Wow a level 138! Discusion on what impresed you
Adding to my original post, yesterday I saw a lvl 3 with a slayer cape... Now that is impressive (and presumably an awful lot of rings of recoil).

Wow a level 138! Discusion on what impresed you
I still don't see *that* many lvl 138s running around! I guess the achievements that I'm more likely to notice in game and be impressed by are: Mining Cape Smithing Cape Slayer Cape RC Cape Increasingly though I'm more impressed by player attributes than achievements, players who are helpful, polite and can string a meaningful sentence together are the ones that I respect.

~ The Incredibly Low Prices of Seeds... Why? ~
Simple supply and demand. Snapdragon, ranarr etc have more valuable potions so people are happy to grow the herbs as it's cheaper than buying them, they have a tangible value for the end product and provide better xp, so higher demand. Equally, on the supply side, ranarr seeds, snap seeds and so on are a far less frequent drop, so not as many sellers, ergo price goes up.

Charm droppers
You might have found a great place to train or you might simply have spent 5 hours at the fire giants, kept the original 275 gold from pikupstix and added some prayer pots for "intrigue"... Either way it's utterly meaningless without indications of time spent, location, drop ratio etc. All your screenshot proves is that you have collected 700+ Gold Charms, which might, if you're lucky get you up to 25 summoning - Nice one, well done you. On topic, Bloodvelds seem to have a drop rate of about 40-50% (based on 300+kills) and of those dropped the majority are green. Nechs seem to drop at about the same rate (if anything slightly lower in my opinion) and the majority of the charms dropped by them are crimson. Blue charms appear to be a semi-rare drop for most mid-high level slayer monsters (those that drop other charms obviously).

Help me quit
What do you do when you're 'playing'?? As your stats are woeful if that's really how much you play. The best advice has already been given though, find a replacement activity that you enjoy more.

17 December 2007 - Future Changes to Recent Updates
I'll laugh if they die....wearing the rare. Hopefully the rare is returned or -.- ^ Wouldn't work.. If any borrowed item was returned to the owner upon death then all you'd need to do is borrow the items you wanted to use in (for example) Bounty Hunter and hey presto no risk of losing items.. I'm not sure how they'll implement it, but it's obvious that a lot of thought needs to go into it to prevent people taking advantage of something like the above, but also to protect the lender from losing their stuff. Personally, I'm not sure that this idea will work too well. Although there are some easy solutions - for example with Bounty Hunter "you may not enter this area as the items you are holding are borrowed" but there are plenty of other places in the game where it is possible to die, and would be advantageous if you didn't lose any of the items you're holding when you do. Additionally, if there was no risk in lending out items, consider the number of people that will turn into 'borrowing noobs' the old "free stoof plox" will turn into "borrow ur phat plox" overnight!

Will there be any impact of duel arena update on rares?
Unlikely. Whilst stakers are probably some of the richest players in the game, they are not actually generating any income.. No new money enters the economy as a result of a stake being won or lost - it is merely a change in the disribution of wealth. Stakers are, therefore, simply efficient collectors of gp. It is always difficult to predict the impact of any updates on the price of any items within the game, but if even half the number of stakers quit that have threatened to then the supply of rares will also be reduced as they are taken out of the game on retired accounts..

Black Demons?
I used to do black demons, but the lack of drops began to wind me up so I usually burthorpe them now. If you do burthorpe though, use a different slayer master before going back to duradel. I've found that if you get a task, burthorpe it then go back to the same slayer master you frequently get the same task again! As an aside, I've not noticed an increase in the number of black demon tasks from duradel, so I would guess you've just been unlucky!

91 Runecrafting by Fires?
Personally I'd go via the abyss and make nats.. it's actually not loads slower than fires (since you get more xp per ess) and you make a heap more money that way, you'll also save a load of time when it comes to selling since fires are quite hard to sell and nats will go very quickly....

XP or Money
I use the skills that I enjoy most and/or make me the most money to pay for the fastest xp in other skills. For me that means I runecraft for my cash to pay for the ones that I enjoy less..

Classic argument: RCers, PKers
I sure hope you're being sarcastic... If not, you might wish to consider an alternative money-making scheme... I make 200k in about 30mins rc'ing.

dragonfire shield tutorial movie
It will definitely protect over a whip - whip store price is 60k vs. 800k for the dragonfire shield. If I'd spent 35M+ on a shield however, I'd be quite grateful that it protects over my whip which costs a mere 1.5M!!

Jagex's Response to Player Graphics and Ecomnoy
They almost certainly have a standard reply irrespective of what query you make regarding future updates. You could ask about the chances of purple flying elephants and still get the same response. Feel free to read into it what you will though...

