granite for mining.
  16. If you can, get turmoil beforehand, it helps out a lot. Secondly, get a soul wars cape if you haven't already. Get ee/eee too. Setup would be something like max melee offence (bandos, defender) with a soul wars cape. 3 pure sets + ee/eee + 4 brew + 4 restore + rest ppots.
  17. Well if you have a ccbow you probably wouldn't be using it overly much anyway, for slayer. All you could do with it would be mithril dragons. For steels, I think arma + kxbow + fero is still superior.
  18. Divine would be better if you were taking damage. Properly, you would only be hit by the monsters up to level 180 (if you soul split them) and that should be tankable with a defender. Get barrows gloves & sw cape, it doesn't take too long. With divine/ovl/turm Nomad is a complete joke. If you were able to obtain a torva piece or two, you could perhaps even tank Jad, though your defence level is quite low. You would simply pray mage, equip torva/divine, and whip everything until it's dead, basically on autoretaliate and soulsplitting when the 360s are dead.
  19. Get torso > never get 2-4 hours back, and you WILL replace it with bcp someday (torso just looks much crappier, no?). Make money for bcp > take more time, increase bank value.
  20. Don't get ccbow, don't do waterfiends, use steel titan + cannon. Multicombat tasks & low defence tasks are your friends.
  21. Note on wyverns: you need some pretty awesome stats, a task, and a unicorn to survive with a maul. It's not the most efficient way to kill them, really, if you have a yak.
  22. Bandos - soul wars cape - barrows gloves - dragon defender - dragon boots - amulet of fury - berserker ring (imbued if possible) - whip/rapier - fsh on task, neit off task. Use 3 overloads, 10-12 super prayer, 4 brews, eee/claws and melee the lot. On Jad, do your usual prayer switching + ranging with crossbow but with your divine equipped in case things go wrong.
  23. Farming for cheapskates is pineapple + willow/maple + calquat (can you do that yet?) and as much herb farming as you can (positive gp/xp ftw).
  24. Barraging all the way (smoke barrage at first, moving on to ice later) would be around 1 crim per 1k magic xp I think, maybe more. Which would be around 6k crimsons for that lot of barraging if not more, or at the very least 1.8m xp. You also get some experience in gold, green and blue. You need around 4.5m xp for a unicorn, so you would need a bit more than just that bout of barraging. You could try black demons for ranged xp and slayer.
  25. ^Wouldn't use effigies on a stat that low, better to RC/tear/peng it up to the 80's at least imo. Do steam runes.
