  1. It was an interesting game to say the least. Hopefully that's behind Pavelec now and we can get some half decent goaltending this roadtrip.
  2. A lot of people were expecting a massive ban along side the nuke. When that didn't happen, bots that had not already dumped their goods still had a chance to, and the hoarders who expected a lot of resources to disappear saw this, and dumped. I'm taking full advantage of this and buying up resources now for far cheaper than they were even with bots. If the nuke works, the resources will rise up plenty once the excess is removed from the economy by skillers but that'll be more gradual.
  3. I wouldn't have. I would have left it and reported it to Jagex like a responsible person. I am the 1%.
  4. Cooking. Most of the time I just go into the fridge, pull stuff out and start mixing it together. It's such a wonderful feeling when it's all done and it is absolutely fantastic.
  5. They just keep spawning! Someone needs to teach the admins the virtues of mod-stinence. Congrats Ellac!
  6. To quote myself: Essentially, 'clusterfuster' wasn't just a cute codename. I don't know anything about programming so I don't know for sure, but from what I understand, they took everything in the client, dumped it all into one giant mess and only Jagex knows how to decifer it.
  7. Those were most likely accounts that had already been reported for macroing but were in the queue between the bot detection program and the JMod that presses the manual 'ban button'. I've seen a few of my levels go up a bit (most <100) and plenty fall but that's normal.
  8. Found this on a bot website, looks like Jagex actually did something quite substantial. I doubt this will keep them away forever, but it'll take a LOT of resources to get around (if I understand what they're saying); [spoiler=Here]
  9. Found this on a bot website, looks like Jagex actually did something quite substantial. I'll leave this here anyway. [spoiler=Here]
  10. Jagex never said there would be 1.5M bans going along with this. They said that they had recently banned 1.5M bots. All this does is prevent bots from continuing to bot. Doesn't ban them. Then every bot they've "banned" must've been an F2P noob account. That is, if they actually banned any accounts for botting. What about the high level botted accounts in P2P? They're not going to ban them? Well, they released the program that stops bots from working as an update. Most bots are usually down after an update anyways, so naturally there aren't going to be any on for them to ban. And really, most of the ex-bots probably won't be banned, because if the botting program doesn't work, they're not going to log on. So unless some moron tries to use his old, broken bot, then you aren't going to go up in ranks without gaining XP due to this. Just for the sake of asking then what is, essentially, a stupid question: why impose anti-botting measures if you're not going to permanently ban the bots? Keep the botters playing. If you had an account that was botted to say 2300 total you'd probably keep playing afterwards. If that account was perm banned and you had to start over from scratch, you'd most likely quit. This way Jagex keeps the old botters, but forces them to play legitly. Only ones that won't come back would be the massive volumes of goldfarmers. They may come back in smaller numbers, but since they have to be manually controlled, far less can be run at once.
  11. It's in your options tab. I was scared when I logged on and didn't have it, thinking I was de-modded. But alas I just had to turn it on.

  13. I am VERY surprised they game right click report to (non-mod) players. I guess we'll see how it turns out. That would have been WAY more useful pre-nuke for getting rid of bots.
  14. Try manually picking the world, there are people online so it should be working. Perhaps only 1/2 the worlds are online and the game's trying to put you in a offline one.
  15. Quite honestly, freeing up F2P from bots is all I need. As of now, it's near imposable to do any sort of meaningful resource gathering skilling. I was working on a F2P skill money-making guide at the end of 2010 but as soon as FT/W returned, I essentially gave up on it because there's no way anyone could use the info I found in any sort of meaningful way unless they used foreign language servers. Maybe now I'll get back to that.
  16. If bot-nuke day succeeds expect a huge rise in raw materials. They're already rising and that's with all of the goldfarmers dumping thier stocks. Removing all injection and reflection bots will essentially remove a good 90%* of the raw material gatherers from existance. Eventually players will move to fill in the demand, but with other forms of moneymaking like boss hunting currently being so much more gp/h than gathering, expect a decent rise before significant numbers of players move to gathering. If the bot nuke day fails, well... every merchant will dump their stocks and prices will plummit. Here's a visual representation of what I see happening. Blue = up to tomorrow Red = if bot nuke fails Green = if bot nuke succeeds Purple = bot nuke succeeds for a while, until bot makers find a way around it (this in my opinion is the most likely situation)
  17. The whole 'they'd do it to me so it's okay if I do it to them' mentality is what's wrong with society these days. If people would just stop trying to screw each other over and actually attempt to make the community a better place, we may actually find that people as a whole are not that bad.
  18. Thats an interesting story that I find to be quite engaging. From Mod Mark: Hi whats your pass? Oh hey Mark! Nice to talk to you again. I'm not sure why you need my password, but it's ..... hey wait ....
  19. I read about this first in the Mod forums and was a little concerned, but once I saw a picture I knew I wouldn't get caught, but I'm sure someone will. I also know Jagex is aware of this and are looking into it.
  20. Yes, apparently the first rapture was a "silent" one, and the real "fire and brimstone" one is tomorrow. Now curious about how a 'silent' rapture works. As far as I understand, instead of taking the souls of the worthy to Heaven on May 21 and destroying the world on Oct 21, Camping claims that God decided to just do it all in one fell swoop with May 21 as the 'official cutoff' to be deemed worthy.
  21. First, this belongs here. Now onto your statement, I assume you were superheating iron ore? And you used your XP counter to tell you how much exp you were getting? The Superheat spell gives you 53xp in magic as well as the appropriate xp in smithing for the bar you made. So if you are superheating iron you will get 53 magic xp and 12.5 smithing xp per cast. That gives you the 65.5 xp total that your tracker was telling you (it only shows xp per action, it doesn't differentiate between which skill it was in).
  22. I dig the bottom part of her better than the top. You guys heard Duff, it's winter, put some warm clothes on them girls!
  23. He makes a good point, except I believe the Yemenese Government has given the US permission to hunt terrorists within it's borders. Oh, I was not aware that they were given permission to hunt in Yemen. If that's the case then I don't think the USA did anything 'wrong' in terms of international diplomacy (killing of one of it's own civilians is another matter of it's own). While TIF was down, an interesting story surfaced out of the USA where Iran allegedly attempted to assasinate the Saudi ambassador. One US official was quoted as saying: So IF the USA didn't have Yemen's permission to kill al-Awlaki, then they just became the biggest hippocrites in the world. Full story here.
  24. This is about all I've heard since the actual 'discovery'. Essentially, some physicists say that if neutrinos would have gone faster than c, they would have shed energy, in the form of other subatomic particles, until they slowed down to c. http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2011-10/physicists-say-speed-light-breaking-neutrinos-wouldve-lost-their-energy-along-way
