I've actually had this happen before. One of my friends quit when party hat prices were jumping a lot(just hit 100k) and they gave it to me. I kept it, making sure I didn't die, and then gave it back to them when they returned.

 

My vote was "Keep it forever"

I'd eat it.

I would wear it for a While then I would give it back because Trust is the best thing a game can have O:)

Wear it for a while since prices don't really drop much on them then sell it when I'm bored with it.

Were they quiting? If so I would cherish it forever to remind me of the good that can come out of this game.

 

 

 

If it was just a random gift....I would keep it until I got bored of it. Then sell it and get an expensive 99 like prayer.

 

 

 

If it was just to borrow....I would give it back when they wanted it back.

I would probaly keep it in my bank and never sell it. I would be too scared from random events to wear it and possibly lose it.

 

 

 

Oh yeah, I would be scared the Jagex would ban my account in case they thought I was buying real world items. :ohnoes:

My best friend has a party hat?!?! lolz...that'll never happen...i play the most out of all my friends,and i dont even have a party hat.However, i do have something more valuable, good spelling skills =P ,well better than the poll writers "prises" is a mispelling of prices, or is it a new slang term?if its not please correct it :D

Wonder how they got a party hat in the first place. Then I'd keep it or sell it I dunno. If it was blue I'd sell and buy a yellow one (crowns ftw). Then I'd buy other stuff with the remaining money.

I would keep it until I get bored then sell it.

if it isnt red, sell it and buy a red one(fav color)

 

and if it was, id wear it sometimes with mah glory, and some expensive pants of some kind like barrows.

The actual question is: If your best friend quit and gave you a p-hat then you would so on and so on. I would definitely keep it as it was a friend's gift to me, and considering how rare p-hats are I would not want to lose it. I'd probably keep it in my bank and walk around Varrock and Falador in a crowded world, and end up having everybody running around asking me for free stuff. After all, having a p-hat makes you look really rich. :P

Keep it if it's green or while, sell it if It's not and buy one of them and like a mask set and a santa.

Interesting topic. I voted for "keep it forever" Although I truthfully would probably get bored with it after a while. I actually aspire to own a Santa Hat more than a Party Hat =D

Sell it. Skills > rares, in my opinion. I'd buy 99 prayer, crafting and farming :P

I'd probably sell it for something close to meaningless. Like..PKing supplies. Haha.

i would sell it, merchant with the money gained from it, and buy more phats, then if my friend came back i would give him one of the same colors he gave me and profit off of him :P

Keep it forever. Unlike most of you money hungry people. A gift from a friend, especially one kind enough just to give the party hat to you should deserve no less but to see you hold onto it.

 

 

 

Especially if (s)he ever comes back, it'll mean alot to them and yourself to know you actually kept it for all that time without selling it. But I guess a majority of the posters (before this post) could care less what their friends meant to them. -.-

 

 

 

They just don't give you something so you can go sell it five minutes later.. It's a symbol of friendship. It's a damn shame for you to think otherwise, and I pity you for it.

I'd probably keep it for a while. Then when I get bored, I would sell it and buy one a cheaper phat. Then with the money i have, buy stuff that will benefit me, such as barrows, random meterals, and equipment.

I would definitely keep it forever for two reasons.

 

A) If I did get a partyhat, i probably wouldn't sell it.

 

B) My friend gave it to me.

i'd keep it then when i quit i'll pass it on to another friend and tell them to keep passing it on to other friends so it'll be like a chain party hat.

I'd keep it in my bank so I never lose it.

I would keep it for ever yet wear it rarely.
