Have you ever sent a message to someone but it was meant for someone else? Or said somthing in public when it was meant for clan chat or PM? I think almost all of us have been through that very embarrassing moment. :oops:

 

 

 

This thread is for you to share stories about sending a message to the wrong person or saying somthing that was meant for another chat.

 

 

 

I remember I was at a 99 firemaking party and I said "Congrats on 99 firemaking!" in a clan chat filled with people I didn't know. I meant to say that to my friend in public chat.

happens to me all the time :-X and it always seems to be when I'm typing something really long -.-

This 30-something year old guy was pchatting with me & he seemed like he was one of those old men that try to meet young girls in real life. My other friend asked me if I liked him. I said something along the lines of: "God no! He's a 30 year old creep". I sent it, and saw that I sent it to the old guy. :oops: Never heard from him again, lol.

 

 

 

Done it thousands of times since, but that's the worst.

Probably when i pmed a mod "Ffs you stupid noob I never want to see your face again" He got mad but we are still friends : I think :-k

The worst I remember doing was telling a slightly dirty joke to a friend in pm, and accidentally telling the punchline in public. I was checking for blackmarks on my account for weeks after that.

Always happens when I'm writing long messages, it seems I always mis-click while pming someone and it doesn't go to anyone, or someone else.. #-o

I once got a reply from a pmod in game complimenting me on a thread I had (and still do) on the RSOF. I asked why didn't he just post and he said he was permanently banned from the forums (lol?).

Well.. I only did it a few times today.. I'm not sure what the worst time was, but today I congratulated 3 people on getting stats to 99 with the players at the Fire Giants, rather than in the chat.. I logged out shortly after. :roll:

I was telling my friend about my feelings after my girlfriend broke up with me, and some depressive sentence slipped to public chat. Then there were few people trying to cheer me up and giving me advice. To be honest they actually helped my feelings.

It's happened to me many times, with public/clan and wrong person in private. Sometimes it's funny because my friend's know I sent it to the wrong person, so they respond with something funny.

Happens alot to me. This is why IRC is ftw!

Wp'ing a wp is really annoying. Like where the person i wp'ed logged out, so I sent the "sorry, wp" to the wrong person! Good thing they didn't call me a nub.
