  1. Back when I was working on smithing, I averaged 350 ingots per hour which gives the following exp/h rates; Ingot ----- exp/h iron i ------ 40k iron ii ------ 75k iron iii ----- 90k steel i ----- 50k steel ii ---- 90k steel iii --- 125k
  2. Oh look, this thread again.... In all honesty, I don't beleive any -real- player will say they're for bots. They may enjoy cheaper buyables and such, but anyone who thinks about it for a second will realize that there is FAR more harm that comes from bots than the 'good' of cheaper resources. Not to mention that we're very close to surpassing the tipping point where the sheer number of bots will destroy the game. Most people will say it's already destroyed because of what Jagex is doing, but there is still hope, but we can't hold on forever and if the bot:human ratio goes up even a little more, I forsee an exedus of massive proportions.
  3. Which is why Jagex tries to go after the bot makers directly. But it's pretty clear with what happened with [popular old bot maker] that all they need to do is make a new site and rename a few scripts until they can go on as usual.

Wow Skeptic, those all look so good! I just ate and now I'm hungry again from reading / watching all those recipies. :wall:

That's what I said too, "I'll get a membership once I settle in".....then midterm studying....then finals studying.....then midterm studying....you get the point. If you even so much as think about getting a membership, do it NOW so you get the 'wasted money' feeling if you don't do it. Living on campus I never really got out enough to constitue 'activity', mostly because it was below freezing for 7 of the 8 months of the school year. Oh, and if anyone is wondering how I cut my tenderloin, it's pretty much like this video, except I throw the ends into a slow cooker with some veggies and make a roast of them. And maybe a little more stewing beef / stirfry chunks. Delishious cuts of meat, on a student's budget.

And this, boys and girls, is why I gained 40 lbs in my first year of university. I have lost it all, but I still have physical side effects from all that weight gained in such a short time. Unlimited 'free' meals + tasty options + mass produced food = freshman 15 without even noticing it. Speaking of school, I'm headed back to school in a couple weeks and I need meal ideas. Last year I lived on noodles, meat and sauce and I need some more ideas as to what to make. The ingredients that I always have on hand are; Ground beef Beef tenderloin (usually make a few 'steaks', some beef chunks for stew etc, and a roast) Chicken breasts Pork tenderloin (same as beef tenderloin as for what I make of it) Pasta of all sorts Rice A potatoe or two I'm open to buying some ingredients, but I am a student so money is tight. Oh, and I also have a cheap spice rack with ~20 of the basic spices. Thanks
  7. I don't think it's good business routinely alienating your core fan base. The problem is that more and more of thier 'core fan base' are robots playing 24/7. The shifts that Jagex have made have undoubtedly made some players angry and quit, but the shifts also made way for hundreds of thousands more 'players' (bots) to give their money to Jagex. It's good business* to tick off 10 loyal customers if doing so leads to 100 more mindless customers coming to fill their shoes. *Good in financial terms, which is all they investers care about, not PR. Until there just arn't enough real players left for the bots to be profitable. In which case there will then be a mass exodus and jagex loses alot of cash all at once and company fails. *Andrew builds up RS to be super awesome* *sells Jagex for tens of millions* *investers make dumb decisions and everyone quits* *Andrew buys back Jagex for pennies on the dollar* ?????? Profit

  9. If you're picking them up (and assuming money isn't too tight) use mith. If you're leaving them, bronze or iron.
  10. Is that dragontooth island? From the look of the minimap, I'd say it's the Demonheim resource dungeon.
  11. Gem bag isn't worth it, unless you have a slayer task that drops a lot of gems but most of the time, even that's not worth it. Something that costs nearly the same but is more useful would be the coal bag. It's really usefull if you're mining coal or smithing. EDIT: I forgot that gems are dropped more often since the RoW update (haven't been p2p in forever). In that case, yes it's worth it.

If you don't mind me asking, where do you plan on moving to? It is very dependant on that. It's like the difference between moving to NYC or the middle of Texas.
  13. A few months ago, I would have told you to do flesh crawlers in the SoS, but the bots there are just insane now. Once you get to 70+ ice giants should be a good idea with mith arrows. So suffer through the bots in the sos for a few levels then do ice giants? Alright, thanks Or, I guess you could just go straight to ice giants. Needless to say you won't get super great exp/h, but as far as I know, there aren't ice giant bots. At least not many.

  15. Congrats folks! Try to to destroy the forums :shades:
  16. One should definitly be one of the original JMods (preferably a Gower brother), and a content developer as the second (Chris L would be good as other have said).
  17. Exactly. Making unfs is 0 exp. All of the experience comes from cleaning the herbs and converting the unfs to finished potions. Just a note: much of the time the unf pots cost more than the herb + vial. Much of the time it's worth it to buy the unfs and take the time saved and go make money, but there are some where it's more worth it to make the unfs yourself (of course, this all depends on what you deem 'good' income per hour). Not yet. Usually they announce it 2-4 weeks before the actual BXPW. Assuming it will be the first weekend in Sept (as per the pattern) they will likely announce it within the next 2 weeks.
  18. I'm not entirely sure what you mean with the second option, but the best way to do it would be to make the (unf)s now and then add the secondaries durring the BXPW.
  19. In the top 2 corners you can see 2 of the new GE 'stalls' (iirc they said there'd be 3). If they both have bankers (which they better), you could just burn from the east to west GE stalls, then bank, and backburn to the east one again.
  20. Yes, though I don't see too many around.
  21. Congrats to you three! I'm sure you'll do great!
  22. I have heard that you can still make 1M+/h with what you have and a half decent world, but I've never been there, so I can't say for sure.
  23. IIRC they release the date of the BXPW ~3 weeks before. This could be to let the BTS not be overshadowed, or to prevent people from intentionally getting two 2.7x-multipliers by letting their P2P lapse durring the weekend. Also, looks like a great month.
  24. The rule is pretty clear that you not only can't interact between your multiple accounts, but are not allowed to log in on both accounts at the same time, thus assisting your other account is against the rules twice for the same rule.
  25. The BXPW's have taken place; March 2010 Sept 2010 March 2011 So assuming the one-per-six-month schedule, It'll be September long weekend (first weekend in September). EDIT: Ninja'd
