-new- Clan Wars. Much to debate & discuss.
Yea, that's why Jagex isn't giving a reward at all for winning clan wars. Other than it would be pathetically easy to give rewards and still work around that limitation. Just set a 10 player minimum for both sides. Only way that could be rwted would be for the rwt to run 19 bots simultaneously, and the rewards would be only 1/10th, divided among the 9 bots and the one buyer on the winning side. Or raise it to 20. Or 30.

What makes a good friend?
The problem with this is u don't really know anyone you do see in real life. there hidden behind there logos, there social class, just there desire to be cool and respected on the internet these thing are irrelevant you don't base your opinions on there cloths or popularity you base it on their actions, their habits, their soul if you will and you don't need to meet someone to be a friend every time a friend of mine quits a part of me goes with them but the memories always remain on topic ~What makes a good friend? someone willing to stick up for u someone who doesn't care of your experiance only your deeds someone who is there when u need it ~How do you view yourself a good friend to others? i help others in almost anything they ask from lv 3 newbs (not noobs) who want to know ways of making money to even old players who are just returning to the game and are awed by all the updates ~What would you do for a friend that you met on RS? if a friend dies and hes far from his grave i drop everything and try to get to it if a friend has been hacked before balanced trade i would give him my items until he got back on his feet if a friend is bored i make time to to fun mini games withhim if a friend is in a bad mood i try to cheer him up `What do you think a friend would do for you? vice-verca overal just someone you can have a great time with and will help each other in their times of need Seriously, if you think you get to know people better over the internet than in real life, you're one of those kids destined to become an internet predator statistic. Sure, people hide behind masks in public. But if class is a mask, the internet is a full [bleep]ing body suit.

Void Armor- it's a disease!!!
Ever try to hit a high level player in karils with maxed mage bonus? Splash city. Think hitting every 6-7 casts. You could have +400 range defence, and they'd murder you, as you will hardly ever hit. The answer is simple... put on your torags, equip your bandos godsword, and spec. I've 3 hit countless rangers like that... the horrible defence karils provides means an almost guaranteed hit with spec, making the chances of a hit on the next few swings quite high. It's not unusual for you to attack a melee player with barrage, have a ranger start ranging you, equip weapon and spec\kill, and continue maging the meleer... before he is even unfrozen, rarely taking damage. Ahrims is far superior to void mage; torags destroys melee, karils top\torag legs\verac helm\DFS\rune c bow w/ diamond bolts\fury\dragon boots\accumulator is far, far superior to void range in PVP. This whole paragraph is invalid for non pvp, but so is the void mage\range defence argument :| I know the routine, just like you I'm a 99 mage. But in whatever circumstance where someone needs ranged defense on a mage, that's the one and only way to get it, and weak as it is, the fact that void is the one and only ranged defense set a mage can wear has to count for something.

Void Armor- it's a disease!!!
The mage set isn't useless. Coupled with a dfs and solid mage bonus gear, you can get around +210 ranged def. Your mage bonus hurts, but you can still get 35-40 or so, and add that to the set bonus of +30% it's the only answer magic has to ranged.

Pker attitude-Spreading like a disease?
That sounds like immense fun. That just sounds like you suck, but hey, whatever floats your boat. If someone [cabbage]talks me at the pits I drop him solo or if it's absolutely needed one other friend. You really want to ruin some gimp like that's day? Bringing 30 people don't do it, nobody could survive that. You want to dent my ego, bringing a whole 30 people to kill me because I 2 hit you earlier is going to accomplish the exact opposite.

The Effects of the Runecrafting Guild
Really? I thought you could only buy unnoted ess. Must have been wrong.
-
The Effects of the Runecrafting Guild
They should let you buy pure ess from the minigame noted. Pure essence has been overpriced for way too long.

RuneScape Is A Real MMO!
I'm sorry, but did you try to compare a fps to a TT puzzle box? RS doesn't need a brain, hell, it plays better if you put your brain in the fridge before playing. Just because ME2 requires a bit of thinking (if you don't use a quest guide that is), that doesn't put it on par with the amount of skill needed to succeed at pvp in say WoW or Halo. The only determining factors in RS are a) amount of time spent grinding like a zombie, and B) luck. Skill is nonfactor. Sure, someone that is good at organizing time and is able to think outside the box for leveling will do better than the average mik, but no matter how you spin it, it all boils down to hundreds of hours cutting willows and beating up fire giants. RS really is a basic game that isn't on par with most of the other mmos out there.

How long will the Beta last?
LOL, they are going to throw their hard work down the drain? This is Jagex we're talking about, what do you think? I think you need a logic pill. ;)

if charms had a price...
Gold 250 ea Green 350 ea Crimson 2.5k ea Blue 10k ea. Remember, you only need around 20k blue charms to go from 1-99 summon, 10 ea is a low guess honestly. As for crimson, most people don't think twice about buying 500g chunks of granite for 1.5k ea to level, 2.5k for the charm isn't out of the question.

Should double wielding be allowed?
Used to play a game with duelwielding, and if it hadn't been for careful development when the game was released it would have been op. Basically, they set it up so for all classes but rogues, if you chose duelwield, you lose most if not all of your passive defense (a mechanic that works like RS defense), so basically your only defense was how much resist you have on your armor and how much hp you have. You also lost 33% of each weapon's damage, although this still meant you were hitting around 33% harder thanks to two weapons. You usually had better accuracy thanks to the extra enchants you could get on your second weapon. Although I think it would be a bad idea for RS, if they were to reduce weapon damage by 33%, defense by 50% or so, accuracy by 25%, and maybe even slow the attack speed a bit, it might be workable as a weapon for pures - but all that would do is add more fuel to the "luckscape" factor of this game, which is the reason I've left this game once again.

