  1. That last idea seems unreasonable. Currently there are less than 400 maxed players, taking into considiration that not all of them will play in these worlds, and that they have school/jobs and obviously DO sleep and eat or have other obligations, I doubt these worlds will have more than 20-50 players on at one time at max. They have their own forums, they can have thier own world. I think the point is that their own world would be pointless, barely used, and a waste of space. :P
  2. If you're mining mithril anyways, here's what I do sometimes. Take as many nats as you want, wield a fire staff, and don't forget your pick. :P Mine mithril and coal in the guild (I'm sure there are other spots this would work if you don't have guild access..) and then just superheat it there. Good mining exp, as you rarely have to bank. It's a bit slow, but after you've superheated the mith bars, make them into something like a mith kite or 2h (mith body when you can) and alch them. Makes profit. :D You'll probably have to do some calculations as prices may have changed though.
  3. Lol but don't worry, I'm very certain that wasn't a level 3 clue. I used to do a lot of clues (I've quit a couple times, just recently coming back to the game again.) It doesn't look like I took very many screenies though. :P Here's one:
  4. I can't remember exactly, but I know it has something to do with buying the hot sauce in pollinevich. (Spelled wrong I know. :P) You put it in the camels food trough, and then after waiting a short period of time, you can collect your camel dung. :P
  5. I don't see why you shouldn't melee them, if you prefer it. You should probably check out a guide, I'm sure there are lots in the AOW and guide forums. Wear proselyte or similar armour, with a good prayer boost, as wel as an antifire shield of course. Whatever weapon you want to use will work. Anti fire potions are a good to use, but definitely not a must. Bring prayer pots and pray against melee. Bring sharks (unless you have antifire pots as well) because some fire will still hit you. Otherwise, just hack away, keep up your prayer and health. A beast of burdern or a bunyip wouldn't be a bad thing. I think I covered everything.. I likely missed something hugely important though, so definitely look for a guide. Don't forget to bring a [disposable] axe and gp so you can get to the dragons.
  6. Well I've never had 64m in my life.. But look on the bright side, you didn't lose the exp you got when you died? And 4 hours? That's nothing. I'm sure you've wasted thousands more playing this game in the first place. :P I don't have any advice to get you "back on your feet".. but I do think you can come back from this just fine. :)
  7. Hmm that sounds fun. :D If I get members back I'll definitely be checking it out. :) I'll check out your guide when it comes out too. :D
  8. Some whiny pkers quit? I wouldn't use the word whiny, most of those who quit were oldschool pkers who had enough. The rest sucked it up and tried to bear with it. And there was a profit from this, they stopped their real life credit card issues - this was the main reason they acted upon this. Yes, it paied off, for THEM. It has not improved gameplay, you are obviously too lonely to notice just how much this game has turned into a single player MMO. We barely need to interact with players for trades, and we cant give freebies to our friends. Since the change to the wild, most of the clans from the top 10 ( if not all ), quit. Clans are a huge community based part of the game, the changes to the game wiped a lot of that out. Please, before you post, understand in comparison to the old days, this is a step in a negative direction. Luckily with community based sites such as Tip it, Runescape is still a game worth playing and we are strong enough to make do with such decisions, just as we have done since the evil update which was Pest Control. Well, I really don't have time to read the entire thread, but I do have an opinion I would like to voice. I happen to remember, very well, the times of RWT. Autoers EVERYWHERE. Raw materials were worth garbage. The game was being ruined for EVERYONE that enjoyed the skilling part of the game. People like me, who have no interest in PvP, and PREFER to play mostly alone. What Jagex did with the grand exchange and destroying RWT was an absolute godsend for people like me. The part I bolded, where it says they did not improve gameplay; many people were VERY unhappy with the fact that they could no longer have any fun skilling. They had to compete with hundreds of autoers for things that were becoming more and more useless. Now, seeing as I haven't read the whole thread, I don't know how relevant this still is. But I really wanted to say what I had to say. :P
  9. Hello, I've been gone for a while, and I've heard a couple things about how mining has gotten much easier to train. Being one of the skills that I like more, I wanna get in on this. :D I looked into what it was about a bit, but I'm not entirely clear. What I think I know is: these caverns (living caverns I think?) you get into them from the dwarven mines somewhere. There's lots of big scary monsters, so it's dangerous. The exp rate is better than normal mining. So I was hoping someone could fill me in on what these caverns are really about, the best way to go about using them, and stuff like that. :D Thanks!
