1. Absolutely fantastic! Well done Istatok. I honestly beleive someone should mail (physical mail, not e-mail) this to Jagex. Perhaps then they'll understand that F2P is in itsself, a wonder and diverse community with hundreds of dedicated players.
2. I played as pure F2P for well over a year before I got P2P. Ever since I've gotten a few months every year but my heart has always been in F2P. I've put well over $100 into Jagex's pockets but suddenly, because I'm not paying at this very moment, it's as if I don't exist.
3. IMO, 200M mining and agility in 09 > 400M agility in 2011. Also, grats Suomi on 200M cannoning.
4. Not quite sure how that would work from a technical point of view, but it would have to be foolproof. In the past, programs of this sort, which do not interact with the game itself, have registered as macro programs and led to players being banned without having broken a rule in the first place. Giggity. Now we're talking. ;). As long as it doesn't interact with the game applet, how would people get banned for using it? Jagex would have no way of knowing unless they breached privacy. *NUDGE*. Kinda like people using my DGSweeper... Jagex can't tell. What momma don't know can't hurt her. The problem is that, if this highscore table was public, Jagex needs only to read the names straight off the highscore table and ban 'em all (that is, if they're that determined to destroy F2P).
5. I assume he's looking for things that he can use with dominion gloves. Unless I misinterpret how they work...
6. I did it to help the community. When I was asked to join (5+ years ago), there was a decent number of mods, but not too many. We all enjoyed our duties ingame as it mostly was interacting with players on a personal level to make the game a better place. Through the years policies have changed, Jagex business models have changed, and most importantly; Jagex's definition of what Mods are has changed. We've gone from being a way to help the community to nothing more than spambot muters and event planners. If I was asked now, I would decline. But hey, I've put this much time in, might as well see it through to the end eh?

8. 'Now you must have logged on in the last two months to see yourself on the highscore table.' There you go Jagex, I just fixed the inactivity problem without alienating half of your users. You're welcome. I have been a member many times in the past (probably a year total spread over like six), but I keep coming back to F2P because it feels more homely. While I don't play to gain ranks, it is nice to see how I stack up against others in the game. Now I can't do that when I'm F2P, even though I've put nearly $100 into this game?
9. That's what it's made to look like, but Jagex has said they'd NEVER send you e-mails with links. Chances are that this is just another one of the fake legit e-mails.

11. That was a little too quick. Me thinks some cookies and/or skittles have exchanged hands  Congrats Killerred!
12.
~4:20 Q - 'do you think MMG was serious when he said he'd offer a bot maker a job if they got it back in under 28 days' A - 'at that time he was probably trolling but I think that if the ability and trustworthyness is there perhaps something could come of this' ~5:00 Q - 'whats up with you and Jagex?' A - 'I was at runefest and have discussed certain things with them. Expect to hear more shortly'
~6:20 Q - 'Jacmob, you are going to be taking some initiative in helping Jagex remove bots. Do you think you can remove them completely?' A - 'I've had a few discussions with the people at Jagex and I don't want to get into too much detail with that. Yet. But if the question is if you were employed by jagex to remove bots, could you, the answer is yes absolutely.' Essentially, it has been eluded to HEAVILY by Jacmob as well as others who are close to the situation, but nothing is 'confirmed'.
13. Jagex rewrote a lot of code in a very sneaky way that wrecked all reflection/injection bots. It is possible to remake them*, but for now RS is 99% bot free (only bots really left are auto clickers like alch bots) so now is a good time to come back. * The creator of a bot client already created a working bot post-nuke, he showed it to Jagex, and they hired him to work on the anti-bot team**. So it is possible for bot makers to get around it, but most of them are not nearly half as smart as this certain guy and with him working on the other side, I expect reflection/injection bots to be out of the game for a significant time if not forever (most new bot makers are looking at screen scrapers). ** This isn't confirmed, but he has hinted at it heavily.
14. Wait, how did you know they were bots? I have seen this happen a bit too, and it's pretty easy to tell a bot when their name is 'hygjrogm tyhf'. My expectation is that goldfarming companies are logging into all of their accounts to take stock of how many they have left after the massive number of bans last week. I went looking around a few goldselling sites to see if there were any signs of slowing down. A couple of them had no mention of the bot nuke, and a few actually said that they never used bots and were always human controlled. While I don't really believe that, it made me think; if gold farmers have to move from bots to real humans, will the price of gold jump back up? That last time that the goldfarming army was 'human' in any noticeable capacity would be back in 06/07 before free trade, and that's when gold was $5/M.
15. Wow, those things pack a punch. I assume you can use them on boss monsters too? Welp, another item added to the requirements for nex, corp etc. When the nip interface is open you can read "The Dreadnip will attack most everything except players and boss monsters".
16. Looks like the robots will be back shortly (3 days). We all knew this was coming, but this soon?
17. From the 98% figure Jagex gave (they seem pretty fixated on that number so they must know what type of bots are in what sort of numbers) and an average pre-nuke population of ~200,000 we can figure that there are still ~2000 playing at any given moment now. The majority of those are simple auto-clickers (mostly alch bots as the mouse doesn't have to move) but some of them are color-bots.
18. Somewhere secret obviously :P [hide]AFAIK you enter by talking to the Lumbridge Sage[/hide] wonder where it is on the world map http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/moderators#tools_pmod In the picture you can see that it`s just a random room, completely secluded from anything else.
19. Sounds like the bot makers have found a way around the clusterfutter. Now we'll just have to wait and see what else Jagex has up their sleeves....
20. PopSci had an article this week about the engineering behind the rebels and there are 2 quotes that stood out to me Essentially, 42 years of oppression can turn good people into war machines in order to secure their future. As with anything, most people know when to draw the line, but all it takes is 1 person with a 9mm who has a deep hatred for a man who caused so much pain for millions of people to take it too far. Hopefully now they can put this behind them and start to rebuild their country. They are rich enough in oil that, given a good and fair government, they have the potential to because a very strong, developed country.
21. On pace for 7.7 MILLION gold farming bots banned by Sunday! Holy Cabbage Batman!
