  1. Get 85 dung for a rapier and kill frosts.
  2. Remember staring at the fire as the shapes of runes came out of it? Thought I had a pic of that.. Heres the closest I have.. After looking at, I guess they are there behind the animals..[/hide] I loved the simplicity of the older one, minus the fact that you had to go to a separate page just to hop worlds.
  3. Why don't you use your position to influence an admin? Or is that not allowed... Don't do it if it's not allowed do it anyway ;P Erm... My position? Dude, I just edit weekly articles, I'm not a mod or anything :P Maybe if I give Tripsis some sour skittles
  4. Please give justification for this post. Your post does me no good unless you allow me to see exactly why you consider something better than something else. the general consensus around here is that ardy cape 3 is better - if firecape is indeed better please tell me why. do this for all of these items. thanks. Fire cape's strength bonus helps with dps more than ardy cape in mosts circumstances. Anti poison totem is replacing the shield slot, losing either valuable defensive stats or offensive stats from a ddefender. Just use super anti's. The mage bonuses from ASN when tribridding is obviously worth it.
  5. Use the highest level slayer master available unless only going for fast points.
  6. 2k super-antifires isn't practical. The most you will ever use is around 1k. Swap those with something more cost effective.
  7. People complained because those stickies generalize situations too much. Botting needs a small sub-forum in rants or gen discussion. That way people can post about different botting situations/issues, it all won't be clumped together in one thread, and it's not a distraction to users such as myself who get annoyed when there are 3 botting topics made in a row. Lastly, I wouldn't call it stealing activity from the main forum, it's simply redirecting it. I'd rather have less activity in rants that is focused more on other types of rants instead of the current activity that is 80% botting threads/discussions.
  8. Well... he got you away from his bots. How does that make him an idiot? Did you at least go back and kill him?
  9. Should implement a sub-board under rants to host the botting threads. I understand where the posters are coming from, but seeing a dozen threads like this gets annoying.
  10. You're on a GAME where you know next to nothing about the person talking to you. Just ignore it. If you can't ignore it, that's what the public chat filter is for. They don't even know you and are trying to get under your skin, and based off this rant, it has worked.
  11. I agree with this. They have the necessary expertise for the job. +1 +2
  12. What is this... i dont even... Holy
  13. Actually we don't :P We never lock/remove content on request, except for perhaps questions that have been answered (in Help & Advice / Tech & Computers). My mistake. I remembered the ones from H&A and thought there were some guides/other discussions that were too.
  14. I disagree. If the author wishes to have his guide removed from the site because of any reason (like Cowman said, it can be as simple as "Because I said so".), it should be removed. This is exactly the same case as the situation in the top 250 f2p hiscore list. If you don't want to be on the list, you can ask yourself to be removed. Shouldn't be too big of a deal. [/hide] I disagree. There is a difference to a guide (something that is authored using a person's knowledge and experience) and information one could look up in another database. The author, at this point, has forfeit their rights to the guide (per the Copyright Policy - which surprisingly few people are aware of still), and shouldn't be privy to make a claim to remove their work. The fundamental thing is that they don't have the right to anymore. Whether or not it's ethical to honor such a request - still dodging the debate, but I will say this - is it even ethical to ask for such a thing in the first place, if they know they don't have the right to? Here's a for-instance. On the RSOF, I maintain the Linux Technical guide. The RuneScape site also comes with a clause that states that what's submitted to their forum/site belongs to Jagex ("By posting chat or other materials on any Jagex Product, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty free, worldwide license to use and/or modify such materials on any Jagex Product as we see fit."). I wrote that guide with the full knowledge and intent that it would be out there and belong to Jagex, even though it was my hard work and endeavors that went into it. Now, recently, I've not been feeling very optimistic about Jagex or its direction, and in my disappointment and frustration, I should be able to demand that the guide be removed, right? Well, no - for two reasons. 1) The guide was written with the intent to help others - which is the whole point of writing anything, in my mind. Any guide that's out there just stroking someone's ego should be shot down in flames. 2) The guide is no longer my IP - I can't make a claim to something I don't own, after all. How this applies to this situation is pretty straightforward - even though the matter is now said and done, and I disagree with the end result, one cannot make a claim to something they do not own. This is how IP rights work in the real world, and this is where the line between ethics and law is the most clear. If the user didn't want Tip.it to have the guide, then they shouldn't have put it up. Or better yet, they would have familiarized themselves with the ToS of the site they were posting it to, to avoid potential fallout. --- To the hypothetical questions, in essence what is being argued is a slippery slope. If Tip.it allows it for one person for whatever reason, why not allow it for the next? And the next? One could see how this could get out of hand very rapidly, especially considering the volume of work the staff and ex-staff have put into whatever guides they've authored. Tip.It already locks/removes threads at the request of the user, so why should it be any different? He wanted his guide removed because he felt the owners of the site were unfair by banning him and didn't think his work was suited to stay there. He wasn't getting rid of the information, he was simply moving it to a new site where he could continue to help others and keep his guide updated.
  15. Because metagaming is the one that is having problems. Many people who are against metagaming and the efficient advice given will flame the metagamers. There isn't an issue with role-players or other groups.
  16. Most of the "flame wars" that have occured in H&A topics weren't metagamers talking down on others. It has often been others flaming the metagamers for "forcing" their advice on the OP.
  17. Or they see both sides of the argument, want to use both for their different advantages, and have responsibilities with TIF already.
  18. Month and a half old thread is alive...
  19. Faster with your own. I believe you are supposed to take the two herbs(can't remember name) and the rest of the invy/tort with d bones. Light the burners, offer the bones, bank, repeat.
  20. Do you have/are willing to get korasi's sword until you get crapier?
  21. Here is a general idea on how to do each. You should be using piety on most if not all tasks. Black demons Cannon in taverly dung praying pro melee Mutated bloodvelds Cannon in their respective location Dagganoth Cannon for a ~12 min task or if you like DKS you can do that Hellhounds Cannon in resource dung is faster but you can kill in kura's dung Black dragons Cannon in evil chicken lair. Use pro melee and a stabbing weapon Abberant spectre Cannon in pollinaveach well. Use pro melee Suqah South spawn near astral altar. Cannon is optional Kalphites Cannon soldiers in the small room in the dungeon Dark beasts kuradal's dungeon. Use pro melee Ice strykewyrms Melee until you can use fire surge Steel dragons Kuradal's dungeon. Use pro melee and a stabbing weapon. Iron dragons Same as steels Mithril dragons Ancient cavern. Use mage def gear like black d hide or karils with a stabbing weapon
  22. Each is either fast, good exp, cannonable, have good charm/effigy rates, or a combonation of those.
  23. Post by Quyneax covers it pretty well. She posted this in another thread earlier.