Your Highest Rank on Highscores?
Highest I've ever been ranked in anything was Hunter, I was in the top 50 for the first 3 days. At the time rank 1 was lvl 83, I had level 75 and I've not trained it since then. current highest rank is runecrafting:

how you organize your bank
Your bank does look very well organised, the only problem is that it's maybe not practical in some areas. e.g. vertically stored barrows armour looks very good. Unfortunately because it degrades you can't have a bank marker therefore when you remove a set it wrecks everything else. As i said though, for display purposes it is superb. This is the link to Leester's blog and bank pic prior to buying a red phat last year. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=571059&highlight=

Whats with the highscores?
This has been discussed before. The conclusion of the last thread was that ranks are randomly assigned once you get to 200m xp (assuming of course that others have the same 200m). Thereby anyone who gets to 200m in a skill will at one stage be ranked number 1. There is no hidden xp, and cooking beyond 200m will not gain you rank or xp.

Just a thought I had about the quest cape...
Drifting off-topic, there is definitely a decent level of commitment required to own a quest cape but to the average (i.e. non-pure, non skiller) player the requirements are pretty low to start the quests and a lot of quests are progressive requirements as you wish to expand access to weaponry/different map areas. Drifting further off-topic, I would suggest that quest capes are (currently) about on a par with the more common skill capes such as fletching and cooking, all of which warrant respect, they are simply more achievable than say the mining/runecrafting capes. Back on topic, I would agree that quest capes are progressively getting harder to obtain whereas most (though not all) skill capes are gradually getting easier. And finally, way off topic.. I do quests based upon what they offer me in terms of reward/access to map etc. I don't particularly enjoy them and I use a quest guide for all but the most simple. The only exception to this is when I complete a quest on the day it is released. Apart from ME2 I don't believe any quests require a great deal of brain power to figure out, and I loathe trekking up and down all of runescape to get some random item that was deliberately selected due to it's being located as far away as possible from where you need it. Hence my use of guides. I also use PC, a gilded altar, a cannon, and buy all my 2nds for herblore. I do this because they are (for me) the most efficient way of training. I don't use runners for runecraft simply because I'm tight and would prefer to get the cash

What's the story behind your RS name?
Morden is where I used to live, I was watching cricket at the time that I made the acc and Raul Dravid was playing. Mordendravid had a nice ring to it, and thus was the account born.

1 May 2007 - Bots and real-world trading
Unlike some other sites, we are banning them. Although we can't 100% control it since Google puts those adds there, not Tip.It. That's why we have a sticky where you can please those adds for them to be banned. Where abouts is said sticky? Wow 8k accounts last week is a lot, and clearly Jagex themselves have recognised that they are not keeping up. The problem is bigger than I and possibly many others thought. The only concern in focusing on breaches of rule 12 is the possibility of innocent players getting mistakenly banned. I personally lend out various items and cash worth many millions to close friends. I wouldn't want these to be misconstrued as real world trading!

Why doesn't anyone ever play with private chat on?
Friends for the same reason as most people, I just get bugged when it's on. My pet hate is the "who are you?" pm... Erm, you just pm'd me, I don't know who you are, which is why you're not on my friends list. On if: I'm buying/selling on the official forums Off if: I'm feeling anti-social, on the phone, or power-training.

onyxes ur choice?
Fury. The best that can be said about the onyx necklace and bracelet is that they are marginally more useful than being turned into a stone.

30 April 2007 - 24 Carat Update
Weeellll, some of the jewellery does have a pretty decent effect. My thoughts: Saph (br)- Mining soft clay is a great bonus, should make tele-tabs a bit easier to make, and tele-tabs rock. Emerald (br)- It looks (from the way in which it's described) that the cw effects will be triggered by the starting of the cw game. Therefore if you take it off and replace with barrows gloves - bang, double bonus. The reason I say this is that it apparently breaks after the 3rd game (and hence disappears) but the effects still last - therefore at least every 3rd game you'll be able to have the double effect (anyone care to check?) Diamond (br) - would be possibly the best of the bunch if it didn't wear out after 5 charges (rc'ing ftw). I know that I'm not going to bother trying to remember to keep a charged bracelet with me. It's enough to remember to replace my glory, mend my pouches, sip my sup energies, anything more and my brain would definitely fry. Drag (br&Ne) - Teleport options are reasonably useful. I'm interested to see how the slayer update from the bracelet works. Though if you have to have it equipped (which is likely) I'd rather take my barrows gloves and a slayer gem. Onyx (br&ne) - meh. Marginally more useful than turning into a stone I suppose.
