the dark bow will be up in the millions since only the lvl 90 monster drops them. However, its no use in worrying about it yet, guessing is of no use, just wait for the update.

It'll stay up for a while, I reckon it'll settle quite quickly but probally won't drop to under a few mill.

 

 

 

It's like higher slayer required than abby whips, although many people already have 90 slayer, and probally won't be as common a drop.

Well if you think about when whip prices were like 12m.

 

There were only a few hundred people who could kill abby demons

 

 

 

But there are 10k+ people who will be able to kill dark beasts

 

Although in a speculation on its spec attack i think it should have a "guthan" style effect :thumbsup: i.e. heals hp equal to hit amount, since range is the combat type lacking this form of attack (guthan for melee, blood spells for mage). If this was to be the case then this bow would take up the throne of the *ultimate* ranged training weapon (and perhaps pking) and hence would stay up in price around the 2mill mark or maybe more if its a rarer drop.

EDIT2: just had a brain wave...i realise that onyx tipped bolts can heal the firer of the bolts, but who honestly is gonna cut up an onyx for 15 bolt tips just to gain a healing effect?!? so my statements above still stand (hopefully people read this before i get flamed lol)

I hope the prices are high, a few of my mates are 90+ slayer, hope they give me one lol.

A lot of people are saying darts will be around 1-2kea. Look at rune knives and darts. Knives are only a little better then darts. We can all safely say that dragon arrows are going to be better then rune knives. Rune knives are 3-5kea. They will probably be around 10kea+.

 

 

 

Bows, like many others have said, will be like whips. Insane starting price that will gradually lower and lower. My guess is 30-100M starting price(very unpredictable), and when it all settles, they'll be around 5m and gradually lowering.

 

 

 

Arrows would mostly be used by PKers. They won't cost too much because if they were insanely high, PKers wouldn't buy them because they would cut into profit. My guess is around 1-2.5kea.

Ppl get real, then whips come out no one could getting em... After a while there was first player able to kill abby demons for whip.

 

 

 

This time we got 2.7k+ players can get bows, like 500 players will get lvl90 before relaese. Some ppl will kill darks with pies.... Price will go down very quick.

 

 

 

Right there is where you're theory is wrong. Hundreds of millions will be spent on pies. :wink:

Seeing as whips were like 100M when they came out, and only require 85 slayer to get.

 

 

 

 

 

Dark Bows require 90 slayer...So I guess like 150M - 200M for the first few days, 100M for the next month, and it will go down until it stops at like 2M - 3M a year later

200M is a tad high. noone will pay that much, especially if the bonuses are average, and the special is average. Anyone going to risk losing a 200M item in wildy - me thinks not.

do you even realize what you just said? your a lvl 75 slayer, and you are just digging a hole for yourself with that sentance. All 90+ slayers would get the best bow and could own all pc products straight away in the wildy.

 

 

 

Btw, comparsion with a whip is very inappropriate, take for example partyhat prices- first whips were sold for eqvivalent of a partyhat set- now a partyhat set is 1.4B or smth- they wont go that high, but due to the fact of alot more money running through the economy and dark beasts being far harder to kill in tons than abyssals, the price should defenaly hit higher than the cheapest partyhat.

Roughly 3500 people haqve 89+ slayer. (Dark beast with pie)

 

 

 

Less than 2200 have the required 83 Hunting level for the dragon imps.

 

 

 

Since you'll only need one bow, but arrows are consumables..lets just say I'm happy that I'm on track to hit 90 hunter this week ;)

i think arrows and darts will be about 5k ea (a bit more than obby rings) and bow will be around 2m (whip is 1.6, but idd say it has better stats, however u can get it at 85 slayer)

There are a few things that will directly affect the starting and long term prices of the Dark Bow:

 

 

 

1) Firstly, what are the stats on this thing going to be like? nobody knows, they can only hypothesize - I would like to think they would be around +90 range bonus.

 

 

 

2) Whats the drop rate going to be? Perhaps something like the time it takes to get a whip maybe? This drectly affects how how many bows will appear on the market on the first day and subsiquently enter the market in the long term.

 

 

 

3) How many people have the right slayer level to kill the dark beasts? How many still play? How long do they play each day? This point ties in with point (2)

 

 

 

4) What alternatives are there to the Dark bow? How do they compare in price and power? This is a tricky one to evaluate as we dont know much about the Dark Bow at this time.

 

 

 

5) Whats the demand for this item going to be like and how much are people willing to pay? Yes its true people have more money now - but what value do they put on a high end range bow? lvl 60 range to use suggest quite a high demand for this item.

 

 

 

So there are many points to evaluate before putting a price tag on the Dark Bow.....some people on this thread have just picked out a number in the sky others have thought about it a bit more .

 

 

 

Also i think we should stop comparing the Dark Bow to the Whip as although it is a slayer drop it has very different markets and is being released into the game in a completely different way. The first whips were only obtainable by a few people, this time we are looking at maybe 3000+ people.

 

Anyway the UNSEEN MONEY is in the crossbow update which will mean enchanted bolt prices and gem prices will rocket. Invest in Onyx and d stone, well thats what im up to :)

IMO if the spec is good, like Blood Blitzing like the special attack looks like, and it rare like the Whip which it will be, it should be in the high 50M+

also what i noted:

 

the maple bows give +29 ranged attack bonus

 

the addy longsword has +29 slash attack bonus

 

 

 

the yew bows give +47 ranged attack bonus

 

the rune longsword gives +47 slash attack bonus

 

 

 

the magic bows give +69 ranged attack bonus

 

the dragon longsword gives +69 slash attack bonus

 

 

 

hence- saying the requirements for the bow are low is inappropriate

 

we already have ''the dragon bow''- and it is a magic short-bow- so dark bow, as a superiour bow to the magic short bow will accually be along the lines of an ''abby bow'' or a ''barrows bow''.

I belive new bows will drop in price like crazy. Too much ppl can get em. Yeah dark beasts harder to kill... But then first whip droped there was monopoly... 1 player against 3k... They will drop for 5mil each first day released.

I can't predict exact prices, but i say the arrows will actually be higher than you all say, because if the development diary is right you get arrow tips.
