  1. edit: 5 was a little low; raised it to 6. stats 6/10. bank 0.5/10. [hide=comments]what should i rate? albel? or his stats and bank? i think you seem like a polite, pleasant individual so for that the rate is 10/10. grats on the 1500 milestone. that's good you're happy with your character. as for the bank and stats, i want to preface my comments. first of all i dont know what your goals or plans are, so its hard to say what you should or shouldnt be doing etc. seems to me you play the game a lot differently than i do; so how do i rate that? i'm going to rate it how i would rate anyone based on what i know of the game and what i think are good and essential stats for the game etc. so keep in mind, that is the definition of how i'm rating your bank and stats. about your stats... the combats are good when taken with the rest of your stats. if you were to train certain skills those would go up... which is a good thing. namely magic and i suppose range. if you were to train these skills: crafting, smithing, mining maybe, and slayer. runecrafting would help; it sure wouldnt hurt. if it were me; i would say your next goal should be a quest cape. that would help a lot more than you may think. i really think you are shortsighted selling your bank off; those things can be used later on... things like herbs, herb seeds etc. your runecrafting and herblore levels are not good and i wont sugarcoat that. those skills are very beneficial in the game and your lack of training them does nothing to help your character. your thieving level is not good either. i think you need to realise that the early levels of some skills are incredibly difficult and frustrating; but once you get past the early leveling the skills really come into their own and you realise how good they are. i think you should do monkey madness then train agility at ape atoll; seems like it would fit your personality; agility is very useful, so if you decide to train it; that would be a good thing. your crafting level is surprisingly decent; slayer is low considering your other stats. nice hunting and summoning lvls. the rest of your stats i'm not going to make any comments on; though the construction is decent enough. stats 6/10. i cant give you more than that with your poor herblore, rc, and theiving lvls. bank, is that a bank? 0.5/10. i actually look forward to following your progress.[/hide]
  2. the quest is hazeel cult, a member's quest.
  3. great. i'm glad you got your account back. i've read somewhere on jagex's forums but cant find it, where they've said they are planning to introduce a system where old marks would gradually be removed as time went on; with good behaviour; so that's another possible thing that may happen. good thing that got cleared up. you put too much effort into your character and you're too good a player to be banned for some nonsence. glad it worked out for you just hope you dont have any more problems like that again. about greater demons: do the quest watchtower and you get access to blue dragons and greater demons in that dungeon. there is 1 that spawns to the north near the exit. melee that i guess. choose a populated world for fast spawn. south of yanille. also: if you wanted another spot, have the crafting and fletch lvls you can take the things needed to craft/fletch and range greaters in the dungeon on entrana but you said you dont want to range... maybe you could mage the greaters, i use magic dart and it's pretty good for yanille caged greaters best thing about it is you just listen for dying sounds and can do other things while killing them like read forums etc.
  4. the z is used in the quest. it shows the order of the valves to turn; follow the z pattern and you can board the raft... they just changed it so it's more intuitive since it is a low lvl quest. irregardless of changes to the amulet, the evidence is mounting about the mahjarrat necromancer and varrock so more than sufficient evidence to conclude that there will be an update related to that...
  5. it's debateable what that means. i'd rather see a pmod come on and deny that they dont or cant recommend players to be pmods. they do have access whereas regular players do not. you do the math.
  6. one point i want to make is that so often people put down other people because they dont have a 99 stat or dont have "high lvls". i'm more impressed with someone that has all 60 stats or something similar, because I KNOW that the hardest leveling is from 1-60. you guys should know that too. it's true you have to get more xp from 70-99 but what is xp if you have better ways to train a skill(s) and advanced knowledge of the game.. i see a lot of unfair criticism from players with high lvls that forgot what it took to get those levels. probably more to say but i'll leave it at that. it's a browser based game. so having to pay attention isnt 100% required and there are other things to do while "playing". what's work to you is "fun" to others. i remember when i used to love smithing and mining. i loved training both skills and if you were to look for me ingame, i'd be doing 1 of the 2 90% of the time. that changed though, ;) now i dont train mining or smithing much because it feels like "work". of course, it used to be "fun". get my point? about the scientific approach and relaxed approach; i think most people use both... so kind of pointless to say that you identify more with 1 or the other. about people's goals, it makes sense to know what's available and what is needed to access other things that could affect the way you're training something.
