Rebdragon
My ring finger is longer than my index finger and I suck at math but I'm pretty good with my English skills.. Same here, 94% in math and 97% in Language Arts... not true for me.... Grades don't really mean much... use the SAT or some other reasoning test to compare them. My math grade is lower than my English grade. Why? No, not because I excel in literacy better than mathematics; on the contrary, I barely ever read, and my CR grade on the PSAT was a 590. My mathematics score though was a 760, even though my grade was lower in that class. It's just because my English teacher is easier than my math teacher. Though no offense, but 97% kinda screams "easy class" :| . The 94 does a little as well... but that 97 just makes it look like the teacher hands out A's on a silver platter . Oh, and dang it, my ring finger's longer -.- . [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series. My_Eggs
Reb, they are kind of easy classes, but, I do know the material well though. If I didn't, the grades wouldn't be like that. I'd be flunking the tests if I didn't know the material. I do have to actually pay attention and work semi hard to maintain my A's. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.
Devilsdragon
What is and average SAT score? I took the PSAT, it was being offerd by the local university for kids, and my parents wanted me to take it. Average is ~550 my ring finger is longer, and my math score was 160 points higher than my critical reading
knives669
I really suck at Math and my ring finger is longer than my index finger. But, both my index fingers are crooked. :(
IGoddessI
Kids with longer ring fingers compared to index fingers are likely to have higher math scores than literacy or verbal scores on the college entrance exam, while children with the reverse finger-length ratio are likely to have higher reading and writing, or verbal, scores versus math scores. I did better in literacy and verbal and my ring finger is about 3cm bigger than my index. However I finished college with a 97% average in both math and English, just didn't pull off the math side on the SAT exam. Kudos to the guy for attempting some interesting research. I missed out on the deans scholarship by 1 point on the SAT exam, you can only image how p*ssed off I was. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. Led-Zeppelin
Yeah, I beleive that, but doesn't gaurantee you success, I think alot of it is how well the student applies themselves. I've watched a doco once, and a scientist could tell things like in a sprint, who'd come first all the way through to last on the length of their ring fingers. Because the more testosterone you have in your body, the longer your ring finger is then your index. Try it, ask to see a ladies hand, and more often then not, their ring will be shorter then their index.
Mercifull
I think its BS. The sample size was far too small to make such a huge claim. I saw an article on the BBC local news about it. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape" Jagex 01/04/01 - 02/03/
assassin_696
Hang on, has anyone here said that their index finger is longer than their ring? Anyway, if true it's interesting. I'm not great at grasping foreign languages like I am maths and my ring finger is indeed longer. Still, my test results are fairly even. transcript80
Bull droppings. There is another rumour that the size of your hand is equal to the length of your...er...male pride? Which is the same bull. *does not go into comparative measurements* Size of body parts is in NO relation to intelligence. Females have smaller barins, but (some) of them are actually smart! :ohnoes: *gets nuked down by female forum users* :ohnoes: just kiding about the last sentences! :ohnoes: Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... xSxqPowerx
True for me :P Ring finger is considerably longer, and I'm good at math. I do good in English and stuff, but I do think of it more from a mathematical point and I have some trouble writing and being creative and stuff. BlueLancer
I have a longer ring than index finger. (I failed math [d-] and got A+ on english and A on russian besides knowing a few other languages as well) So.. As much as I hate internet owls and cat images, this is what I want to send to that article's writer 8-) ..If your middle toe is longer than your big toe, you will have a 57% greater chance of making crappy articles than people who have a bigger big toe... doomy
Our Science teacher was talking about this. In the end I concluded that because My ring finger was shorter then my middle one, its not true :P Nah, IMO its not true because this is about genes, not intellegence. Led-Zeppelin
Most males have equal or longer ring fingers in relation to their index. Depending on how much testosterone you were exposed to when you were in the wimb depends on how much longer your ring is. That is a theory I heard on a doco.
