Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
How is that even possible? :???: Its like being Lactose intolerant, only with water. It happens to very few people. What? Go to a doctor dude, that's really messed up. Seriously, you better be trolling. There's water in pretty much everything, how would you even live?

[DevBlog] Hit Marks: Damage Control
Brilliant! Have you considered getting into politics? I think we can also expect either a slight increase in the number of people playing Dungeoneering or a slight decrease. The skill won't be any more fun, and the shields won't be better, but since people can see what they do without having to read the Knowledge Base they will either be more interested or less interested. Based on what I have read in this thread, this update will be recieved positively by either a majority of players or a minority.

Perseid Meteor Shower
I saw one :D not a shower, but it was the first shooting star I've seen. Meol, last night was the peak (supposedly) but they continue throughout August. I'll probably go back out again tonight. I should have used my star to wish for less clouds.

Staff tackles and chokes deaf man suspected of shoplifting.
This was all over 4chan. The saddest thing is that this really isn't that uncommon. I have had experiences with the police, and have talked to people who have, and it always seems there is some sort of unnecessary violence going on. Think about it. What sort of person is drawn to these professions? Usually, a person who wants to control things and feel self-righteous, and one who enjoys physicality. Events like this are common and should be expected.

Literature
I would post a pic of my bookcases, but I have thrown all of the books I want to keep in boxes and put those boxes in the back of the closet. So I have very few books on the shelf, basically just things I need to read. Which is like, twenty books. I wish I could see the books on your shelf more clearly, I can tell the spines of some, but others I cannot. I wish I had bookshelves. My books are pretty much just piled on any open surface within reach of my bed or a chair. I spot the Harry Potter books on the first shelf. (It seems you're missing a couple.) The only other ones I could make out were on the top of shelf 3. Are those Barnes & Noble Classics? I recognize the format on the spines. I've been reading a few of those recently, as they have all the random books I've always wanted to read but never got around to.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
I do that too. Usually I'll be typing a post, then look it over and realize it's crap so I just close the tab in shame. Regret: I'm supposed to be painting my Grandpa's house before school starts, but so far I've only gone twice. I was planning on going today, but somehow I managed to sleep until 5:00 pm.

Perseid Meteor Shower
Gah, whenever I make plans to start changing my sleeping schedule something awesome starts happening at night. I'll definitely be looking for this, as I've never seen a meteor shower, or even a shooting star, before. The website says they're best viewed just before dawn, has anyone tried getting up early in the morning to see these?

[DevBlog] Hit Marks: Damage Control
As long as this doesn't make combat more laggy, I'm fine with it. A game needs to be updated to keep it from looking like it was made 10 years ago, and the people who don't understand this are just afraid of change. I don't see this update affecting the game that much, but it will be nice.

Always go to "last read" post
Simply click on the icon to the left of the thread name to goto the last read post. (Little orange box with an arrow). Yep, I found it a couple minutes after posting that. I probably should have noticed that before. Thanks.

Always go to "last read" post
I know what he means. I was actually wondering if there was a way to do this the other day. When you are on the forum homepage and click a thread name in the "latest post in:" part of the forum, it takes you automatically to the last post you read in that thread. If you click the forum name (e.g. "Falador Library") and then click the thread name, you go to the first page of the thread. You could click a page number, but it requires that you remember where you stopped reading. It would be very useful to be able to go directly to where you left off.

Food
A good question to ask at this point is: why do you have a tongue and saliva glands in your ear? I've been the one who has been cooking for the past two weeks, since my mom recently had surgery and was told to lay down for so long. I've been making things like chicken pot pie (om nom), stuffed porkchops, lemon couscous and marinated chicken breasts, beef stews, etc. If the culinary fields weren't so damn competitive, I probably would've gone to college for that instead. I truly love to cook. I thought about going to school to be a chef. Then I realized I don't like to cook; I just like to eat  Someone in my family recently found BBQ sauce from the Dinosaur BBQ at a local supermarket. My dad grew up near the original restaurant, but we live nowhere near it. Recently I have been eating everything with BBQ, and it has been delicious. I'm thinking I might make a turkey and cheese with the spicy bbq to see if it's any good.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
Maybe you're just in the wrong part of the United States. Generalizations like this are ridiculous. That doesn't mean moving to Europe is a bad idea, though. If I were you I would take a few language classes before leaving so that you can travel easily.

