April 29, 200719 yr This week's poll, Which version of our quest guides do you prefer? is up on the main Tip.It website, please be sure to vote before the poll closes. If you'd like to discuss the poll topic, or talk about the poll results so far, this is the place to do it. And remember, the results for this particular poll will be used to determine whether we stick with the current version of our quest guides, change to the new "condensed" version, or have both available. Remember, the SEARCH button is your friend. Use it!
April 30, 200719 yr Seems the older version is more appealing, you could always just improve it. Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?Final Fantasy 7
April 30, 200719 yr have both avaible the old on looks best and would help more on longer quests but new one could be good for short ones
April 30, 200719 yr i see no reason not to have both, but if i had to pick i'd say old ones. has anyone considered the possibility that lauren1211 is homosexual? anyone, anyone at all?
April 30, 200719 yr I think both avaliable is the way forward... sometimes I just want to ignore the spiel.. sometimes I want to read it.. and I've just noticed my finger is bleeding profusely... :ohnoes:
April 30, 200719 yr i dont like the new one, no pictures?? no hinmts to defeat x monster?? i think this one is only for those quest like sheep hearer that dont need much guide.but for example lost city: you need , or atleast i need, hints to defeat the monster, or you are dead! hope u dont think i dont like the new format, i think it is just more 'speedy' and only needed by some sort of people. April 30, 200719 yr I think the new condensed version needs pictures and tips to make it complete. (A picture is worth 1K words!) However, I like the *numbered* steps that tell exactly what to do, instead of the paragraphs that have too many things in them all together. It's easier to follow along with the steps, and if I have to leave it I know where I am when I come back. Just my opinion. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
April 30, 200719 yr I like the old -- original -- versions of the quest guides. I enjoy reading the quest guides as much as doing the quests themselves. Here's my take on the ultra-condensed quest guides: "Do it!" And this will work on all the quest guides too! Knowledge is Power; a Tip.it guide answers many commonly asked questions.~Celestrana: Making of a Hero ~ (Visit my blog, today!)
April 30, 200719 yr i just want to add that i will be cool to do this, but with pictures only that show you step by step wath to do.And maybe even a little text explaining the picture too :D [Click here to help stop World-Hunger.] ?
April 30, 200719 yr I say keep the old version, it's just more interesting, and gets you more involved with the quest, making the quest an enjoyable experience, rather than a job you want to rush through. There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.

I've found myself going to other sites (can I name them? Sal's is the main one) to find pictures of quest stuff quite often. I've also tended to get confused in paragraphs of instructions, to where I have to highlight the part I'm working on to be able to keep track. So, step format instructions, with MORE pictures than the old guides, would be my ideal.

Like pictures of what you will be doing/facing.. Tips on doing it.. Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.
April 30, 200719 yr The new version is mutch better, but maybe some other players need some more info, like me somtimes.. but 2 versions would be AMAZING
April 30, 200719 yr So, let me get this right........ A lot of you want the new format, but with more pictures/hints/tips etc. etc. In other words THE OLD FORMAT :wall:
April 30, 200719 yr i prefere the original format for the quests. i like how it tells you what items you need and what are recomended for each step of the quest, tho it would be nice if (instead of every step) it would give you what new items you would need for each step (and, too, what you are done with if you dont lose them)
April 30, 200719 yr I'd say the old version is much better, and I'd definitely hope that it stays around in some way. Both would be fine by me. Quite frankly, if Tip.it sticks with the new on I'll be using a different help site for my quests.
April 30, 200719 yr both would be best, gives everybody what they want... personally i liked teh old guides. RIP my main Xprozaccx. Still Dreaming of Farming CapeConfucius say: "Crowded elevator smell different to a midget" xD