  7. Read the part that's in bold :) so basically what you're saying is jagex hand pick(ed) people, once upon a time. now they just go by references from current mods. aint that special. yeah i always said, jagex doesnt have the time to "get to know" all these "potential" pmods and so i'm sure us regular players have the opportunity to "send in to them messages about players and their behaviour in the game". yeah right... which department would that be? billing? customer support? i think it's just too convenient for pmods to put the blame on "wbm's" making them the scapegoat for the unspoken fact that they're the ones doing the reporting and causing people to be muted/banned.
  8. i think pmods are a bunch of jerks. i dont care what they say in response to that. if you ask me i think the people that got those people banned were pmods. not your average joe player because your average joe player doesnt have priority reports/reporting, pmods do; and that IS probably what happened. of course they wouldnt admit it. i would rather see pmods warn someone; then, let it go and drop it. unless it's very serious. but i have NEVER seen that happen, the 1 time i've seen someone warned it was for language but it was clearly needed and these players were high lvled and the warning was probably said because it was obvious it needed to be said, with the pmod being there. many times i've seen pmods egg people on and play like a cat with a mouse knowing that they're going to report the person or mute the person and they sure did. pmods are a bunch of jerks and do very little for the game; since all the bases are covered with using your ignore system and these players could do the same thing they're doing without the crown. their effect on the game is more negative than positive. that's probably why jagex is adjusting their blackmark system, for mutes recently and for the gradual elimination of past marks, to makeup for all the idiotic black marks people have gotten due to stupid pmods. i for one, when i see a pmod around i dont say a thing. i dont talk to them or go to chats with pmods in them. seems to me a lot of the pmods are in it for the attention they get. and the type of person that reports people for stupid reasons. i dont think they do a good job picking the mods and i'll say that straight up. of course there are people that do deserve to be mods and their intentions are good but good pmods are the exception to the rule when it comes to pmods. as far as i'm concerned, i'll never see pmods as a good thing. the idea was maybe well-intentioned; but in practice it just leads to stupid abuses of power. and i know pmods will say they have checks and balances to keep mods in line and everything. imo i think that's a bunch of bull. because i know what i've seen from nearly every pmod jagex has picked. the sad thing is the people that really deserve to be punished arent and the one's that shouldnt be are; way too many cases of that. another thing i've seen is pmods make excuses like "hey, we're players too" and that's their "priority". fine that's cool; so they're selective about who and what they report sounds like a bunch of bull.... i've seen people make requests to pmods and largely they're ignored. so, yeah poor opressed pmods. not. in it for themselves and most of them are not good people neither kind nor knowledgeable.

  10. what i've got so far. i agree about the Im in, I game= I minigame could be roman numeral I. maybe the first minigame? which was? simulated udder- druid teams duel; (or) druids team duel; (or) druid team duels; teams in fist of guthix? parties swarm- primate wars? monkey madness minigame or one of the skins for new clan wars. Guaranteed slimes sing -team leaders using sign; (or) team leader using signs; not sure.
  11. thanks. yeah one of the main reasons i made this guide was i could use it myself. for lvl 2 clues i like to cut to the chase thieving the rocking out files. i know not everyone has done that quest but that's what i do for lvl 2 clues. mechnza the slayer master in canifis assigns many lvl 2 clue droppers so for lvl 2 clues i recommend getting assignments from him. there arent as many uri items needed for lvl 2 and lvl 3 clues as there are for lvl 1 clues; keep full snakeskin set or just hides for crafting them; and the other items arent hard to get. i may add a list for the lvl 2 uri items and lvl 3 uri items but no plans atm to do that. if i do and i probably will, i'll just list the items and best place to get them and add a picture of the items. but like i said, most of the items besides the snakeskin set are easy to get; since there's much fewer items; addy square shield, fire battlestaff, full blue dragonhide set, rune warhammer being the harder to get items... i guess check back and i may have added those sections. but no plans atm to do that, so wait and see i guess.
