wind power is great, if you have the environmental conditions to support it. you dont dam up a small creek to get hydroelectric power, do you? wind power works the same way. where it's feasible, wind and hydroelectric power are great options, until you get the EPA breathing down your neck for destroying the river ecosytem by damming, or contributing to soil erosion by removing trees to harness wind power. leave it to liberals to be hypocritical by advocating "clean energy" and then trying to shut down legitimate clean energy plants. :roll:

Well, the first race is done with, and Kimi Raikkonen struck first. What are your thoughts on the Austrailian GP and predictions for World Champion? Personally, I think Kimi will take the Championship this year, the Ferraris are really strong, and if it weren't for Mclaren's reliability issues last year, I think he could have had it. Ferrari and Mclaren will both do very well this year, but Renault got shafted. I will be very suprised if Fisichella will be able to step up and lead that team like Alonso did. Honda has got to be kicking themselves right now, I mean what were they thinking? They spent millions of dollars just to make thier cars slower, and give thier old fast cars to Super Aguri #-o Also, WTH was up with Christjian Albers? Why would you admit that you were busy playing with your earphones and forgot to finish the turn? How did he get to be an F1 driver??? :wall:

this is exactly what i've been saying all along. hydrogen and solar power have come a long way since the initial idea, but they are still ridiculously expensive and inefficient. solar power has all put peaked, it takes millions of dollars in research to produce a negligible gain in efficiency, and unless someone finds a huge breakthrough in hydrogen power very soon, it's heading for the same fate as solar energy - doomed to be a very expensive solution to a problem that people have blown way out of proportion.

if it comes down to hilary vs anyone, i'd vote for anyone. if it comes down to obama vs giuliani, that would be a tough one. if it comes down to mccain vs anyone, i'd probably vote for mccain. basically as long as hilary or gore is not the next president we're doing ok.

this thread is going nowhere because christians(especially catholics) are too stubborn to even hypothetically argue that this might possibly be jesus' tomb and that the bible is anything other than the absolute truth. i know, because i was raised a catholic. to me, however, the bible is just a bunch of stories that describe how a person should lead thier life to be a morally good person and that "god" and "heaven" are just mythical things used to describe what would happen should everyone follow this way of life. sometimes people take things way too literally....

wildy luring is one thing. i dont know who to feel worse for, the person who has a black enough heart to actually try this, or the player stupid enough to fall for it. :-k dag king luring falls under the "barrows tele-othering" in my opinion. you know its dangerous when you go to kill them, they are some of the strongest opponents in the game, and you should be well prepared to deal with any threat, including possibly lurers. however, the luring that involves taking an inexperienced player to a dangerous place that gives no warning, such as taking low level players to the dark wizards below varrock, should be considered item scamming

party hats = skill capes? i dont think so. a skill cape means you spent hundreds of hours leveling a useful skill, whereas you could have spend those hours merchanting to get the money to buy a party hat with absolutely no skills at all. as far as the buyable skills go, i guess you could compare them to partyhat prices, but still, after you're done, you actually have a 99 skill to make that money back with later(even firemaking, if you count shade burning, maybe not so much with construction). but as for your "theory," id say its pretty much common knowledge that people are putting more value on the skillcapes now than just having a lot of wealth, which is what a partyhat shows. i guess you could say the construction cape is comparable to a party hat, but for other skills, i'd say no. to me, i'd rather have a few skill capes than a set of partyhats.

you can't compare racism to homophobia(which is a horrible word, i dont know anyone who actually FEARS gay people, they just hate them). i've yet to see solid evidence that being gay is a genetic condition(ie, you're born with it). also, you can't really explain bisexuality with the whole "you're born with it" theory. if you have solid proof of this, then sure, go ahead and prove me wrong, but unless it's really good, i probably wont believe it. that said, im happily straight, and my girlfriend is too. gays dont bother me, if that's what you wanna do, then by all means, do it, just dont let me see it. however, i dont think that gay couples should be allowed to raise children, if only for the child's sake. man i would hate to be the child of a gay couple. ugh, talk about nightmares for the rest of your life.

i always thought that the slayer xp you got was the amount of damage you dealt to the monster(even if you didnt kill it). so if the monster heals 1 hp while you're killing it, that means you get 1 extra slayer xp? althought i never really kept track, so i could very well be wrong.

didnt they tour with thrice? i dont remember them being "good" at anything. Brand New? I always thought they were pretty popular, and they've been my favorite band for a long time, but when I try to tell people about them, they always respond, "brand new what?" other than that, some good local bands from STL are: So They Say Nothing Still Adair Ludo all pretty much unknown as of now

i would suggest Brand New. "The Archer's Bows are Broken" or "Jesus Christ" are both incredibly well-written songs, although I'm pretty much biased because they are my favorite band. other than that, Senses Fail's new album is a huge improvement from "Let it Enfold You", and anything from Midtown's "Forget What You Know" CD is solid work also.
