What's a good way to ask a girl on a first date? I've known her for ~3 weeks and she's pretty cool (met quite a while before, as we had some mutual friends). I know she's single but I don't know if she's looking to change that (she's a straight A+ student who cares a little too much about school). We've only really 'hung out' once for an extended period of time and we didn't really 'hit it off' but there was never really any awkward moments (which are a dime a dozen with me) and the conversation was natural. All my life I've been the guy who says 'wait and see' and that usually just leads to the good ones being taken first. I was planning on using the 'wait and see' tactic with her and hope for some sort of sign that she's at least a little interested, but if anyone has some great tips, that'd be great. And for the record, we're both 3rd year university students.

I fixed that for ya. Yes, we all know that the 'game is going downhill' in terms of community, updates, and overall player feelings towards it*, but you didn't offer any proof of that. All you have given proof of is the fact that less and less people are searching for RS on places like Google. I could show you player volume numbers for the last few years (it's in a thread from a monthish back) that shows this game is stronger than ever. Neither of these is definite proof of the true state of the entire game, only aspects of it. If you want that proof, you're going to have to break into Jagex HQ and steal their records because they don't give out detailed analysis of 'state of play' though I'm sure they do have them. *all three of these are debatable depending on playing style and personal preference. I just 'averaged' the general feelings I get from TIF and in-game.

Thanks for the ideas. Agility its self will probably take me too long to be able to get 80 summoning with those methods. I guess I'll just have to go back to F2P without all 80+.

My current goal is all skills 80+ (with 2M+ exp). All I have left are Agility (75) which I'm doing at ape atoll, runecrafting (75) which I'm either doing via Grahhk, or in F2P, and summoning (77). One of my many quirks is that I like to keep all of my stats even 5's and 10's. But there's a problem, I'm currently 8k from 91 HP (or constitution for you newbies) and really don't want to level it on my way to 80 summining. I have 0 charms in my bank as of now and need 500,000 exp to get my goal of 2M+ exp. Is there any way to get this exp without leveling my HP that won't take forever (I forsee agility taking a lot of my P2P time)? I have very few quests done, so things like WGS lamps are out of the question. Cannoning may work, but will I be able to get enough charms before I level range? EDIT: Forgot to mention that I have 2 weeks of P2P left and probably won't be getting it back for a while.

You can build a gilded altar at level 69 if you use the construction boosting tea (from teak shelves (2)) as well as the crystal saw (from The Path of Glouphrie). Just a side note: If you're planning on training construction just for the use of a gilded altar, you may want to think about just using another person's house. World 31 has a lot of people who offer free gilded altars at the Yannille portal. This would save you several mill in construction leveling costs as well as the cost to make the altar which iirc is ~2M with burners. Don't get me wrong, construction is a nice skill to get high in, but if you have to break the bank just to get an altar and can't buy any bones to use on it, it's a little useless.

I don't think Jagex is trying to 'kill' RS per se, but they have no problem if it dies after they suck as much money out of it as they can in the process. Jagex is now owned by investors and not gamers. They have no concern whether or not someone has put 10 hours or 1000 hours into the game, so long as those hours were spent throwing pennies into the Jagex coffers. Even if 99% of the 'players' are bots, Jagex won't care. Hey, at least robots can't complain every time there's an update... until someone writes a RSOF bot :rolleyes: Note: When I say Jagex, I mean the owners and not the employees. I know for a fact that many JMods have a strong connection to this games past and I'm sure they want it to keep going. However, the owners are the ones who make decisions about whether or not to suck every last penny out of players as the game dies, or to make it into a long term game with slim profit margins.

This happened on my floor (no, it wasn`t me) when I was in the dorms, and lets just say that the situation got super awkward for EVERYONE after that. Even though we were the `party floor`the situation just got weird. As far as I can recall, one of the people even moved to another floor in the second term.

The old memory card device or card system Entropia Universe use would be good, but cost. Maybe it could be free with a year/or two of membership subscription (a membership incentive they might want to try, or pay for it). Jagex initially dismissed the security dongle because people dismissed the extra bank space incentive as RWT'ing. Maybe with the massive increase in hackings, and Jagex's new leadership, and a newfound thrist for money will convince Jagex to start selling these. If it was anything under $20, I would probably buy one.

I'll hold onto anyone's GP if you want to quit, and I'll even give 5% interest per year if you ever come back :shades: In all seriousness though, I don't see myself quitting all out for a while. My current play 'schedule' is to usually take a break durring summer for work / sports / social life, and then come back and play during the school months. If I get bored, I get a month of members here and there. This keeps me interested enough in playing without burning out. While I've been VERY disapointed in the dirrection Jagex has been moving this game, I will keep playing my own way (without RaF bonuses, not resorting to botting) and even though my ranks on the highscores are disapearing, I can play knowing I enjoyed myself.

Mods are told (not just encouraged) that we are players first, mods second. Any time Jagex pulls a Mod out of playing the game to do Modly duties, it goes againt what they told us in the first place. I have no problem helping, but being told when I have to patrol a thread would make me quit right there. As for resigning, people resign all the time. I can't post numbers / reasons, but it's certainly not uncommon.

Several servers went offline an hour(ish) ago and my account is stuck in W99 (1 hour after I got P2P <_< ). EDIT: Servers are back online and I can log in now. Try logging in again. If you still can't get online, then you have a problem. EDIT AGAIN: I was rolled back to a few minutes before the server crash, so if anyone was doing something dangerous shortly before the crash, be prepared to log in in danger again. One person I talked to said he was at the bank when the servers crashed, but when he got back online he was back at skele wyvrens.

I think they're dull blue. Not sure though. Yeah, they're a blueish / grey. They used to be BRIGHT blue (I often had complete strangers come up to me and saying my eyes were freakishly blue) but then they got grey and dull when I started university (went from spending all day playing sports and being outside to spending all day staring at a computer screen and being inside my 10x10 res room in first year).

Jagex is always banning a lot of bots. The problem is that 'a lot' isn't even scratching the surface of the problem.

From what I read in the '200M exp in all skills' thread, yes. But I'm not 100% sure.

No. You don't get bonus exp for 'one-off' experience gains like tokens, tickets, effigies, lamps etc.

You can also chop trees with an adze for free FM exp. EDIT: Just saw you're only 85 FM.

Honestly, my opinion is that most people voted for Jack rather than the NDP. He just had something about him that made you want to like him. None of the other leaders really have that which is probably why the NDP jumped so much in the last election. So unless they find someone with that certain je ne sais pas, the NDP won't be nearly the same without him.