  12. [hide=Introduction]Ever felt like dropping everything you're doing and just doing treasure trails for awhile? for this method you will need at least 52 free bank spaces. this is the pro way of doing it. the more you become familiar with the clues and locations the faster you can finish each clue and get your reward. this trains your thieving and helps you to fill your costume room chest and you could also make money selling some or all of the items.[/hide] [hide=Method]train your thieving to at least 15. the ham hideout is located on the road between lumbridge and draynor near the area with all the spiders. 1st picklock the trapdoor. go to the east area by the fire and thieve the ham women in the ham hideout. your inventory should look similar to this. substitute teleports if you dont have or get multiple glory amulets. depending on your thieving level you should be able to thieve a lvl 1 clue scroll within 1-5-10 minutes. average for me 99 thieving is probably around 5 minutes. use the Related links at the top if you need to. tipit's treasure trail guide http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=treasure_trails.htm[/hide] [hide=pic of lvl 1 clue rewards][/hide] [hide=pic of lvl 1 uri clue items] uri items are a pain. the idea is to collect all of them ahead of time and all at once for each area. :) i'll be adding a pic of the complete set of items later. there are currently 32 of 52 items pictured.[/hide] [hide=al kharid stuff]al kharid steel plateskirt iron plateskirt bronze platelegs desert shirt buy the moulds in al kharid and make the jewelry. sapphire ring emerald ring gold ring sapphire necklace gold necklace a sapphire amulet unenchanted tiara[/hide] [hide=varrock stuff]varrock these are bought at horvic's iron platebody steel platebody studded body iron chainbody bronze chainbody lowe's range shop and ranging guild or (champ's guild for coif) leather chaps longbow oak shortbow studded leather chaps coif ranging guild or champ's guild or craft it or buy on ge hard leather body bought at range guild or crafted thessalia's clothing shop white apron leather gloves leather boots varrock sword shop Steel Longsword bronze dagger zaff's shop regular staff[/hide] [hide=gnome stronghold stuff]gnome stronghold 2nd floor northeast section green gnome hat green gnome boots green gnome top green gnome bottom cream gnome top blue gnome robe top turquoise gnome robe bottom[/hide] [hide=barbarian village]barbarian village peska's helmet shop bronze full helmet iron medium helm steel medium helm steel full helm iron full helm[/hide] [hide=odd annoying stuff]bronze 2h sword-buy in taverly 2h shop. iron warhammer- relekka skuldigrim sells these or smith it with 2 or 3 iron bars. ham robe bottom-thieve ham for it or take from your costume room. ham boots-thieve ham for it or take from your costume room. steel mace-mace shop in falador. HEALTHY VERSION 5 strawberries 1 banana 1 cup non-fat plain yogurt or flavoured 1 cup milk mix in blender. pour into glass. very good.[/hide]
  13. very nice. i like the slayer lvl and your bank is organised a lot like mine except for the 1st part. must be nice to have over 150 free spaces. edit: smoke diamond looks a lot like onyx. pretty good stats; espcially the melee 1's. grats on 100 combat. :
  14. nice baby dragon. dragons are cool arent they? :D i'm sure you will make good use of the familiars you can make, nice accomplishments.