Most overrated band/artist
I feel the same way about Green Day. IMO their last 2 albums were genius, some of the best concept albums I've heard, but the mainstream songs tended to knock them down a few notches. Wake me up when September ends and Boulevard of Broken Dreams completely covered up the better songs on the album, in particular Letterbomb and Homecoming. 21 Guns and Last of the American Girls had the same purpose in 21st Century breakdown, this time overshadowing The Static Age, Restless Heart Syndrome, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, and American Eulogy. This also happened to multiple other artists, but I don't think I need to elaborate any more. Yes! You have no idea how many times I've listened to Letterbomb, Homecoming, and Give Me Novacaine. I preferred the "Viva la Gloria"s on 21st Century Breakdown (for the great piano intros), as well as Restless Heart Syndrome and Last Night on Earth. Oh, and Peacemaker was good. I tend to prefer their more lyrical songs over the repetitive ones and the sorta-screamo ones.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Iamdan, I mean no disrespect to you, nor to any other "gurus" here. It's just that much of the advice given, if misinterpreted, would lead the people who get their advice here to become, for lack of a better term, a-holes. People who look for relationship advice are, logically, inexperienced. Normally this is because they are young. A young hopeful who is told to be "aloof" and taught to look for IOIs etc. is likely to mess it up by acting over-confident and coming accross as a nuisance. Even if he is successful, he will now have built a relationship on something other than his true self, and a relationship based on pretense cannot succeed. The more likely outcome is sex, not a relationship. This is not a fault of yours, it is a fault of the lack of experience on the other end. It is my firm belief that a relationship stemming from a friendship is more likely to be successful than one between two relative strangers, especially if the PUA mind games are included. Let me tell you a story. Bobby is young and inexperienced. Bobby has feelings he's never felt before for a girl. Bobby goes on the internet for his advice. He doesn't actually talk to her, he doesn't know much about her. Due to his inexperience, he thinks his rare exchanges with her count as conversation, and her rare smiles IOI. Given all the "man up" advice, and perhaps a little sprinkle of "build attraction first, then comfort" he will probably throw out a clumsy "Wanna go out" on the bus rather than approaching the situation logically. Needless to say, an attempt like this will crash and burn, especially in the situation that the girl is also inexperienced. In high school, attraction and comfort are interchangeable. A girl who feels comfortable and enjoys spending time with a boy will become attached to him, whether she found him attractive at the beginning or not. Sure, it is difficult to move from an extended period of friendship to a relationship, but that is how the majority of early relationships start. I don't know about you, but I would much rather enter a relationship with a person who I already knew I shared interests and got along with. I very much appreciate your contributions here, and am not asking you to change. I just think people might look twice before the "he's screwed" posts. Of course, that's just my two cents. Who am I to pretend I know anything about relationships? Oh, and one more thing - you know that effeminate-looking guy with the questionable sexuality? He's the one who gets the girls in early high school. Why? Girls feel comfortable around him, and mistake that comfort for attraction.

School
That's nothing. Check this: Wake up - 7:30 Leave for school - 8:00 Arrive at school (5 minutes late) - 8:05 School ends - 2:30 Home - before 3:00 Jerk Off Random Stuff - 3:00 to 6:30 Dinner - 6:30 Think about homework but go on Hulu instead - 7:30 to 11:00 Bed - 12:00 Sometimes I substitute some video games or music or random meetings in between 3:00 and 6:00. I'm hoping to get to bed earlier next year though. [/hide] I'm jealous <_< Don't be. It's gotten me into all sorts of trouble. I had fun while it lasted though. I'm very jealous.

I'm jealous. Those aren't the greatest books, but at least they're books. My summer reading has always been junk about morals and people saving the poor.

Most overrated band/artist
Pretty much everything on the "popular" radio stations where I live is garbage. Other than that, the Beatles were good, but not as amazing as everyone says they were. For example, the song "We are the Walrus" is just a bunch of drugged-up rambling that deserves to be hidden on a shelf, and yet I see people quoting it occasionally. My biggest beef with the music industry is that whenever an album comes out, people choose one song to play over and over and over, and then everyone thinks that's the greatest song on the album when really it's no better than the others. Green Day's "21 Guns" is a perfect example. They come out with an album full of musical promise and a sort of storyline that reappears throughout the entire album, and somehow society chooses this one boring, repetitive song with very little of musical interest in it.

Inception
I enjoyed it. The plot itself wasn't so great, and it was sort of choppy, plus the characters weren't really developed. However, the concept was excellent, the special effects were cool, and the fight scenes were engaging (especially that one in the anti-gravitational hallway :D). Overall, a good movie. This is what I thought the ending would be, and tbh it would be an excellent ending. Throughout the movie Cobb discussed how dreams can become reality if you aren't careful. It would be really great if it turned out that the wife was right, and Cobb had been living the entire movie in a dream. The choppiness and lack of connectivity, even during the "real" scenes, made this prediction seem logical. It's worth noting that it was never stated whether it was or wasn't a dream. At the end, didn't he spin the top and it didn't show it stop spinning? And when he got home, his kids were sitting in the same place as before. It all seems sort of surreal. I'm hoping this was an intentional blurring of the lines and not a mistake on the part of Christopher Nolan.

What clique/subculture do you think you're classified as?
I'm not sure what group I belong to. I'm quiet and introverted, enjoy music, and am in advanced classes, but I'm not a nerd because I don't really try at anything. I run track, but I'm definitely not a jock. I don't think I'm preppy because I only have a few people who I would consider close friends, and I'm not any sort of emo/goth because I wear normal clothes (tan shorts, faded Ts). Untidy hair, but not long. If anything, I would be a stoner because of my approach to life and my problems with rules, but I don't do any drugs. I would like to propose a new clique: Lazy.

School
School starts Sept. 7 here. I'm in the USA, and I wouldn't say it's always easy, but it gets extremely boring at times. For example, as a kid I loved math, and got all sorts of math awards. Next year I'm going into Upper Standard (The average level class, below advanced) because I have been bored out of my mind with the crap they're shoving into our heads. A few years ago I stopped trying, and last year I had a terrible teacher so I didn't care at all what my grades were. Long story short, the system is set up so that overachievers with little talent other than a love for memorization and a lack of individual thought can look great on the college applications. I'm hoping my classes next year will be interesting.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
So that's it I guess, he got rejected. Just tell him not to give up, plently more fish in the sea as they say. No, she was interested before, she will still have feelings now. All of the pro PUAs here are gonna flame me for this, but tell him to just be nice. Be himself, but a bit more confident, and be a friend first. Ask her out with a group, just as friends, and see where it goes from there. Obviously, he's not naturally intimidating, and I think if he spends some time with her she'd see that.

Finished, with no guides or help. For some reason it says I have 0 points, the commendation points are the things you spend with the pest control reward people, right? E: Ticket in inventory. D'oh.
