This is a simple question, and I wanted to see if people brought one or not, if you don't bring one to barrows, list what you bring instead of it.

 

 

 

I personally, always need one. I've done 2.8k runs, and not got even closed to needing it. (Except that time when I got dced on Karil no prayer. =p) But, I can just imagine, the one run I don't have it, I get dced and I die.

 

 

 

 

 

So, yes or no, why or why not? What do you bring instead?

I always use one, ive only needed it once but its better safe than sorry and Im not sure anything I could equip there would provide much of an advantage

I would just to be safe (even though I don't Barrows (yet)). No one wants to lose their stuff, and I know I've had enough of the "I never shoud've..." situations.

I personally bring it, because there is nothing else I can bring. Even the fighting ring (archer, warrior) arn't worth it. Plus karil and dharok doesn't "always" hit above 10% of your health, but its good to have just in case he doesn't and hits that right health mark :)

Yea, I mean, Ihave had lots of my friends die even though they had ROL. But, I'll still bring one.

what else would u wear in a ring slot then?

I've always brought a ring of life to Barrows (except for one run when I forgot to take off my dueling ring), and so far, it's brothers 2, ring 2. I've died twice even with it (45 from Dharok, 20 from Karil), but twice Verac almost killed me and I ended up getting saved at the last minute.

 

 

 

Is it worth it to bring Ring of Life? Definitely. The slight advantage of a combat ring isn't worth it, at least in my opinion.

@Darkpoop0=> You could wear any of the DK rings, or a Wealth if you think that would increase your chances, although there are varying opinions on that.

 

 

 

On topic though, I always wore one when I used to do Barrows on Trunksbomb. Saved my life a few times, but then again, it tele'd me out when I didn't want it too as well. Better to be safe than sorry.

Near death experience story time!!! I was barrowing with Blackarch and I was at Guthan, so I thought it was going to be easy. Well I was wrong. An IM came up, read it, looked back to find myself low on health, I try and click on a monk, and I get hit for a 20, teled. Blackarch was laughing hard because I got hit a 24-19-20-tele. Found myself at Fally with 2hp. I am now known to afk Barrows. :-#

i never bring one, i always have five prayer pots and monkfish, so i never take damage unless i'm at verac or in the tunnels.

 

heck, i never wear a life, the most recent times i died, i got k0ed straight from 30+ health (by a pure and by damis). that, and very few monsters are going to leave me at 7 health...

I use a ROW, I feel completely safe at barrows. :

it has saved me + full guth, whip, fury TWICE; i sometimes fail blitz at dharok :o

I wear one just in case, but I doubt I ever needed it.. yet

 

As Im writing this a skeleton got me to 50/83 hp.. Yes I am barrowing rofl.. Need to pay attention or I might acutally need the ring.

Yea, thats why I don't blitz DH no pray, I could do it, but if I fail, and then lag, I'm dead.

 

 

 

@Travis: I also feel very, very, very safe\confident at barrows, but what happens if you get dced?

I wear lunar ring, don't really care lol, I never die anyway and that +2 in magic is definately needed! :shock: :lol:

Prayer issues, safe spot problems, big hits, afkness, stupidity, prayer running out, I could go on forever. Too many close calls. I did about 40 runs in a week once, and had a bakers dozen close calls :XD:

Yes, it has saved me more than once. Once I put strength prayer instead of melee and went afk on dhaork.

I do, cus i dont have a warrior or zeaker ring to use. Plus, ROW dont work so no need for them.

I always use a Seers ring. Don't feel like taking the rol. The chances of dieing at barrows are really low. And even if you die the chance that a rol would have safed you is small. So I prefer the magic bonus my seers ring gives.

I used to use Ring of Charos (don't ask why, I find I get better drops with that than with ROW :-$ ) but since I almost died with Guth, Verac, fury, whip, and other things, when Ahrim wasn't being nice to me and got me down to 1hp -.-. Since then, ROL is always on my finger. :
