wakka102
the dark bow will be up in the millions since only the lvl 90 monster drops them. However, its no use in worrying about it yet, guessing is of no use, just wait for the update.
Abyssalwhip
Dark bow at 8k? Try at least 10m starting. Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
PastyGangsta
Yeah 10m will make more sense... although it might be less if the range bonuses suck... :?
armadillo48
Imo, your estimates are waaaaay low. The dark bow requires 90 slayer to get, and even after a while it won't settle at that low a price. The dragon darts and arrows will probably be obtained in small amounts so to get a good sellable amount (ie. 100, 500, etc) it'll probably be a fair bit of work. Giordano
I would agree with the 10M rage with the bow...I mean, it's a lvl 182 monster that you need 90 slayer to kill. Most people stop at 85 for whips. :? "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."

lavaownz
with little contraversy, the abbysal whip is the best melee weapon in the game, and that comes from a level 85 slayer monster, so it may be a guess to assume that this will be the best ranged weapon in the game. When the abbysal whip first came out, they were sold for 20m, they lost their price, down to 10m and kept going down. My guess Dark bow will be over priced at 10m, maybe go back down to 5m and keep lowering as for arrows, my guess is only 1 per imp, and they will be hard to get, maybe 100k ea at first, eventually down to 5kish each Rofl. Would you please stop posting that number, this is the second time in the same day ive corrected you. The first whips were 100 million!! They were still 25 million when I got 85 slayer. aquariusman
I am sure those level 85 slayers are trying to hike up to level 90 in time to reap the rewards of the dark beasts. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. dragon312
i think they will be around 30 mill the first day and the second day the drop to 10-20m and from that slowly settle
bobbaldrick
It all depends on the strength of the bow, take the seercull for example thats a high level drop and isnt worth much now. I think the price will settle around 2m after a month. the dragon arrows etc depend on how easy they will be to get, if we go by rune prices you will be looking at 1-2k ea
blouinator
it depends how good these weapons are.
drgnslyer_15
Price will solely depend on how good it is i think.. If its awesome like it kinda sounds they millions if it sucks it will prob fall a lot faster then most people expect.. Like i said in another thread i don't want to overhype it cause for some reason we all get these Uber high expectations and when jagex doesnt live up to em we complain like 3 year old babies.. I'm hoping its a Good bow and that the arrows and darts are good but i'm not expecting a lot. Many more people have 90 slayer now than had 85 slayer when whips were released, so they won't be in the dizzying heights trixstar mentioned. I think it's hard to say, as it really depends on the drop rate. If it's comparable to the whip, we can definitely expect 20M+ at the beginning. I doubt dragon arrrows/darts will be 100k each, nobody would buy them for that much. Even if it's 1 per imp, that's 100k for each imp you catch. Not going to happen. Once again, we don't know exactly how long it will take to get the arrows, so estimates are hard. But at one per imp, I would guess no higher than 10k each (EVERYBODY with 83+ hunter will be hunting them), and drop down to around 2-3k each. spikerkid
Bow will be 20m first few days. Then it'll drop to 15 - then 10 - then 7m which it will stay for a while and slow drop down like whips did. My guess. Quit RuneScape :)

hkscaper
Since I don't trade ranged equipment that often, I can only say that the price will behave like that of the whip. The starting price will be insane, then gradually drop, but will still be tons higher than magic bow/rune arrows, solely because these new items can't be made by players. bigtoy
wtf :\ :wall: after a year of being 85 i decide to get 99 a week ago and now this comes out and now slayer spots are gonna be more crowded, more crowded means slower exp :@! :x :x :x 522 to 99 slayer
Greedom1
This could easily be the biggest update to range in years. However, don't forget in all of this that range is a relatively boring and slow way to kill monsters. The whip got its price initially for duelers/stakers and even some pkers. The vast majority of whips are now used exclusively as training weapons for melee. For training, the magic short or even the crystal bow will still reign supreme. Unless the bonuses on these bows make the dark bow so super over powered, then it will never be used for training as much as the whip. I anticipate it starting fairly high (people have gobs of money), then dropping FAST if it ends up being underpowered (relative to a cheap mage short) or even slower than the magic short. I'd say 20 mill for the bow for the first day, 10 mill the next, and dropping to 5 mill within a week. It's all about demand for the bow in this case. Which could be high because a lot of high lvls have maxed out cb and may be working on range to 99 these days anyways. (Don't forget in all of this about the compound magic bow - which came out and quickly became a disappointment.) darkblob0
the prices of the dark bow will probably go the same way as whips, starting high then falling in chunks until eventually settling, well as long as they don't nerf it the first week  Don't Click This774th to 99 hunting on July 16th 2007

phata_elise
Some calculated predictions about dark bows and dragon arrows. First of dragon arrows: When looking at melee, at 99 strength you deal an average of about 15% more damage with dragon weapons than runite ones. According to the tip.it calculators, the max hit for runite arrows at 99 ranged without potting or prayer is 19. Give that a 15% increase and you get a max hit of 22. Include potting and prayer and the new max hit could be around 28. now for the dark bow: the magic bow requires 50 ranged and gives a ranged bonus of +69. At lvl 70 ranged you can wield the crystal bow, which gives a max bonus of +100 ranged. Assuming that the dark bow follows the same principle, at lvl 60 ranged it could give a ranged bonus of +85. It seems to be pretty comparable to karil's x-bow.
