The best way to barrows is not to barrows and do something you gain xp with.

barrows gets you free runes...therefore free magic exp, and if you do barrows more...you can use those runes...to gain more runes, thus gaining more exp!

slayer dart on Dharok, Verac, Guthan, and Torag. DDS special (+ whip if needed) on karil and i use the karil x-bow and racks i get from barrows to kill ahrim.

 

 

 

simple and really affordable. I normally dont lose money on runs. I also use safespots, which means i havent used a single prayer potion dose in over 2 months. I dont pray on karil in tunnel mainly becasue i have enough food to waste on him. its pretty easy.

 

 

 

after i do my run, i tele to house, pray at alter, tele to canifis, bank, and go through bar basement to restart.

I was thinking of making a guide on the exact same topic. I agree that that's the way to do barrows; makes it a true game.

How to do barrows?

 

 

 

100 bloods, air staff, 2 ppots, 3 lobsters, spade, ectophial. That is all you need to bring.

Veracing or slayer dart.

Heres my way: (ive done alot of ways this by far is favorite)

 

 

 

Starting:

 

 

 

top:ahrims

 

bottom:ahrims

 

helm:guthans

 

weapon:ancient staff

 

shield:dragon square

 

Ring:bersker

 

boots:rune

 

gloves:barrows

 

Amulet:fury

 

 

 

First i blitz dharok then ice burst (Prayer on first trip, then rest with no pray)

 

 

 

Switch to guthans top and bottom and get dds out drink combat potion

 

Kill karil.

 

 

 

Switch to karils top and bottom with c bow (usually drop a piece of food)

 

Kill karil.

 

 

 

Switch back to regular gear. and kill all brothers (dont get hit)

 

 

 

go down open up chest go back up start again

 

 

 

(i opened 16 chests with this method. ate 1 food and drank 1 dose of pryaer potion, got bored and left could have stayed for like 50 more trips unless i got alot of items)

Technically salamanders are the best, but I use slayer dart so that I can take advantage of the safespots in the tunnels (salamanders don't have range). BTW, all your ancienters out there, I don't use any p pots with slayer dart :P

Personally I like god spells with charge/ black salamanders. You can get some extremely high hits with these but in the long run slayer dart is much better.

and i got 3 mage levels from barrows.

My favourite is to use zammy flames with ahrims. Drink super attack and whip karil. Kill ahrim using x bow.

instead of earth/air runes for house port, i just do a load or two at the flesh crawlers in security stronghold, they drop dust runes (combo of earth and air) quite often. Thus, opening a slot in your inventory.

Full Verac with Ahrim and ancients for Verac. I keep most of the runes for more profit. I do 3-4 chest opens per trip and use a super set every chest open. I ancient verac in order for my food to last 3-4 chest opens.

Slayer dart is the only way to barrow, unless you want to lose cash in the end.

Well since i aint a magic maniac, I use Lunar armour and Air blast for magic, I have Crystal bow and Black d Hide for range although a Karils Crossbow i feel like having a serious run and for melee, i Have Whip D SQ Helmet of Neitiznot (Like a Serker with better defence and Prayer boost) and atm Sara Pl8 and Legs. But then i do have Veracs AND Dharoks <- New today :D

I wear Veracs for defence and prayer bonuses,mage with Slayer Dart, praying on Dharok and Karil as they are most annoying for me then just go at the rest (77 def when I started using this). Melee Karil with an atk and str dose and range Ahrim.

 

Invent is anything to kill brothers (melee weapons and range stuff), atk str and p pot (in case Dharok/Karil tunnel),elf crystal and ecto to tele for prayer then back to Barrows, then fill with food.

 

I usually only eat a few monks each run.

 

 

 

Got my first Barrows drop yesterday, Ahrims top lol.

My way is the best !!!

 

Take along 6 or 7 prayer pots (4) I can kill the combo dharok, karil, ahrim about 10 times with that. And then for the others I use ice barrage to freeze and then ice burst to kill them without even getting hit. I can open around 10 chests per trip like this without having to go unnote pots or bank somewhere =)

veracs if you have good melee stats, magic dart, or fire bolt with chaos gauntlets. I think magic dart is the best way to do it if you have the slayer and 70+ magic.

Veracs. Cheap, efficient, and get a profit even if I don't get a barrow item.

What method is best for me? I have tried slayer dart and black salamander. Havent tried ancients (hate switchin books every time I want to high alch). I also have full guthans but only Verac's helm and flail.

House tele runes, for altar and canafis portal.

 

1 prayer otion, verac dharok while praying, use whip+rune defender+dds specs on karil while praying., karils+cbow on ahrims to use up the rest of your prayer. Then just burn through the 3 melee brothers with no prayer, just keep health up high with those sharks.