  15. grats. i remember you getting 96 summoning before me and i was thinking how did he get that level so fast. and about 99 summoning it's a great accomplishment and a great skill and it sure is nice to have it maxed out. grats on your lvls. enjoy it. get a dragon pet. :)
  16. grats on the lvls. [hide=about training slayer for charms]i too think slayer is the way most people and the majority of runescapers will get their charms. but tbh, if i had 65 slayer when summoning came out i would train slayer too , but i already had 90+ slayer and for me running around competing for training spots just isnt fun... not that fiends are a cakewalk but i prefer them for the absolute best ratio of charms for lvling summoning in the game. fiends were the way to go for me because i already had high lvls and anyway... i actually like the idea of getting more charms!! while maxing slayer; after already having 99 summoning, and being able to make and use the best of the best slayer buddies/familiars. and tbh i just wanted to git 'er done. :) i did a little slayer too but i kind of forced myself to "get more charms later" by postponing maxing slayer because i like the idea of mass amounts of charms after 99 summoning. but for most people, i'm with you, i recommend people train slayer for charms if their slayer lvl is less than 90.[/hide]
  17. of the choices, cant believe i'm responding to this thread, santa suit seems most likely to be tucked away in a corner if you ask me. reindeer seems like a cool thing for f2pers or the icicle sword with a freeze special or something still it would have stats like an iron longsword. a candy cane cane i could see being highly prized by the people that seem to care a lot about appearance. i'm not sure what boots that look like presents would actually look like so i dont know about that. personally i'd like to see them bring back the christmas tree to varrock. funny to see the people digging around the tree though. where are you going to wear a santa suit and could you ask for a more non-blending costume to the game? i bet the fashion people will use items from the costume but not the whole thing. and all this is just fashion garbage. a costume isnt really something i'd want so i voted for the reindeer since f2p has no options for any pets atm. and that would be a first. and tbh i'd prefer they just surprise us instead of voting.
  18. i think for the people that are criticising it, they need to actually use these weapons/berserker necklace so then they can see that they're decent and compete well with the whip/fury and in some cases are better. i actually prefer the berserker with sword more than the whip/fury in a lot of situations. god swords and sara sword are overpriced currently imo. they're good weapons but their value does not equal what is being asked for in price. and just saying that price indicates value is not true. people pay a lot for status items because of their status and also they pay more when merchants manipulate prices. huge emphasis on merchants manipulating prices because it is widely done in runescape especially with high ticket status items. and tbh i could care less what some people think of something they've never even tried. my guess is these items arent favoured by merchants because they have a more difficult time making a profit off them. sad but true. and the zamorakian spear completely owns all other weapons for killing waterfiends but for status? probably doesnt compete well with other items. i'd rather try something to see if it works rather than get upset over something because i paid more for a less useful item.
  19. first of all, and this is important, the fact that runescape is or may be becoming more "kiddier" is no excuse or reason to treat people badly or badmouth younger players for no reason at all. i say give people a chance and young players can enjoy the game as much as any player. my sense is that as women that work for jagex come into the game they see a lot of questions and explanations needed and their "motherly instincts" take over pretty much and that's why i think most of these additions have been made. mod emilee i believe came up with the achievement diaries but i could be wrong about that. anyway, that's my take on it. i think a lot of stuff has been added simply because it's needed for many players. jagex does wierd stuff sometimes like the way you get a fish for a fishbowl. and you get 1000 people trying to figure out how to get a fish etc. and sometimes it just saves energy and time explaining how to get it rather than making it into some kind of puzzle. i would say the demographics for runescape have probably not changed much at all. still the same ages playing and of course we are getting older whereas the newest players starting out are where we were, not so long ago. but i kind of agree that the kiddy language jagex uses sometimes like the chaos elemental getting mad about a gallery picture that wasnt created by the sender or bob and "his friends" the sandwich lady and the wise old man. that kind of thing, but meh. i do look forward to a "mature" product that being mechscape and i hope it's good. sadly the loot and kill system was corrupted by jerks; so making up for that is difficult; but what's required is expertise. and as for runescape, seems to me that the content is geared towards mainstream family oriented type entertainment. and with their expansions into other languages, it kind of makes sense to keep things clean and family oriented.
