Well, as a regular reader of Cracked.com, you should take anything they write about with a large grain of salt, it's not usually meant to be serious. :P That was one of the more serious articles I've read from them though, and it seems they did some research for it too. It doesn't surprise me one bit that they have people with Ph. D.s in brain control working for them. :P Whatever gets companies the money.

I'm pretty sure the RSOF is where people go when they don't have any other forums to go too. They don't have enough knowledge of the game to find other forums to use. Some serious people go there to talk to Jagex, I'm sure, but they seem to be outnumbered by people who just whine and complain and have no indepth knowledge of how things really work. Just my opinion, I could be wrong. :P

Melee has always been ahead of the game, really. I thought Jagex was working on this still? If that's the case, there isn't a lot we can do except give them time. I understand why people are frustrated by this though.

As far as I can tell, the problem here is that it says tomorrow, when tomorrow isn't the day you should be coming back. Just submit a bug report or something so they know about it, and they will fix it if they decide it needs fixing. Maybe not immediately, but I'm sure sometime in the future.

My understanding of barrows drops is this: While you are in the tunnels and killing things (anytime before you open the chest) all drops you WOULD have gotten go right into the chest. So it seems to me that if you kill 300+ plus monsters, you'll get 300+ monsters worth of rune drops. Someone may correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought that was how it worked.

As far as I know, store-buying is a daily thing that doesn't make HUGE amounts of money, but adds up over time. You wanna buy things like the pineapples and seaweed from the guy in Catherby, and the staves from that shop in Varrock. I think there's someone who sells staves on Lunar Isle too. If you get bored of rcing, killing green dragons to sell the bones and hides seems a popular suggestion for making money.

As there's an alter right there, don't worry about defensive or prayer bonus armour. Worry about strength bonus. Pray melee and the best strength and attack boosting prayers you can. Bring antipoisons, because there are a few little spiders hanging around that like to poison you. Bring a one-click teleport, because bad things do happen. DON'T leave the side of the alter, because last I checked, you CANNOT walk through the monkey guards. That's what the one-click tele will be for. If you get separated from the alter and and running out of prayer. You'll eventually figure out how things work, just be careful and be prepared.

Green dragons are always a good option. Sell both the bones and the hides.

If the first article was edited, there are some GLARING mistakes that were not caught. I would be willing to volunteer some time to proofread articles each week if that's what it takes. :P It would also keep me updated on runescape news while I was taking a break from the game.. Anyways about the article itself, yes I think bots are a problem, but autotyper bots aren't the real problem. It's so sad that people won't even play the game, they just want the bot to do it for them. What's the point? It serves no purpose... I really hope that Jagex can find something to do about it, and that the problem doesn't grow too severe. On the second article, I definitely find the advertisement annoying. While I'm currently a free player, the vast majority of my runescape gaming is spent as a member. Members really shouldn't be subjected to that kind of advertising, especially when it makes logging in annoying. (The 4 buttons that look almost identical can sure throw you off if you aren't used to it). However, it's not like it's really a problem. Sure, people have to pay more attention to which button they click on, and sure free players are having members benefits shoved in their faces (and current members are too..) but it doesn't change the gameplay at all. Once you've logged in, it's no different. If they don't decide to remove it, that's there choice.

I always had troubles trying to kill waterfiends there. I like the ones in the Ancient Cavern or whatever it's called much better. They aren't multi, so it's easier to deal with them, though they are still aggressive.

That seems the real irony to me. :P I could go on and say how stupid people are, people need to lighten up, etc. I bet the kid weren't even upset, it was the adults who were upset. What can you do though. The world gets more and more sensitive everyday. Maybe we should just return to the archaic lifestyle for a while, and people will lighten up. :P

Yeah, just wait a while. It's not like they'll never go back up again, especially with the exp weekend coming up.

I always go to the Death Plateau, though it's been a while since I've been on a troll task. Since I've gotten higher levels I often killed the two bigger trolls standing at the entrance to the Plateau. They went down quick and usually spawned quick enough that I didn't have to wait around in between spawns. (Even if they weren't quick enough, you could kill smaller trolls while you're waiting). I can't remember if they're had better drops or anything.. but certainly more exp for the task. :)

I'm happy with all these updates. :D I kind of like Aquanites, so maybe I'll buy those sometime. I'm not sure if I need the extra space to block another task, most of Kuradal's tasks are good imo. ^^ The auto thing seems nice, I'll likely buy it too. :o

I use EE here and there, I think it's worth it. Plus diaries are fun!

Not that I know how temp bans and Jagex work or anything.. but it seems to me those players are temp banned while Jagex investigates. During those two weeks they can sort out who actually cheated, who did it by accident, who they aren't sure about, and then act accordingly. I'm certain more people will get perma banned as they figure these things out. You wouldn't want them to go all out and perma ban everyone who even looked like they may have abused the bug, right? That would definitely be a step in the wrong direction. I think the way Jagex is handling this is perfect, and +1 to them!

Oh my, I wouldn't be surprised. :P My words, though, were "Can you please switch worlds?" After which, they asked, "are u a bot?" and I said "No, I just asked you a question.."

Someone asked me if I was a bot, AFTER I asked them to change worlds.. I just had to say something about how nonsensical that is. :P You totally deserved your cape, don't worry about it. I can't say I enjoy the way they demean our accomplishments.. but YOU know what you did. It seems to me that if they're jumping to conclusions, they're probably involved in that kind of activity.

Yeah, bank space has never been a problem for me, except for in my rather early f2p days. :P I don't think I've ever had a completely full bank as a member.. Sure, the math may be a little bit off in how many pets you can store and how many you can have, but if you REALLY need 20 or however many pets, then use the bank space. If you're having a serious problem with bank space, you probably just need to thoroughly organize it, and get rid of junk you never use. I'm sure there's some there.

I only ever had to start taking it in Grade 5 too, so I only got 4 years of French language learning. I could have kept taking it, but I felt that would be utterly useless. I never once had a good french teacher, and I never had one teacher for more than a year. It's sad really. I know NOTHING in French, even after taking 4 years of classes? I have no interest in trying to keep learning French, but I think I might have if my teachers had been any good at it, and if we ever went past learning the same verbs and the form they go in year after year. I'm really annoyed at the terrible French education we received, and I just wanted to vent about it a little, whether or not learning the language is necessary. :P

Yes, but why not get slayer experience at the same time? Slayer is definitely a fun way to make some money, but not everyones choice I suppose. Wcing yews can't go wrong, killing dragons is just great, if you have 44+ RC, making natures isn't so bad. I'm not sure if it's as good as it used to be (maybe it's even better, idk :P). You'll always profit though. There's many guides with many ideas out there. Just pick something that you want to train, think of ways that it can make you money, and then go ahead and do that.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but killing them under that whirlpool as opposed to in the Chaos Tunnels is much easier. It may be a little more inconvenient to get to, but it is not multi-combat. Because of this you save a LOT of prayer and food, and can stay MUCH longer for a trip. I've never tried using a mace or b axe, but Zamorakian Spear is much more effective. DEFINITELY use a crush weapon if you can, a whip will only waste time and resources.

Go check out the AoW. There's atleast one really good guide you can look at in there, detailing the best pouches to use for your charms for different levels.

Hmm that's certainly interesting. Lifetime membership would be great on the wallet. ^^ But a trip to Headquarters?? Wow, that would be cool. I'd feel like a super-nerd though. xD
