WHATS YOUR IQ?

Why is it practically everyone claiming they're over IQ 145 (0.1% of the population) can't even spell or make an intelligent post on these forums?

Bahahahaha. Toucḫ̩̉̉.

It must be highly annoying to see your area of expertise shredded by the arrogance and idiocy that is so often displayed on these boards. It makes you feel quite powerless, doesn't it :?.

Just like the rest of the people that have posted so far, I took an online IQ test. I got a 328.

[Never got it officially tested, and no, I never got that number. Waaaayyy too many high numbers on this thread- I'm probably somewhere in the 120s, mid 130s at best.]

Maybe you should read all the posts first.

Btw, a fun fact: Having 200+ iq means you have photographic memory, and never forget a single bit of you life. This means that you remember every single thing you saw, touched, heard, tasted, and smelled, everything.

Hmm, I don't know how this works, but my memory is not photographic I don't think seeing as I don't remember everything. When it comes to exams, I don't learn words, just pages, then when I come to the exam I read off the page in my memory and recite everything word for word off that page in my head. I used to get accused of cheating constantly.

My IQ the last time I tested was just over 100 though (110 or something like that.)

IQ posts up to my post:

Well I'm wondering what Your IQ is .

please don't flame me or anything for this.

And don't lie,I dont want to hear that you could out smart sir isaac newton at chess with your "300" IQ.

My IQ is 182 I know It's high But I'm not lieng (typos on purpose for scarcasem purposes{1 of the typos is in the brackets}.

Anyway post your IQ hear!

[ironic of course]

I got mine tested in year 4 at 146. 182 seems ridiculously high, considering Einstein had an iq of about 160. :?

No one ever beleives me, but mine is 155.

Oh, and this wasn't an online test, this was a real test at an institute who solely does IQ testing

His IQ is 220. 160 wouldn't make him so clever, like he is.

Anyways, myn is 177.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm guessing my IQ is around the same as my grandfathers, 140.

Didn't even make it below 140. I'd bet $100 on each and every one of these that they're BS and/or overexaggerated.

Yes, I'd call BS on yours too, even if you say and actually did take some test (of which I have no knowledge to understand the accuracy of it). 155? No. Just, no.

(and don't badger me about saying everyone and you took an online test. Not only was I merely referring to online test to emphasize the sheer inaccuracy of the prior posted IQ's [including yours], but I'm pretty sure you didn't mention that being a real test when I made said post. Ille est, I don't recall seeing the second line of your first post in this thread).

Damnit, someone go get her an extra frikking humongous chocolate chip cookie. No, make that two.

God that's refreshing to see on this thread. Very cool technique you've got there too, though I'm kind of glad I don't have it o_O. I'd be going over the material during the test instead of before, since it always does a nice WHOOSH over my head the first time I read it #-o .

I wouldn't care much for a photographic memory anyways, I just wish I could remember peoples' names #-o .

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

well ive heard in a site before that if you can concentrate on something for 30 minutes...then you have a IQ of 100. if you can concentrate at something for an hour then your IQ is 145.

I don't think thats true though

One thing you've got to remember that what made einstein a "genius" wasn't his IQ but his way of looking at things. He had a way of figuring things out and understanding them, rather than just being "smart" as so many people say. Still, he gave us the theory of relativity. Nice one!

Either way, this about sums it up for me.

An idiot knows nothing, an average person can learn, an intelligent person has already learned, and a genius doesn't need to in the first place...

Or was it the fact that because he had Bipolar disorder, it gave him a creative advantage over most on top of his genius abilities to problem solve which also relates to the disorder?

Have you ever ran a search on some of the most celebrated people in history? Why did most of them have this disorder in common?

Last time I took an I.Q. test I scored 136.

When I was 8.

I'm almost 13 now, so it should be a heck of a lot higher.

You had the Mental age of an 11 year old when you were 8.

