This is why I hate the forums sometimes. Everyone always feels the need to correct every minor detail to try and "one up" the other person. We all knew what he meant so there was just no need. It adds nothing to the discussion.

What would the stats be really? +21 +23 +25 -5 -5 +21 +23 +25 0 0 with a strenght boost of +1 or maybe +2? It would probably be quest related and be hard to get not to mention untradeable and would piss alot of pures off because they can't wield it :roll:

 

 

 

with a str bonus of +1 it would be 4 behind rune....so no lol. good idea but not worth just 1 str bonus.

melee already has godswords, dragon defenders would erupt the pking triangle even further.

Godsword is two handed, so you couldn't use gs + defender.

rather, it would allow for non-rich people to have good equipment too. you forget that there are many melee vs melee fights, and the rich people totally dominate the poor.

 

 

 

I agree with you 100%, however do you think Jagex is going to make an update for pkers with low cash money? It's not as likely. I'm sure if they could make Dragon Defenders tradable, then they would come out with them, but since they aren't, it's just a bit different.

How no? It's going to happen eventually somehow. Jagex just didn't release them right away to keep things balanced and so they could hype it up when it does happen. It will happen eventually and what other opinion could there be other than "It's going to be better than rune and pretty popular."?

It would make sense, but I doubt it. I dont see them releasing dragon defenders until they release Bandos and Armadyl trimmed rune armour.

Interesting, it however, unfortunately, seems that 'dragon defenders', along with many other items, including the crystal halberd, that the are only rumours, put in by Jagex simply to tempt players into discussing, debating and getting exited.

 

 

 

However, I see the defender, along with the other items, not coming out for quite some time to come, in my opinion, if they were to have come out recently, they would have been tradeable and a god wars dungeon reward.

 

 

 

The tradeable issue, would make it so people can't get the extra power without risk, leaving the warriors guild, and rune defenders, still very, very much in use. I do hope, it will come from another high levelled monster, and be rare yet tradeable.

yes, the players do that, the npc does not. that is his point.

If they do make them, I hope they make them really hard to get, so people don't pk with them.

That would not be necessary, Defenders already have defence requirement themselves (as well as attack level requirement). So i'd imagine that Dragon Defender, if released, would have similar requirement as well.

I'd imagine if it were to come out, the process would go something like this(I mentioned it on tipitchat a while back, if anyone remembers): After attaining a Rune Defender, one would show it to the defender lady, who would then mention the rune defender and, notably, warn you. You would then be alloted into a room with high-level Cyclops(I dunno, 160-ish?), after which, slaying a certain number (500?) you will speak to the lady who will present you with the grandest token the Warriors Guild, The dragon defender.

I think it will happen eventually, but I don't see it happening any time soon. Jagex devoted a lot of time and effort to the God Wars Dungeon and the God Swords measure up pretty well with a Whip/Rune Defender combo. Why would they come out with a cheap and easy item to achieve (if Dragon Defenders are acquired the same way as the other Defenders), which would take away from the power of the God Swords?