  10. If you're worried about the number of slayer points you're getting, then go ahead and do Vanneka tasks in between Duradel. It really comes down to personal preference. I do slayer just for fun, and Sumona tends to give me more tasks that I enjoy. Duradel is better for experience though, if that's what you're looking for.
  11. I powertrained granite from about 78 to 85, and I couldget about 50k exp an hour. I wasn't OVERLY serious about it, but I've heard of people getting about 60k an hour. I've never trained on just gold, so I can't help you there, sorry. I'm pretty sure that powermining iron in f2p is anywhere between 40k to 45k an hour.
  12. Yes it's assigned by the teacher. The only formula that I can come up with is F = UN (lol that says fun.. F is for force, U for the coefficient of friction, and N for the normal force). It doesn't give me his weight or mass though, and seeing as there's no vertical movement, his weight and the normal force should cancel out anyways right? Is there even a normal force? He isn't standing on anything.. EDIT: Also F=ma (force = mass times acceleration) But again, even if I figure out the force on him, I don't know the mass, so I can't figure out acceleration.
  13. Dude... I didn't even SAY what the coefficient of friction is. O.O All I want is a little help with something I completely don't understand.
  14. So I need someone out there who's good at physics and can help me... I've been struggling with this problem all week, and it's due tomorrow morning. :P I don't even know where to start. The problem is there's a stuntman on the front of a truck. He isn't standing on anything but he can "stick" to the front of the truck as long as it continues to accelerate. It asks me what the minimum acceleration the truck needs to have in order for the stuntman to stay on the truck. All it gives me is the coefficient of friction (doesn't even say whether it's static or kinetic). So any help? :D
  15. Gosh I wish I had members right now. >.< I like agility, and new ways to train it sound amazing. :D However, I don't think I have the levels for the new courses anyways. :XD:
  16. Doubt, wasn't he killed? Yes, Elvarg was definitely killed. :P The trailer looks pretty sweet though! :D
  17. Um.. how serious are you? O.O
  18. I haven't been following this thread or anything, but as of three minutes ago I finally finished X-2. O.O I got X for my birthday one year, loved it, so I got X-2 for my birthday next year. :XD: And this year? I got twelve. :o So now that I've finally finished X and X-2 I can play twelve! :D
  19. That's the winter hunting area way north of the keldagrim entrance. If you're looking for teleports to that area, the fairy ring AJR is very close. You just have to run a bit north from the ring. The Slayer Ring teleport to Slayer Cave also puts you very close, I believe.
  20. Well, I've unfortunately got a lot of things going on right now, so I'm not all that into playing, but come summer I might be able to actually get some play time in! Hopefully with members back. :D (On a sidenote, I withdrew all my laws in f2p accidentally, now I have to carry them all around with me. :wall: ) With the new energy update, agility sounds like a good thing to train. :D I've been working on getting all skills to 75+ since I got them all to 70+, so hopefully I can continue on that. :D I have a bit of a goal to mine 1k+ rune (impossible in f2p I've discovered O.O), and that would be great to be able to do too! In the end, maybe I'll spend a bunch of my extra money on construction, just for some total levels. :)
  21. I believe that since the update where they auto-string themselves? Cutting might be faster now. I believe it is actually faster because you only have to bank half as much. :D
  22. That's interesting.. I better go read these patch notes. :D To be honest though, the Champion Challenge doesn't sound like all that much of a great thing anyways though. The only thing that really comes with it is prestige of having beat it, but if the drop rates are much more common now, that prestige won't even be there. :P Oh well, guess we'll see what happens. Everyone will probably complain, just like they were complaining before. It's the way things work around here. :P
  23. You're insane dude. Looks like fun though, wish I had the drive to do that sort of thing. :D Maybe I'll mine 10k rune... *inspired*... anyways. Good luck on this, hope you get a visage or two. :D
  24. I like to mine rune in the hero's mine. :D However that option isn't really open for everyone I guess. :P Maybe try and think of something along that line though. Something that is easy to get but people generally don't because it's boring or takes forever. Could mine addy? Their respawn time is long enough that alching is definitely a viable option. I know there are things that I've thought of before that would be great for doing while alching, but I can't think of them right now! >.
