Also, on some (or is it all) agility courses, you take less damage from a standard fall if your health is below 50%, so the cake eaters can keep their health level close to ideal by eating little and often.

Other than buying armour and weapons, self sufficient all the way... my main, my low level test guy and my almost pure mage. I also have a preference for non-fish cooking, for that extra HP healing at lower cooking level, but fish'n'cook for levels and a bankful of recovery food - though my other recovery trick is to kill & cook a few giant rats, chickens or anything else, rather than eat the good stuff.

Integrated graphix and the amd 64 processors
Doomster replied to bob2001's topic in Tech and Computers
There WAS a generation of onboard graphics motherboards (in the PCI to AGP era) that did NOT carry an AGP slot - a mistake not often repeated, other by companies like DELL, who saved a few cents by having a custom motherboard that was not fitted with an AGP slot - it could have had one, but it just wasn't fitted with the slot ... empty space on the board for it, chipset supported an all! The other thing to decide if you must have support for now, is SLI (Nvidia) or Crossfire (ATI) - the ability to link two graphics cards for increased performance. Unless the motherboard supports it, you can't, but it seems to be a way to sell two very expensive cards instead of just one, to all the people who MUST be at the top of the benchmarks -
For P2P, there's the Tzhaar area bank. If any P2P people have not yet done pirates treasure, try to bank the rum there and take it out at Draynor? As for a bank on Karamja, I DON'T WANT ONE, as it would unbalance the least busy gold mining spot in F2P. Port Sarim would be a better place for a bank - and close the Draynor village branch, it's already been robbed once. Of course, everything you need in runescape, has to be halfway across the map!

After seeing a suspected autoer in the mining guild (level 3, default clothing, no talk, frequent rock-stealing, even with a clear rock within sight, moving to empty rocks that could be seen if you screen rotate) - reported (no news).... I saw him on the way back to the mine, through the building as I was there - DOORSLAM! - and he just stood there!

Quite disappointed that the ornaments didn't turn into anything - or did any leftovers turn into glass for members?

Frogs: 1. Mossies in Varrock dungeon (the usual problem though, getting hit!) 2. First hit on the anvil at Dorics - Until then, I thought acting mechanical and repetetive increased the chance of a random.

The FX5500 is a very slightly warmed up version of of the FX5200 - and is the bottom level of Nvidia's directX9 hardware, with rather too much left to software (the vertex shaders are software, as is anything else they can get away with doing that way). Even the FX5600/5700 models (full DX9 hardware) would not be a match for the X700pro

Question regarding Sound Card/ Sound Device *problem solved*
Doomster replied to Ady's topic in Tech and Computers
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181 - I've always used this in preference to Belarc. The most likely sound device is a Realtek ALC650 (Or sis7012, the same thing) - for either of those, go to http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/dla ... tware=True -
I'm sure it gave me a couple of fishing levels, though I was pretty low when I got it (fishing at the time).

Messenger spam! http://www.stopmessengerspam.com/ - this place seems to be genuine... a tool to control it, or manual instructions. Unless you have a pirate version od Windows which will not accept SP2, I would highly recommend getting SP2. I also highly recommend getting a hardware router, even if you only have one PC, as it filters a lot of this junk out. Windows antispyware would be a good move too, as being bothered by messenger spam is symptomatic of having completely untuned security in all other respects.

Evil bob is a random and is F2P The other Bob (the Jagex cat) is an NPC in P2P only.

There is already CTRL-Click run, which you know about if you discover runescape from MINICLIP, but NOT from tutorial island. The instructor really ought to cover this method, useful for escape runs (use the minimap circle to click on, as you won't run far with a CTRL-Click on the main view.

