Dropping barrows items

I understand why Jagex doesn't want you to drop barrows items in any condition, but the reason is shrouded by a "If you drop this, it will shatter."

NOW, isn't barrows supposed to be the strongest armor in the game? How can you withstand crushing claws of dragons and not easily drop it?

I know this is pointless, but still, I just don't see the logic. Atleast supply a better in-game reason!

Do not question Andrew's psychoticness

There's little logic in ents, nature spirits, ghosts, and how a weak shield can withstand the mightiest dragon flame, but no one questions those, now do they?

Stop thinking. It's Runescape.

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

because its ancient...but that doesnt explain its tremendous defence.

even if you drop it on a body of grass itll still shatter. even a cup is tougher.

thats amazing... ive seen barrows armor on the ground without it being broken... and it wasnt that day it was released it was 8 months after it was released.

and it may not explain its defense capabilities but it hints to things that are brittle such as concrete. when you pour concrete on the ground you can drive over it with 50 ton tanks for 20years or more on a regular basis and it will do nothing but maybe cause minor cracks that even the simplest of brick layers could patch with mortar and a trowel.

how does that relate? well when use properly like i described above it is resilient and strong durable and considerably superior to alot of things in more ways then 1.

now if you took a sold concrete block and started pounding on it with a hammer, you do a 10,000th of the pressure of a tank? and ull break it? or if you hoisted it on top of 2 pillars 1 end of the block each being held up by different pillars. the center of it could not hold much weight... maybe a ton?

if you think about it, its like an egg, when you attempt to crush it applying pressure from the top and bottom it doesnt break but when you drop it it does :-s

anyways, its runescape, in real life it would be veryt difficult (if not even possible) to run in heavy plate armour let alone jump

You took the words right out of my mouth. It's kind of like having concrete without rebar in it. Use it wrong and things happen to it that you don't want.

It probably only breaks if it's been used. This would be because of the fact that they are only tradeable fully repaired or broken. Now, try dropping a freshly repaired barrows item... I doubt that it will break because it is tradeable.

Now all we need to figure out is why broken pieces protect over almost "new" pieces, and, yes, I have seen this happen (I went kqing once with two of my friends and both of them died (the second one died while picking up the first one's stuff), but because the first one forgot to use pro item, he lost his helm (which my friend picked up), and then, after the second guy died, he kept the broken helm and his helm, which had been repaired only 10 minutes before, fell to the ground broken).

Can you see that I like parentheses?

> SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue > 0;

I love how jagex makes everything make sense.

Like how a chain of sausages triumphs over a huge [bleep]ed meat tenderizer. And how red armor is stronger than brown.

But the ultimate question remains: Why don't I have fingers?

what was said before me was right,

if you have a full invintory at barrows and get an item from the chest it will drop to the floor unbroken, this might have to do with the barrow item's being able to withstand the ground because it is made of / at the same material / time

i don't play psykick anymore... i play 2ed: "pure fett"
