Is quitting Runescape an achievement?

Featured Replies

Well, Lately I have quit this addictive stupid game, Even thought it was hard i stayed off the game, Im now nearly 3 weeks without playing Rs.

My question is, Do you think that quitting Rs is an achievement?

I think it is because the game is sooooooooo Addictive :(

No, it's easy to quit. If it's hard for you to quit an ONLINE game seek a doctor.

RSN: Zammyftw ^^The girl that ruined music.

The achievement would be self achievement nobody else can truely understand how you feel about quiting and your reasons behind it.

Why come back after 3 weeks to post this though is beyond me. playing with chat off? :-w just kidding :XD:

yes, if the game became a curruption to your life.

I don't think so. Most people quit because they are bored with the game or have other things they have to do. It's not like people who quit chainlock their computer in a 10- inch thick steel case :P

I'm addicted to runescape, and I'd say its probably the msot difficult thing I've ever considered. I can't vision the rest of my life without playing runescape at least one or two hours daily.

To me quitting runescape is probably trying to get 99slayer in a month(virtually impossible). =/

So yes, it is an Achievement.

It got very addicting lately :)

I'd say it's not too much of an acheivment because when i'm on vaction i can careless about runescape. I think i think about playing the first 2 hours then i get into watching TV or something.

Nop, used to be like that 2 years ago, but now i barely play.

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.

I consider it an achievement. You're self satisfied enough with what you've done to have no more interest in all of those pressing needs of things you need to accomplish. It feels pretty good to log on and have no interest in levelling up or anything.

"Quitting" runescape is just a way for attention [bleep] to get their egos stroked on forums.

If you don't want to play anymore, don't play.

I've found that the game gets a lot less addictive and a lot more tedious once you've done almost everything. Then you kind of just play for the updates, and eventually you don't really care anymore.

Some people keep their interest even when it takes five hours of hitting a rock to get a level. I can't do that. I haven't "quit," and I still like some of the more fun parts of the game (Castle Wars, for example)... but seriously, for most people who quit, quitting is pretty easy. If you have to force yourself to quit, then you're having fun with the game and you shouldn't quit anyway (unless you're playing too much, of course).

When people do that, they haven't really quit. The thread creator I'm assuming is referring to when people willingly stop playing after gradually losing interest. When people decide to suddenly go cold turkey and 'quit,' as if they're flicking off a switch, they haven't really quit and will always come back. For the vast majority of people, the only real way to 'quit' is to gradually lose interest, in which case there is no personal hooplah over attention because it happened over a period of time.

it technically would be an "achievement" by the person who quits, but to others, it wouldn't be so big. Then again, if you have been trying to quit for weeks, even months, and couldn't bring your self to do it, you probably would consider it your biggest achievement ever

One day, within another year or maybe 2, you will suddenly feel as if there were nothing fun to do in RS, and then after having the same feeling for a few times in a row you will just stop logging in, without any difficulties at all you'll have quit/taken a break from rs.

I took a break from Runescape for about 6 months, before coming back to it in June. At the time I had lost just about all interest in the game but now I'm getting a bit closer to 99 Agility each day.

Here is a simple question to see if you are too adicted:

What if somehow, runescape was shut down? Would it really matter to you?

I use that question to keep myself in check. If it matters that you would lose all your RS friends, then you are not to bad off. If it means that your life is over, you may be in trouble. :D

Quitting Runescape is extremely hard and is probably nearly as hard as quitting smoking if you get that addicted.

The best way is to delete all your friends probably as without friends i definetly wouldn't be playing

With the amount that some people post about it and have it in their sigs and spout it off every chance they get, it certainly must be.

so there's this thread in p2p general called "the most annoying things ppl do on runescape" i am tempted to post "ya wen im cybering with a girl and they log off for no reason"

I don't think so....of course it could be hard to stop playing that game when you are really addicted but I wouldn't call it as a achievement =)