My main: just reached a level 61 smithing target (make Mith kites using a stout), also collecting trade stuff to get Rune Helm and Rune plate (after D slayer). Low level test guy: Aiming to do D slayer at lower level than main, still scared of black knights and jail guards at thge moment though. Mage: after a not quite pure start, aiming to do everything with mage. I might make myself a triple set of "perfect pures", and I'd like to try a full Monk pure, but the amount of bone burying and still not up to 43 prayer, seems like a long task to get to be a really good prayer pure. PS. I normally get all my characters up to mine and smith iron, mine and sell rune essence, and fish & cook Salmon, as a way to keep them fed & supplied - if you see any pure with no supporting skills, they are, by definition, cheating using drop trading or similar, or very lucky in getting worthwhile drops. Never been able to support a character on drops alone, well, other than fighting junk for junk, so I may well take that as a challenge in itself, to never mine, fish, or cook, and still be reasonably well equipped - I suppose there are always bananas at 30gp a box, but that would defeat the point of "won and found items only".

Permanent answerphone, and we pick up only if we hear someone we want to talk to. So many stupid autodial machines these days, despite being on "silentbuster" and finally full TPS registration (UK version of the "do not call" register). I'd favour a total ban on cold calling, it's just as stupid as having random crap dropping in your email. We used to be fairly polite in refusing, but with the surge in annoying autodials, and annoying telmarketers who will not take no for an answer, the scum have spoiled it for anyone that might have something useful to offer.

Very cluttered with makers bundleware, but can't see any obvious baddies thare. http://www.hijackfree.com/en/ - try scanning with this as well, though some entries are still unidentified and others could be good or bad, depending...

Before you hit the next level of them, they ARE easy, despite still being red (at least, if you are armed and armoured appropriately). When you just move to the next level of them, they are LETHAL unless you have food. And that Evil chicken is just....... EVIL! The worst fight of the lot, for the worst drops of the lot - tougher than the randoms you get for doing something. 500+ feathers would be a fairer drop for it, instead of the 50 odd, an egg and raw chicken.

Whats the worst thing thats ever happened to you?
Doomster replied to abyssalreaper's topic in General Discussion
Losing ammy of power (about 2 days after I got it) to a random that max-hit me for the most hp of the fight, just when I thought my last hit would take it! Also lost 100+ Mith arrows (carrying due to lack of bank space), Addy platebody and Rune med - I've taken a beating before, but never for quite so much stuff. -
Every guide to random event monsters, always says "the level depends on your combat level". They will ALWAYS be a "RED", of course, though at the point where you are close to getting the next level, they are pretty easy (defeat with prayer but no food), then at the next level, they are insanely diffiicult. However, against the easy level 74's, I got only junk drops, and I can remember better, while against 3 level 120 wood spirits, the score so far is: 1. Killed me, lost a fair bit of stuff 2. Rune axe 3. Mithril axe I wanted Nats, I know they drop nats, and quite a lot of them, while river trolls have only ever dropped me 1 fish (a swordie though), rock golems 1 junk bar or a junk ore, Zombies - fishing bait (quite a quantity), and not a scrap from shades. At the moment, I woodcut while carrying food and str pot, full armour and weapon, 40 prayer (must get it to 43, then I'll protect from instead of raising A+S) Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it seems their best drops are reserved for when they are toughest to beat.

Is there a formula for the level you get - at combat 59-60, I was getting easy Level 74 randoms, now at level 62, I get tough level 120's Another observation, when they are tough, your drops seem to be better - not had a single good drop from the 74's for ages... Then a level 120 that I'm one hit away from killing, takes me with the biggest hit so far, for my Addy playebody, rune Med and Ammy of power - OUCH! Fired up, fooded and potted, I take the next one (another tree spirit) for a Rune Axe - I thought my Mithril axe was good, until I tried Rune and decided to keep rather than sell.

Camtasia may be popular, but camstudio is FREE http://www.camstudio.org/

So far, update 6 has been pretty stable - if not already at that level, update your Java.

Only ever had one - and that was fishing... not sure if it's a general random or just a fishing one.

Fishing at Lumbridge and taking to the range there works quite well. A bit of a walk, but it sure helps to keep your cooking level above your fishing. None of the god fishing sites are close to a bank - the closest are the sea fishing (F2P = sardine & herring) sites at Draynor and Al-Kharid

Don't lose the level 32 facilities, but perhaps an elite guild or head chef's challenge. Maybe so you have to collect and cook a number of things, and start again if you burn any. As it stands, the guild is most convenient for milling flour and cooking, since you don't need an equal number of pots, as you can make the dough on the spot.
