Between the Buried and Me - Sun of Nothing From the album Colors. This could be the best album of 2007. The heavy parts are ok but the way the music changes makes this an eye opening epic. You wont believe how well acoustics sit besides chaotic techcore. There is even a country and western section thrown in. Really, get hold of this album its amazing.

I absolutally love piano acoustics. They are some of the most beautiful pieces ever in my opinion. Final Fanstasy is great for this kind of stuff. That's my personal favourite, athough a piece that turned up in Naruto of all places really gets me as well. .

I think I may either be getting a (Epiphone?) Flying V or an Epiphone Les Paul sometime in the next few months. All the Les Pauls I've tried so far have been horrible but I'm sure I'll find one I like. The only V I have tried was a disaster as well. I've got a cheapish guitar at the moment (Yamaha Pacifica) but its working fine for me. What would be ideal for me would be a Les Paul/ V with a more curved neck rather than the really flat ones you find. Anyone got any suggestions on where to find something like that?

I need something with a real sense of a crushing rhythm, so groove metal (Pantera, Machine Head) really does it for me. I also like (for running) faster stuff like Lamb of God, some Machine Head songs, Slayer and Devil Driver. /metal.

If I think I can get away with it, I'll probally do it. I learn my stuff before exams though so there is little need for it. I'm doing my mock exams at the moment and I haven't cheated because I know that I'd only be cheating myself.

I just lost the game for the first time in a few months :( I was doing so well to forget it. OT: I don't really like those kind of games. Require too much time and so many answers could fit in the space that I get frustrated after my 4th or 5th attempt at each level.

Same here. I had a scone after dinner today and wasn't that impressed. I think I may have overloaded it with butter as it was all soggy and icky.

I went through a stage about a year ago trying to comprehend death and non-existance. It almost drew me back to going to church with the fear of it. I came to the conclusion that not thinking about death was best as I couldn't cope with the idea of an end to life. I think I handle it now by not confronting the issue and letting life carry on, enjoying it. Some people might find it easy but being an aesthist/ theisist can be really hard at time for me.

Best - Finally being able to play through 'Idea 4' without messing up horribly. Worst - Sitting in a french exam, completely having forgotten every french word I know.

I thought they were ok songs, horribly executed. The guitars sounded like fuzz and nothing else. I'm all for distorted guitars but that was over the top (coming from a death metal player). The singer was a bit low in the mix as well (IMO). And the most brutal thing ive listened to today was Devil Driver - Nothings Wrong :shock:

Hah...I haven't really gotten to know much of Naruto, but I'm pretty sure that here in America the beer they drink in the show is replaced with milk...:| :P That was Sake, a japanese drink made of rice. I've never tried it but my sensei assures me it is horrible.

To be honest, I think music needs to progress to new areas, rather than churning out more stuff that we have already heard. Im not to big on the Pop music history but I think bands like Queen and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have shaped pop music as much (if not more than the Beatles). I don't fully understand the extent of the Beatles influence though, as I have only heard their big hits. LSD (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds :D ) is one of my favourite songs of all time.