New update agaisnt people with less rl money
That is such a slight difference I don't see how you could compare it to RWT. You're comparing having a slightly longer view range in BH to being able to buy half of the skills in the game and having access to any piece of armor they like. No comparison.

Summoning looked down upon?
I once saw a 126 with an untrimmed fletching cape. I almost cried.

17 December 2007 - Future Changes to Recent Updates
That, and it's going to be available "in the first half of next year", which translates into next June, May if you're lucky.

17 December 2007 - Future Changes to Recent Updates
So, basically, in other words; "We've decided to remove the wildy. Next June you're going to get a minigame to replace it, and maybe by next Christmas we might make it two!" -.-

RWT is not beat
So you propose they ban everyone that change IPs? No more Rs at work, internet cafes, friends houses, etc..? :| They already ban people with constant change in IPs. So I've heard.... They never banned me, and my IP used to bounce around all over the place. :-k
-
RWT is not beat
Oh wait, people like me travel 5 months out of the year and use more IPs than cough drops this time of year? Besides, a one-time change in IP doesn't suggest much more than that the guy went out of town for a day and logged in at a hotel.

Who have YOU lost due to the recent updates?
If danger ruins a game, then I wonder what keeps pvp-exclusive games like Shadowbane and Guild Wars ticking? :-k Biggest load of bs I've heard in a while. If getting pked once or twice in an area you concentually entered ruined the game for you, more's the loss. But you're right. A few idiots scammed with the wildy, and a few others got scammed, so it's all good and fair that it's gone now. Now, let's move on - after all, how many people teleother in the barrows? Better remove that minigame... or maybe because of all the dk lurers? Another game hits the dust. Sure, those methods are outdated, but after all, the item drop changes would have affected the wildy too, so any scamming out there would have been prevented as well. That's why this game company sucks.

Who have YOU lost due to the recent updates?
Is this where I say "I rarely pked people below my combat."? And is there you reply "I guess not every pker ganked lowbies."? And this is where I reply "Most pkers don't"? And then you respond with "Wrong, cause I have sooo much experience with the wildy"? Then I guess I'll just save both of our time, and just not respond to your stereotyping and blatant ignorance, eh? Besides, only an idiot steps into a pking area without expecting to be killed. If he was out there, no matter what he was doing, don't count of walking out. You might. Don't expect it to happen every time, though. Don't act like those "low level members" are soo innocent when they strapped on their own pk gear and attacked us. God, I'm just waiting for the day when they finally remove some major skillin [bleep] and all you self-righteous woodcutters start crying, cause I'll start playing again long enough to laugh at you ingame.
-
Who have YOU lost due to the recent updates?
Just logged in for quite possibly the last time. Talked to 6 people, 5 are quitting, and about 10 others that almost always were online at this were offline the entire time I stayed ingame. Out of those 10, I know for sure that a couple of them have quit too, from talking to people that know them. Ah well. There's better stuff out there, anyways. Oh, and to dharokslayer, I've done over 200 clues, and I've never been pked once. I just guess I'm too cool for those 12 year olds, eh?

Shut the hell up and live with it
I hope to god they take quests out...heck, it's only one part of the game, right? You accuse pkers of being close-minded. Take a look in the mirror. The options you're naming are non-competitive, non-pvp options in a game. Sure, you might not quit if they nuke woodcutting or smithing; after all, you can still get your jollies mining or fishing. What's a pker's alternative? A lame, half-assed replacement for a once active and popular activity. Or risk-free, low fat, flavor-free safe minigames. Take your pick. You want a fair comparision? Imagine RS nuking everything non-combat in this game. Hey, you'd still have pking, questing, and combat training, right? You wouldn't last a week in that RS. So who's close-minded?

Age Of Fast Money : Dead forever.
I'd like to see one person that got rich overnight merchanting. Excluding those cases where somebody decides to quit and practically gives away a rare or something, of course - those can happen to anybody. Don't fool yourself that merchin' was fast cash. Sure, I got rich merchanting, but it's only a better car, not a rocket.

13 December 2007 - "A Word About Our Updates" + Wallpaper
Excuse me, farming is one of my favourite skills. Its the only skill that is totally different. You gain xp while being offline. You obviously never seriously tried it. (Yes I know, in the beginning the skill seems quite overwhelming, but with a little bit of brains, you will be able to get used to it, and use it to your advantage. You are obviously lacking that minimal amount of brain cells). If you would have said hunter was a flop, i could at least agree a bit. Hunter is pretty much the same all over. No real use. (okay, chins, but thats about it). Whereas farming provides the herborist to actually make money and get his own herbs. To this guy (and the other 4 or whatever that insulted my "indifference" towards farming); Stuff it. Sure, some people like farming. Some people like Trouble Brewing. Some people like Barbarian Assault. That doesn't mean TB or the BA were the best things that ever happened to RS. Farming was cracked up to be something big, and it didn't deliver. Yes, I know, it's decent for herblore (believe it or not, I have used it before to support my own herbloring.) I do know the basics of the skill, and mine probably beats most people's here, even at my second lowest skill or whatever. Just think of all the hype farming got, and look at it now? Least popular skill out there, or close to it. People are thinking of summoning like it's going to be this great big super update, and odds are, it's not going to be. Take my words for it, after it gets released, it'll die down to another boring, generic part of this rapidly deteriorating game.
