It's savagery to want to protect ourselves? I believe that owning firearms is not morally wrong. I believe that people are responsible for deaths, not guns. I believe that killing in self-defence is justified if you were in danger yourself. I'm not saying shoot the guy running away with your TV. He's no longer a threat, and it's not that important. I'm saying shoot the guy in your house with a machete, or the one trying to run away with someone else in your family. Someone trying to steal or damage your property doesn't give you right to kill him, but threatening your life or your family's life does. Will I own a gun in the future? Unlikely. Do I support owning them? Yes. The right to own a gun DOES NOT supercede someone else's right to be alive. If you shoot someone when you're not in actual life-threatening danger, then you'll be punished for murder in the third degree or for manslaughter. If you're shooting someone in self-defence, because your life is in danger, you won't be punished in the same way. The second amendment gives you the right to own a gun and use it within the law, which includes the definition of what's considered self-defence. Dear god, think about things people. For once. I'm sick of people thinking guns are an abomination of society. 69,999,993 legal gun owners (or thereabouts) killed no one yesterday. Get the point?

And there are people more determined than that. Sure, many will be scared away, but if they were, were they really THAT much of a threat? So we're supposed to ban guns because some people are [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]s and don't manage to keep them where they can't be reached? Dear god, it's not that hard to keep them away from kids, and also not that hard to keep the kids ignorant of their existence. That's what pisses me off: people who think things should be banned because other people are idiots about it. It's the blame game: they're blaming the guns and not the [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]s who keep them within full reach of their children. THEY are the problem, not the guns.
-
And people within this country trying to kill you are not equally a threat? I'm reminded of someone else's words on this subject (I will be paraphrasing): "Guns are banned, and law abiding citizens, being law abiding citizens, turn in their guns, while law breaking criminals, being law breaking criminals, keep their guns. Then when a law breaking criminal breaks into a house wielding a gun, the law abiding citizen is left defenseless, and therefore more likely to be killed." People have the right to bear arms for protection; the way I read the amendment, the militia and right to keep and bear arms are separate ideas. Also, are you saying that disarming innocent people protects innocent people? Thats what the police and ADT are for. I have never of have had my house broken into. Neither have I, but in the time between when the house is broken into and the time the police get there? Unless you're really lucky, there's not going to be an officer right outside your door.

Actually, I was thinking of bluegrass. Country is awful except for Johnny Cash. Heh I always thought bluegrass was like a sub-genre of Country or something. And I'd have to agree that, at least what I've heard, Johnny Cash is good. I haven't been able to find anything past that. I don't like country in general, but Johnny Cash is amazing. My mom listens to country, and I have to agree that anything that's been released in the last 5 years or so just sucks. But before that, there was the occasional decent song. I have no problem with rap, I just don't like the majority of it, mainly hip-hop. It's not so much the style of music itself as what it's about. What I cannot really stand is pop music; the majority of the time, it's complete and utter [cabbage], nothing else I can say about it. There are rare gems in there, but they're called rare for a reason.

As old as that is, you fail at rounding. More like 86.87. But that blows mine out of the water. 1832/24. 76.333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 and then some.

Thing is, it wouldn't stay like that for long. All the rock lobsters would be full on every world because the xp is so fast and if you'd break even, people would have no reason not to. Then you'd have people who are willing to take a small loss to get that fast xp, pushing down the price of the charms, since that would be the largest source of income from rock lobsters. The charms would probably fall until selling them can recoup about half the money spent on runes.

KtoA? I thought that rating was discontinued in the mid-90s. I'm thinking E-10. All they need to do anyway is slap some worning about how the experience "might vary" due to free chat, and evaluate the game based on a quick-chat world, all to keep the rating down.

Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz; I read that book over a year ago, and it was pretty good, just didn't like the ending. Two of my favorite books ever are 1984 and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. As for series, I love Lord of the Rings and I loved most of the Harry Potter series (I hated books 6 and 7). There are probably more, but I can't think of any at the moment.

