It isn't unfair. It's a school computer, you don't have a right to play games on it. If they want to give out that privilege they can, but if they don't you aren't missing anything, you just are gaining nothing. I hardly think it's fair for a student with nothing to do - homework and classwork - just to sit there and do nothing for the rest of the lesson. playing games is a way to avoid severe boredom. Boredom is what causes so many people try to misbehave. People want some fun. Not much to ask for. If you finish your work work ahead, its common sense. That doesn't always work. There are some classes you can't work ahead in. I agree with darkforaster on this. I know that the teacher has every right to keep us from playing games after our work is done but I do think it's pretty stupid to prevent a student from being rewarded when his work is done. It makes school just a little more enjoyable. I'd go nuts if every teacher in my school made us do nothing but more work after finishing the days assignment.

Just think about it like this: 1) The movie's fictional. 2) Even if the movie wasn't fictional and some guy in a mask with a knife/chainsaw/etc. showed up at your house, you could beat it him. Just take every stupid thing that the characters in the scary movie did and do the opposite. On a serious note, don't worry about it. It's something you'll grow out of. I was dead scared of almost any scary movie until I was 12 and I wouldn't even think about going on rollercoasters until I was 14. Now I love both. Just give it time.

I'd love to see them get Led Zeppelin and AC/DC on the game. Oh well, the song list now is great as is.

Thats unlucky. My friend's console has served him just fine and he's had it since it was released. My console hasn't had any problems and I've had it since Christmas. Everyone I know who has a 360 hasn't had any problems with theirs either. My friends and I all keep our consoles laying flat so that might have something to do with it. I'm not sure how you set your console.

I do think they were justified. If we didn't use the bombs, the war with the Japanese would have gone on longer. They already proved that they weren't afraid of attacking us on our own homeland. War hadn't been fought on our soil since the Civil War. Before that was the American Revolution. Anyway, at the time, we preferred to kill their innocent civilians with our Atomic Bombs rather than wait the war out and let our own men die in battle. In that sense, the first bomb was definitely justified. We warned the Japanese and they wouldn't surrender. The second bomb is quite a bit more controversial. It depends on the sources you believe. I've heard two different stories. One that says Japan wanted to surrender but wanted it negotiated rather than unconditional. I've also heard that Japan still refused, doubting that America would commit such an act so quickly after the first. All in all, I support the decision that was made. Their lives for ours. That's what war is. Find the quickest way to defeat your enemy with keeping as many of your own men and women alive. Somewhat cold but true.

I like some of their songs. The Black Parade was a good song. For the most part, though, I don't care for them.

You're totally right. While we're dropping Guitar Hero for real guitars, we should probably trade in our DDR dance pads for dance shoes and a pink tutu. Seriously though, its a game. We spend time getting good at it because it's a different kind of fun than a real guitar. Like DDR as opposed to dancing. Like Madden '08 or whatever is out right now as opposed to real football. First person shooters as opposed to volunteering to go to Iraq. We do it to escape the real world and relax in the world of video games where making a mistake and breaking your guitar because of it won't cost you hundreds of dollars. ;)

How am I a hypochondriac? Again, im yet to say "I have OCD". And I fail to see the point of you continually posting on this thread. Unless the point is to make me respect you less, which you've succeeded in. If it bothers you that much pm a mod and get them to lock this post, it was meant to be a bit of fun not an arguement. I don't really want to throw myself into an argument but I do have to point out that I agree with DragonFirenze. I don't think anyone has said that they actually have OCD. Just a group of people discussing "OCDish" tweaks. Doesn't make us hypochondriacs. It's a complete fact that most everyone has tendencies. Pointing them out doesn't make us hypochondriacs. Exaggerating them to be OCD or some disease would make us hypochondriacs.

Oldest: Pong Oldest game that I liked: Some SNES game with these fighter jet things. You could choose a special weapon before each level. It was fun. I also liked Super Mario World but I don't remember which came out first.

My worst is probably choosing random numbers. If someone asks me to choose a random three or more digit number, it takes a while. I can't choose something with all even or all odd digits. The number can't be 369 or 123 or anything with an obvious pattern. Numbers like 358 are out because 3+5=8. Because of this, my favorite number happens to be 472. It doesn't bother me. It's a number I can live with. In addition to this: I can't stand next to a microwave while it's running. Someone else said this too. Nice to know I'm not alone. I can't sleep unless the thermostat in my house is set to 72 degrees. I always have to finish songs. I eat food in groups. If I have steak, a baked potato, and cauliflower. I have to eat one thing at a time. In that particular situation, I would eat the potato, the cauliflower, and then the steak. In settings that have numbers (like opacity or flow on Photoshop) I always use increments of 5. That's about all. Not too bad. Definitely doesn't affect my life like some people with severe OCD.