  20. for lego luke: i dont know why people keep repeating wrong information. the potatoes in the warrior's guild are cheese potatoes; heal 16. you cant use them to make tuna potatoes which heal 22. about the guide: it's an ok guide i guess. but you dont need 28 bowls. 13 is fine. i use 2 knives; 1 for a placeholder. and sigmund in relekka sells potatoes; take money and 17 sacks. the hardest ingredient to get of course is butter but you could pay someone to make the butter maybe or make it yourself; churning cream is faster then milk. another thing i've noticed is if you "train" at a bank you could use the lumby chest to "train" and buy butter as you go. can you buy potatoes with butter on the ge? surprised if you could buy that many. but maybe you can. havent tried myself. and yes i'm sure these tuna potatoes would sell well at max price on the ge for bh'ers and gwd'ers.
  21. you could just highlight the url then hit the img button and it will automatically put the image brackets up. like this: if you have done the quest rocking out, it's not a bad teleport for getting fairly close to the customs officer; unlimited teleport and the restore run thing helps out after you've swam to karamja and been depleted of energy after leaving the rock. i'll probably use the teleport for collecting eyes of newt and for thieving the files upstairs at the rock prison. a good thing about the ring is it can be equipped with a glory and not take up any inventory space. another thing i thought of is quick banking for f2p fishers from karamja pier.
  22. edit: oh i guess it's a celestial globe. i'd like to have a scrying pool that looked like that though. people might be interested in this thread on the rsof. 15-16-335-57186924 [hide=list of bug fixes]Runescape HD Beta progress... quick find code: 15-16-335-57186924 Mod Nexus Jagex Mod 14-Jul-2008 18:01:30 Please find below a quick summary of the bugs we've fixed since the launch of High Detail. - Dig Site NPCs have had new chatheads applied - Female Canifis NPCs fight animation glitch has been fixed - Bridge shadows have been adjusted - Death animation of farmers has been improved - Black holes have been closed - Several roofs have been fixed - Various rendering issues on interfaces have been tweaked - Player using a kiln animation has been adjusted - A couple of Treasure Trail issues have been resolved - Hunting hats now look better whilst doing emotes - An unlit fire should now be unlit! - Ahrim the Blighted now dies without his skirt stretching - Many ladders and stairs that weren't working have been fixed - A huge number of chatheads and helm combinations now look correct - Colours on female God Wars clothing have been restored - POH banners now render properly - Coffins now open/close correctly - A bookcase was visible through the walls behind it - Female dragonhide was being stretched when doing emotes - An NPC's chathead and their actual head were appearing differently - Clipping issues on the Trouble Brewing stepping stones have been resolved - The Soul's Bane rift entrance has been improved - The Fullscreen toggle has been clarified - Trouble Brewing torches weren't providing any light - Wearing an Amulet of Glory and a larupia top now looks better - POH mounted Amulet of Glory now appears properly - Women with long hair and a hairband should look fine again - Master wands are now held correctly - Snowballs are back to normal - Symbols now render correctly on monks' robes - The Entrana glassblower is now more careful when making glass - Barbarians' clothing has been rectified - Players feet shouldn't appear to be under the floor - When players are knocked out they won't disappear briefly - The Rag and Bone Man's cooking pot has been sorted - The Mercenary Adventurer's arms have been reattached to his body - You can no longer walk underwater! - Various armours have been adjusted to look better when worn - The red pirate bandana and eyepatch should stay red while you wear them - Tiaras are more realistic while worn by a player - Aggie's cauldron was causing a stir; this is now sorted - Red salamander traps near the the ZMI Altar have been restored - Gold panning bowls from the Dig Site are now held correctly - Various new textures have been adjusted or modified to look more realistic - The Mime mask is now displayed correctly in all circumstances - Certain interfaces now resize correctly in all resolutions - The Cooking skillcape animation has been restored to its former glory - Tall weaponry no longer sticks through the tops of short buildings - An Agility shortcut has been added to the west of Draynor Manor - Fishing animation issues have been resolved - Spiderwebs on cupboards look better - Saradomin staffs are now held in the correct position - Rats in Evil Dave's basement no longer run around in circles - Lava battlestaves are now easier to distinguish from air battlestaves. - Trims on skillcapes have been