"This month will see the first batch of something we are lovingly calling ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâBits and PiecesÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ projects. Basically, weÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve spent a great deal of time trawling through the Suggestions Forum and in-game comments, and then compiling a giant list of requests for small changes and improvements to the game, the first few on the list being launched this month. These will range from tiny additions like a right-click option to get to Entrana that doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t involve clicking through the text every time, all the way up to raising the power of crossbows.

 

 

 

The list continues to grow, and we will be releasing more ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâBits and PiecesÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ in the future, so please carry on posting your suggestions in the Suggestion Forum.

 

 

 

Our only quest in June offers you an opportunity to take part in a rather odd story. Now, IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m sure that most of you have heard about the little boy who kicked his ball over the fence, only to find an evil witch decided to hide it in her garden shed. Some of you may have even snuck into the house and tried to rescue itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ but what has the witch been up to since? To the untrained eye, it looks like she might have just been walking up and down her garden lobbing the odd teleport spell at a wandering adventurerÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ but in reality she has been deviously planning her next menacing experiment to throw at the unsuspecting (and a bit slow) druids nearby. In Grim Tales, youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll be shouting through windows in tall towers, telling bedtime stories to griffins, climbing beanstalks, drinking shrinking potions and even battling the next of the witchÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s creations. DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be fooled into thinking it will be a simple care-free journey, though: you should know by now that our fairy tales are anything but that.

 

 

 

While all this is happening, the baddies of the fairy tale world - wolves and werewolves - and all their family will be heading to the Makeover Mage for a bit of a polish. The wolves will look hungrier, the werewolves more brutal, the jackals more cunning and the hellhounds more hellish. On top of this, Canifis has called in the builders and will unveil what the decorators and landscapers have done.

 

 

 

Elsewhere in the world youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll be noticing odd crop circles and strange imp-like creatures popping up all over the place. Implings like to collect things, especially things that humans want. When theyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve found something tasty, they take it back to their maze-like world of wheat, and fly about playing hide-and-seek.

 

 

 

You may be able to find these implings outside their extra-planar home, trying to cause trouble and collect yet more small interesting trinkets. Each type of impling likes to collect things based on a theme. The dragon implings, for example, like to collect objects that have the word 'dragon' in their name, including the new dragon arrows and darts. Of course, they will require an impressive Hunter level of 83 to catch...

 

 

 

Finding and catching the implings on the surface may be a tricky task, but if you follow them home to their maze you will have to contend with imp guardians that object to you catching their impling cousins, and a maze that keeps changing ... Just the sort of things youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d expect in an area filled with imps.

 

 

 

Of course, to fire dragon arrows youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll need a new bow to shoot them fromÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ which brings us on nicely to the lvl 60 dark bow. This new bow, complete with its own special attack, will be available by killing dark beasts (lvl 90 Slayer target).

 

 

 

We will also be working on other graphical improvements in the game, including Crandor, MelzarÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Maze and Crandor Dungeon. We even invited Elvarg herself to the makeover chair."

 

 

 

 

 

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE DARK BOW!!!!

 

 

 

Also better start raising my hunter level now to get the arrows :D

Sounds like some pretty good updates this month, finally Hellhounds are getting updated. And a fancy new bow and arrows and another update for Hunter. Sounds like this month is going to be good :D

It's about time Dark Beasts got a unique drop.

 

 

 

It's kinda scary though, a level 85 slayer monster gave out perhaps the ultimate melee weapon, which at the time of released, overshadowed most weapons.

 

 

 

Wonder if this bow will do the same thing, im going to have to beg a mate to get a drop for me.

I heard JagEx were going to make range more competitive with the other forms of combat, hopefully this is how. Oh and Dark Beasts drop death talismans which nothing else does.

despite the fact that rangers are getting mroe powerful crossbows, a new bow from a lvl90 slayer monster, new dragon aarows and darts... im still willing to bet there will be some who still say rangers get miss-treated and there 'underpowered'

The impossible has happened: Jagex listened to the whining and is doing a high-lvl update month :shock:

 

 

 

Slayer update is promising too, dark beasts will finally get a purpose + someone's gonna make a mil or few off these bows :twisted: (not me tho :wall: )

i neaver thought they'd release dragon arrows. those bloody bows better not costs millions for being only d range weapon. and did it mean 60 range? caz im almost here :

Very good promising update! But on front page they mentioned "new look metallic dragons" even though we just had the update? :-s

 

 

 

This month looks very good! Dragon Arrows and bolts...a new use for Dark Beasts...Level 83 hunting requrements. Arrghh I need to get my hunter up now :shock:

These Imps sound interesting, it sounds like there will be multiple types not just Dragon.

 

 

 

What else would Dragon imps get? Arrows, darts, dragonhide? I doubt they'd be getting of the armour/weapons though.

 

 

 

But what other types of imps could there be? Hopefully there'll be a few good ones.

 

 

 

So, who thinks I can go from 85-90 slayer and 43(ish) hunter - 83 in a couple of weeks? =P

 

 

 

I'll probably try and get atleast 86 slayer, just to make wild pies much more effective.

 

 

 

Sounds like a BRILLIANT update, hopefully the dark bow doesn't disapoint!

I hope Jagex up the Dark Beast assignment, they currently have a max of 20 or 30 ( i think 20).

 

 

 

I'll no life a spell when they come out, but I'd prefer to do them on assignment.

They're also updating the hellhounds!! Finally they will look more ferocious.

I'm happy that Jagex has listened to us. High level updates, dragon items for range and all the bits and pieces such as right clicking for entrana. I hope this is a sign of things to come when they will listen to players more. Anyway, Jagex FTW! :thumbsup:

Urgh, just had a thought, the bow will probably not be quite as strong as the crystal one. But still, it'll be nice to have a special and also a wide use of arrows.

 

 

 

Im excited, but I must dampen it otherwise Jagex will probs disappoint!
