  1. I haven't had members for a while, but I imagine I will be getting it back soon. I like to Slayer lots, and sometimes I use range. I intend to buy the Focus Sight, as 1.5m isn't much at all. :P Once buying that can I just use it on my Slayer Helmet and they'll combine? Or do I need both the Focus Sight and Hexcrest to attach them? Or do I need to make a whole new Slayer Helmet from scratch?
  2. Sweet. Mind if I drop by some time too? Username same as you tip name? I recently changed my name and I don't feel... secure... disclosing it cause someone else on the forums might be upset that I took the name they wanted. But you can still reach me with the same name as my TIF name  Umm... I want your name!
  3. Yep, continue with slayer. If you wanna camp sometimes, go right ahead. But might as well keep gettin slayer experience, really.
  4. That's a good question.. and it's one I doubt anyone knows the answer too. You could ask someone at Jagex, but even they might not know. :P The workings of the RoW were always a huge mystery, several JMods giving several answers, until they finally cleared it up on the Knowledge Base page. Good luck finding an answer though. :)
  5. Pretty sure you have to go to different parts of the stronghold to get different pieces.. don't you?
  6. That would make sense. Support. :P (Even though I'm a long way from making any of those potions..)
  7. I kind of like killing Aquanites. Though I can see why some people wouldn't. They aren't very fast, nor do they yield a lot of profit. I do them just fine using a bunyip though, but I do have to make 2 or 3 trips per task.
  8. It's really slow.. but I generally range my black dragon tasks. (Which Lapalok assigns, but Chaelder does not I'm pretty sure). I have no idea the exp rate (slow :P) but you'll definitely make a profit. Can even buy really good ammo with the profit you'd make. :P Would make the tasks go faster.
  9. They're supposed to be really fast exp too. I don't do them, because my technique sucked, and they were really annoying with the chimes. :P With the update to the chimes though, they might be better now. No reason not to try them out! And that Misunderstood Monsters guide is really good. ^^
  10. They're just really rare. I don't think there's anything else you can do to improve your chances. Just gotta keep trying.
  11. In response to the second article: I kind of like being a lone player. I don't participate much in group activities, and thats the way I like it. However, I do really like the idea of needing multiple classes of people to take on monsters. That sounds like a lot of fun. I would love to take an a monster like that, could try out whatever class you wanted. ^^
  12. Hmm I guess this gives me something to think about. Thanks for the replies guys!
  13. I collect spinach rolls. ^^ Can't remember how many I've got right now.. at least 20 I think. Curses to the day they made them untradeable and took them away from randoms. :(
  14. So I don't have members right now, I've been working on some f2p skills while I'm waiting for the last couple weeks of school to end. Right now, I'm wcing to 88, I'll end up with about 5k yews sitting in my bank. My intention was to fletch them once I got members back, but yew prices are great looking right now. :P My question is, is there a better way to fletch? I'm not terribly worried about money over experience, and I'm not an efficiency demon, I just wanna know in a general way if there's a better way to turn my logs into fletching experience. Something like if no one sees yew logs staying at this price, if they're gonna drop soon.
  15. I couldnt agree more with this one, something that can't be bought but has to be earned through pure determination. I also agree. I'm not much of a boss hunter, nor are any of my skills all that high at all (compared to what seems to the norm these days..) but I would LOVE the opportunity to earn my own armour, better than anything I could buy off the GE. Slayer would be a perfect way to implement that, I think. As well as maybe an addition to mining and smithing, or crafting. There are many possibilities. :D Just so long as the whiners don't whine about how it's "tooo haarrrddd", and they have every right to the armour like everyone else does, why can't they buy it!! I only see a slim chance of Jagex giving in to that though, at least in this case. :P
  16. Well.. I have no idea how my university compares to any other one.. We have a synchrotron though. :P Only one on the continent I'm pretty sure.. There have been times where I've thought about going to tech school instead of university.. mostly AFTER I started going to university. :P To the topic creator: (If you're serious about this) tech school is much more hands on, and you don't worry about all the *extra* stuff, the stuff that is really unnecessary to just do the job you wanna do. However, as far as I know, and I hope it's really true, a degree has a higher standing than a diploma. I hope future employers will look at my future resume and be like "Oooohh, a degree, she must know her [cabbage]. Lets get her!" (Not meaning a diploma means you don't know your stuff, you certainly must know your stuff. :P I'm just trying to.... I don't know, I'll leave now. xD
  17. Yeah, that's always kind of what I thought. I'm absolutely sure that someday, something terrible is going to happen to the human race, because we are so freaking overpopulated. Everything nature throws at us though, we tend to stomp on and destroy.. Remember H1N1? That was supposed to be a big deal wasn't it.. guess not. :P
  18. I just remembered I have no money either. Can I has aasiwat? Alright, alright. I know he's not a big deal anymore, but I'll settle for Zezima's account since no one else wants it.
  19. Well.. you guys sound like you are talking about very technical things that I COMPLETELY don't understand. But.. if you wanted to most one square north-east, you have to options. Move the equivalent of one square (diagonally) or move on square north and one square east.. Seems to me, by common sense, that moving diagonally is faster than moving straight north/west/east/south.
  20. Bah, then why do I find myself taking 3 calculus courses? xD Found this thread interesting, I'm currently in my first year of comp sci at university, and I definitely really want to get into gaming. ^^ Programming sounds like a lot of fun to me, and everyone's talking about logic more than math.. I'm excited. ^^ Guess I didn't have a lot to share, but just wanted to say something I guess. :D
  21. Not sure how people are going to take this.. I don't visit the RSOF very much, except for when I'm very bored, so it doesn't really affect me. Will be interesting to see what members think of this, as well the the f2p who worked hard to gain access to the forums. :P
  22. I wish I could have participated, but I'm f2p for now, too busy irl. :( Sounds like it was a lot of fun for a lot of people, and I really hope they choose to repeat this event in the future!
  23. Huh, that's cool, something besides wcing or mining for me to do while i'm f2p. ^^ Wonder what the 300 QP reward is? Once I get members back I'ma have to work on finishing a couple quests. :o
  24. I had a friend in cc complaining about the amount of randoms he was getting too. No one else was talking about it though. I didn't get a random while I was on either, but I'm f2p, so maybe none of those effects will reach us.
  25. That accounts for just regular experience.