fixed - A floating statue and a tree have been grounded - Magic Slayer dart skill guide information has been corrected - Exiting the God Wars Dungeon via the rope should be easier - Magic logs have regained their sparkle (again) - Quick Chat has been adjusted to function correctly in fullscreen - Keldagrim is now better lit - The Robin Hood hat has been made bigger, due to player feedback - Runite rocks have been placed where they were before, below the Lava Maze - A Penguin in the Varrock Museum should now look right - Some skeletons now respawn at the correct rate when they die - Songs should now correctly resume after various jingles - Cows now make a sound when they die and hit the floor - A few map icons have been added that were missing - The animation for female characters when fletching has been adjusted - Managing Miscellania should now be easier as the buttons are easier to click on[/hide]
  23. 1 thing i've noticed is on the ingame map the areas that are to be updated/expanded are in a checkerboard pattern now; no longer black; making a clear distinction between other parts of the map that arent due for updates/expansion. some very interesting spots and large areas due for updates. would be cool if they put expected dates for release on them like the did with castle wars. i've said before if you look at the jagex timeline for skill development in the diary it's pretty clear they would be working on a skill or skills at least in development. they've already mentioned updates to clan wars, changes to random events, this is an interesting thread written by mod mark and mod ash on the rsof 16-17-315-56584750 about clan wars updates and item lending and random events. i would expect a state of play to be released soon probably next month or on the off week with no game update.
  24. i dont know all his skills or what abilities he has to make money. I'm saying, working for others and gaining 0 xp for his own skills IS something he should consider before doing something like that. as for time management; people do what works best for them. with the number of training options the only thing holding people back sometimes is limited knowledge and, as you said, some options only become available at the higher levels. as for the time management thing that argument could be made but basically it comes down to how you want to play the game; what you enjoy and what your particular interests are and are those interests furthered by a particular training method or action? there are multiple factors that could affect particular training methods and those factors would negate or affirm them as good or not so good or bad training methods. the bottom line is if he wisely spends his time furthering his own character in the long run he will benefit more than if he were to further someone elses. the argument could be made that he is benefitting his own character by gaining gp but again ask any high lvl and they will tell you gaining gp is not difficult and spending time working on your own character is what they do. IF he has other ways to make money and at the same time develop his character my opinion is that he do should do that rather than spend his time working for someone else and gaining zero xp on his own character. you could argue that the time he spent working for someone else he gained gp and he could use that gp to advance his character. that's true but IF he can gain the same or more gp, or enough gp to make it worthwhile, while training his own character; the answer is obvious what he should do. a win win situation and there ARE ways to make good money, even at the lower levels, which do both; gain money and levels. any lvl 3 off tutorial island could make the same amount of money as him if they are using this same method of making cash. are you saying the skills HE HAS developed to this point in the game are worthless? and that he should do the same thing as a lvl 3 off tutorial island to make cash. i think not.
  25. bla bla bla. you come on here and insult people you dont even know. i explained it; work for other people and get 0 xp (tanning hides, running laws, nats, that kind of thing) OR train your own skills and make money doing it. ie runecraft, combat, etc. you cant do both at the same time. and fwiw i already said powercrafting dhides is overrated and so are rich lazy people. :P buying supplies to train skills is good if you know what to buy and what not to buy. and as for what i think of powertraining with dhides; i think it's overrated, so tanning hides isnt really an issue here. and IF i were to train with dhides i'm sure with the infinite run from oog'log some super energy pots, a pack yak some needle and some thread and maybe some alchs; i could tan and craft them fairly fast. :) and the time is money argument is whatever if you get burnt out just trying to max the money you make per time spent. take some time to think outside the box.