Your chronological age now at 13 years old compared to mental age does not mean at all that it has increased.

So you're claiming to have the mental age of 18 minimum at 13 years old? That's a high school graduate.

I could be wrong but I highly doubt it from reading your previous posts.

According to psychologists IQ tests are neither valid nor invalid. IQ tests are some of the most valid, highly predictive tests they have ever devised, and they can be useful in targeting children on both ends of the bell curve who require special attention. Comparing members of markedly different cultures or subcultures can be problematic.

Exactly. I took a test at the tender age of 5, together with a bunch of other tests to see if I'd be intelligent and most importantly mature enough to skip a year at school. They never disclosed any numbers to my parents, or if they did, my parents never disclosed them to me. The psychologists did say that it was highly advisable for me to skip a year or I might get into trouble (I was teaching myself how to read and count), that I would probably do well in school and be able to go to university if all went well. They had no certainties, because no matter how high your IQ is, it's what you do with your brains that counts in the end.

Also, having a high IQ isn't necessarily a good thing, but oh well, since everybody likes to brag... I did partake in the National IQ test on television. It was great fun, but those aren't really numbers that count for anything. I scored 141, but then again, the whole of Flanders scored an average of 115. Not very likely, considering the average (100) and their voting behaviour <.< .

That same thing happened to me, except when i was eight, because i was performing well at school, and i went to a psychologist and did the test, i had to put together 3d puzzles and answer questions and stuff, which at the time i thought was really boring and stupid, understandably. Mum only told me the score last week, which i swear is 146, i'm not trying to boast about it :?

And about einstein, yes, he never took an iq test, but i asked my bio teacher who is head of science at my school, and she said that they estimate that it would have been in the high 160's, if he took a conventional test. In a normal test the time you take effects the score you get, and he had a creative brain, that could work out immense problems, but not quickly, (this is rather dumbed down as to how she explained it haha), if he took it without the time he would have gotten around 200 apparently, but as i said it's all guess work.

In the end it's not really your IQ that matters, sure it'll help, but your work ethic and attitude towards your studies that will determine whether you are successful in getting a high earning, well respected job.

Reb, care to read my previous post, the last post on page 5, i explain (also the second hidden section). I wouldn't bother lying, what's the point? Your IQ means nothing when it comes to securing a job.

hmm.. to everyone who's here telling people their IQ and just before I begin, I'm not writing this because

my IQ is low. I also got tested at an institute and got 173. Here's the thing about IQs. They don't matter.

Of course, nobody said that it mattered and stuff, but to people who don't know, just an info.

One of the few reasons that I say it doesn't matter is that there are hardly any real

accurate tests currently to test your IQ, and each test differs from the other. Now, I heard that

Einstein had a IQ of about 200 and the highest anyone had was an IQ of 220, a South Korean, who learned

how to speak more than 3 languages fluently at like 4, did college level trigonometry by 6,

and joined NASA becoming the youngest in history at the age of 9. So, anyone who claims to have

an IQ of higher than 200 means they took one of thousands of false, or

inaccurate tests.

I'd say mines off too, because I'm a dumba$$ personally speaking. And the average IQ in this thread

seems to be extremely high, which must mean that we're all geniuses here who could probably

do better for the world researching some kind of hyper-complex space-time manipulating device

or something, huh?

oh and few more things

having an extremely high IQ does not mean that you have some kind of

photographic memory or something.

Einstein with an IQ over 200 was well known for his tendency to forget things, especially later in life.

He once called a telephone company to ask for his own house number, because he forgot.

Also, IQs are bunch of simple tests, even accurate ones, that can't possibly show you close details about what you are capable of.

And having high IQ doesn't mean you are smart. You can have IQ of 150+ and be, well, kinda dumb.

Anyone knows anything about Indigos ? I heard they have 130+ IQ and can outsmart almost anyone on Earth.

So almost everyone on TIF is Indigo child lol :D
