It's probably real, dragonstone bolts have been known to hit 60 before the update.

Well, yesterday, I was fighting killerwatts with a rune cbow, guth book, and mith bolts. I had archer helm, red dhide body, chaps, and [bleep]y vambs, and ava's accumulator. While normally on killerwatts, I use steels with a mage short on rapid, hit max 8s. But now, I hit 17s max, at the same speed as an accurate mage short ( 65 range ). Since I don't Pk, I have been thinking of just replacing my mage short altogether.

My friend uses a rune crossbow for pking and he can now hit 3 30's in a row! (So he says) He calls it the 'ranger's whip'. :thumbsup:

the bolt is dragon stone... its easy to see the purple'ish colour

Yeah, it's dragon stone. The 20% of max health is instead of the bolt damage, which makes it useless against players. As previous poster said, it's purple, thus dragon stone, not red.

well they must have slowed it down bc when they first came out i was matching hits with a msb in duel arena.

 

 

 

btw..hope everyone knows that this is how c bows should have allways been. their whole purpose in life is to pierce through pl8 mail.

 

 

 

oh and i hit 19's with 72 range and eagle eye. no hat or boots just glory and hides.

so has anyone tested whether rune xbow is faster than msb when power trainning range when using the same metal ammo?

Just hits 29's, with only eagle eye, no pot at 91 range. That's higher than my max with melee. :shock:

I hit 20's with my not so high range lvl. The high range bonus makes it easier to hit through armor. I even killed a guy in full Dharoks with it! \

 

 

 

Not bad for mith/emerald (e) bolts. 99 range + pot, no pray.

no magers need an update lol now they get owned by meleers and rangers..

Alright, but I might be able to hit a 60 with my Xbow, but you can vengence it, and as long as I dont Safe, ill own myself, and yes that has happened, Ive hit a 37 on som1 vengenced, k0ed myself..

I was over my friends house earlier today and he decided to give the x-bows a go. He has 88 range, used dragon bolts and a rune cross bow. He just let the words crossbows still suck pass his lips when he hit a 52 for a kill and a whip. I started cracking up and about 10 people started to run up to him shouting "RFLPL0X!!!!!?! How did you hit a 52?!?!?!!!??1111111111

Now we have a use for all those bolts that dragons and chaos druids drop. I hit 24s with range pots and sapphire (e) bolts. I had lots of them since I found out before the update that they were too slow. Now I can take down a black dragon fairly quickly with emerald (e) bolts and sapphire or regular mithril ones.

 

 

 

Guess we all need to get our smithy levels up. I got 66 smithy makin iron bolts for my pearl tips.

Another question: what are those MM forums Muggi talked about?

 

this is without special...hit quite a few 38 on kbd too, but couldnt hit more than that anywhere(without special).