This brings back memories. I have a shoe box with all the pokemon cards I bought back then; haven't looked at them in forever, but it's there. Also, who can forget Toonami? Dragon Ball Z ran my life for a couple years when it was on Toonami. And who can forget the other great shows in there? (Jonny Quest, Thundercats, etc.) And Swat Kats! I loved that show, just too bad it's hard to find anymore. Hasn't been on TV in forever. I could go on and on, but I won't. -
I do things in binary numbers, such as eating skittles. I'll eat 2, then another 2, then another 4, then another 8 so I've eaten 16. I do that until I reach the end of the bag, which ALWAYS messes that up. I have to put my TV's volume at a multiple of 6. I don't know why, it makes no sense with my binary tendencies. When bored, I'll sometimes start tapping my fingers, but always in the same pattern, which is so long and complicated that I've never fully understood it, but I know it's always the same. If I have anything with a perforation in it (like a movie ticket or similar), I have to fold it there over and over and over. If I'm not doing something else with my hands, I'm folding that CONSTANTLY. I can't think of any more at the moment.

Hmmmm, Probably because I wasn't the one who started the topic. Looks like some posts are missing and someone bumped it. Odd. I bumped it not realizing how old it was. I think some posts are missing but I don't know; I never used to visit this board.

I saw the title of that video and immediately hit the back button. There is seriously no way that she could possibly do that song justice. Too bad she can't just stay out of music she doesn't belong in (or music in general). As for worst song ever, I can't nominate anything specific. To me, the worst music is Pop music that exists only to sell out to the public. There are the occasional gems in there, but in general, it sucks.

I was thinking I'll do Dream Theater; I know enough about them already, and what I don't know, I can easily look up. But if you want to do it instead, go right ahead, I'm not going to stop you.

Two songs, which I stumbled across separately got me into Dream Theater, currently my favorite band (so much so that sometimes I don't listen to anyone else for days or weeks): Only a Matter of Time and Fatal Tragedy. Only a Matter of Time is one of their oldest songs, but I love it. As for Fatal Tragedy, Petrucci's solo in that song is the reason I listen to Dream Theater. It got me hooked.

I don't plan on trying it. Sure, I could handle the caffeine and taurine easily (I'm far too used to energy drinks), but I'm just not sure how easy it is to get here. And burning your throat? That's not that bad, many other energy drinks do that as well. It comes with the territory.

The civil rights issues of Guantanamo bay beg to differ ;) I wasn't referring to that, as I don't even consider that part of our legal system; that seems to be something else entirely. I was referring to the criminal justice system; you know, the thing with juries and judges.

CSI: LA. A 44-minute long drama in which a crime is investigated, a celebrity found with incriminating evidence, and then acquitted. In all seriousness, I don't care about the R Kelly case. I didn't follow it and still know next to nothing about it. I still don't have complete faith in our justice system, but it's one of the best the world has. Except it works too slow. (Barry Bonds trial starts MARCH 2009, charges were filed NOVEMBER 2007)

Setup cannon, stay in the ranged safespot, and let it rip. Fast task, pisses off everyone else there.

As long as a weapon hits, the weapon has a random range of damage. So yes, my math is accurate. I get the feeling you ignored everything I said after the first line. The math is NOT accurate. You're only looking at the max hit. The weapons DO NOT always hit their max hit, and they do not always hit. The godsword hits more often in a certain number of attacks because its attack stats are higher. The saradomin sword might hit more often in a certain number of attacks because its speed is higher. The godsword will hit higher on average because its strength bonus is higher. Your mistake was not taking the accuracy into consideration. If those weapons did hit every hit or at least had the same accuracy, then you'd be on the right track, but quite frankly, you're not. You also ignored the bonuses of other equipment. What you did was for the weapon alone, but there are other pieces of equipment that you need to take into consideration, which you didn't.