First Photomanips [Fooling around with photoshop]
No_OnE replied to yomom1919's topic in Art and Media
It's not that you used too many filters. They're just too strong. They're also filters I wouldn't generally use because they're too strong. A good way to go about photo manips is to use combinations of filters to create subtle effects. They are your firsts though so good job. I'm kind of fond of the Zebra one. -
That is actually pretty close. No one else has got any yet though. Was he helping renovate a home or replace a door?

I've heard 3 and 6 before. I answered the others on my own. [hide]1. If you put a small coin into an empty wine bottle and replace the cork, how would you get the coin out of the bottle without taking out the cork or breaking the bottle? Melt the glass? Only answer I can think of. 2. Two mothers and two daughters go out shopping one day. Each of them buys one pair of shoes. Together, they had three pairs. Why? Grandmother, mother, and daughter. 3. A man walks into a bar and asks the barman for a glass of water. The barman pulls out a gun and points it at the man. The man says 'Thank you' and walks out. Why? Hiccups. 4. A woman had two sons who were born on the same hour of the same day of the same year. But they were not twins. How could this be so? They were triplets with another sibling. Or quadruplets, etc. 5. How could a baby fall out of a twenty-story building onto the ground and live? No clue. 6. A police officer saw a truck driver clearly going the wrong way down a one-way street, but did not try to stop him. Why not? Truck driver wasn't driving. He was walking. 7. Five pieces of coal, a carrot and a scarf are lying on a hill near a remote house. Nobody put them on the lawn but there is a perfectly logical reason why they should be there. What is it? Frosty the Snowman... [/hide]

Used to collect YuGiOh. The game was fun but after a while, I didn't want to spend money on trading cards. My friends and I still like to break out our old decks and play every once in a while. And by that, I mean like once a year.

Not the fastest but I'm certainly satisfied.

I wouldn't worry too much about smoke. As long as they smoke outside, you'll be fine. Just spray furniture down with something. NOT AXE! Febreeze or something should do much better. You see anyone who's completely out of control, kick them out. Also, I'd recommend not getting wasted. Doing so will prevent you from keeping any kind of control inside of the house.

Just read all 800+ pages. I guess now I'm at the depressing part where I can only read one page a day. Ah well. It's worth the wait.

Visible post count: 1321 Actual post count: 1333 Not a huge difference there. I rarely go into the forum games forum and stuff. I post 2.5 posts a day. Been here for around one and a half years.

My game, which may actually require thinking... Click the "Random Article" button on the left side of Wikipedia. Now, think of another article...I don't recommend click "Random Article" again, but rather just think of something. For example, I could pick Tokyo. Anyways, you have to try to go from the first article (The "Random Article" one) to the one you thought of...By way of internal links...So, for example, say your first article was "Robert P. Dilworth". Now, following my example from above, you have to go from "Robert P. Dilworth" to Tokyo by only using links that bring you to other Wikipedia pages. I'll continue my example for the sake of it. So... Robert P. Dilworth -> Hemet, California -> California -> Japanese American (It's somewhere on the page) -> Japan -> Tokyo. : I've played a variation of that. In the version I played, you have to go from any article to Hitler in a maximum of 5 clicks. I have yet to find an article that makes it impossible to get to Hitler.

School schedule and class discussion for 2007-08!
No_OnE replied to Lionheart_0's topic in Off-Topic
America. Sophomore in high school. 1. H Band 2. H Computer Applications (This class is sort of pathetic. I know more about computers than the teacher does.) 3. H American Culture and Thought 4. H American Culture and Thought 5. German II 6. H Pre Calculus 7. H Chemistry I like this school year. I'm already putting in 3 to 5 extra hours every day for before and after school band rehearsal. It's a state year for us. -
I don't think it was really all that important. If it were so top secret, there's no way that a satellite would've been able to get at it that easily.
-
Exactly the way I feel. I think it's wrong but I chose to do it anyway.

I love playing around with this. It makes me want to go buy a higher quality flight simulator. I'm thinking about going to Best Buy and buying Flight Simulator 2004. It's only 20 dollars and I have 33 dollars left on a gift card that I can use.

Sure is hard to fly. This helped me out though: http://earth.google.com/intl/en/usergui ... index.html Nice find, by the way, Trapical.

I remember that part. 'Twas fun. If you want a guide, don't pay for one. You can usually find better guides that are free on Game FAQs.
