Wouter828
good article, 6 million dollars  but i think we just want an explenation about what they're doing on bots and why they don't ban lvl 3's not flinching and cutting trees. I believe we've had about 2 updates on the situation. But then again I haven't checked on forums. Okay, now letÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s say your your Andrew Gower. 4th paragraph first line  Click here for my blog.
Solidus_77
The mentality fought against in this article is a problem indeed, I wish people were more understanding in general, but I guess that just comes with maturity. 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed! fakeitormakeit
The only thing I thought I could ever do better then Jagex was the wilderness ditch, being I would have never put it, other then that, I always am supportive of their additions. I still think people who don't pay and still complain don't deserve support...
lordsilas0
i still have not been able to figure out why people spend there hard earned cash on buying items on a game i mean cmon :wall:
amlord1
Well said! i know there are alot of problems in the game, but jagex is doing a very good job. just from the small website i maintain (sometimes) i know how frustrating simple website upkeep can be. jagex has a multi million dollar game to run! and then there are all the rule breakers, message spammers and macroers to deal with. they make new quests, mini games and all sorts of things. and being into 3d modeling my self, i know how hard it is to make 1 simple model! let alone animating and texturing. it takes hours per item. so, give jagex some slack! ~Amlord1~
JordanGM
Great read, The Editors right. Don't go around thinking you can do better, because you're only thinking it, and if you had the chance, you would probably [cabbage] everything up... I know I would. highlanders
The mentality fought against in this article is a problem indeed, I wish people were more understanding in general, but I guess that just comes with maturity. You mean acceptance of mediocrity comes with old age? True that, oldies always claim that "nothing can be done" :P This article is just another Jagex-hugger article, tip.it has lots of them. Jagex screwed up the game for the players shortly after Rs2 go out. Are you people actually forgetting that Jagex allied with Miniclip and are responsible for the horrible community we have now? God, you people are so forgetful. 2480+ total
xsephiroth
Nice read, although there is a typo that seems to appear everytime one of these is posted. That word is surly, and I'm assuming the author meant to type 'surely.'
jimjimson
They've had two years to complete mep3. They could get rid of all the macroers in two days if they dropped everything else. They've had like 4 years to release blood and souls. They've had 3 years to release summoning. They send automated responses because the moderators don't want to be bothered on their tea and scones break. They constantly make combat classes underpowered when all they need to do is release a staff equal to the dark bow to balance the triangle. NO STORY LINES have been finished in 6 years. These should be the top priorities, not graphic updates, website things, and "delivery boy" quests. Get everyone in jagex to ban 100 macroers a day for a week. It's so easy. I would put a cool link here but I don't know how.
Fourfoxes
Thank god for you, Mr. Editor. Maybe your article can knock some sense into all those people who think Jagex just wants money and doesn't care about us.

Earth_Poet
i agree but only so far with this article. i believe criticism from the player community can be used as a positive tool to improve the game and fix problems. however it is not helpful when a player's criticism turns into flaming and namecalling like "jagex hates pures! jagex doesn't care!" on the same note there are numerous problems within the game that seem to be constantly ignored. sometimes i feel jagex is in a cross between trying to update the game and playing whack-a-mole with all the criticism, complaints, and problems the players bring it'd probably be so much better of a game if we weren't involved. lol

wakka102
this article is so true! I stopped reading the update threads for a long time because every post was "this is a lame update!" or "this update is stupid, it doesn't do anything at all! in fact, it hurts us!". Jagex is doing an awesome job.

Blackarch2
I honestly do think that JaGeX is doing all that they can, if not a heck of alot more. It's very impressive as to how much Andrew Gower has sacrificed [money] for his game. :) Off Topic: You're welcome for that little Did You Know... part of the article. As I was the first to post it on TIF. Mmm... flying_death_bombs55
I agree 110% with everything he says, jagex does the best they can, they are only human. Nobody here could update millions of lines of codes, without destroying the game, or satisfy alot of players at the same time, without taking years and years of classes. So stop ranting about every little detail. =; :shame: When you mentioned the Dragon Plates I had a sudden vision of a load of gangsters running around in fancy dress yealling "Grim Reaper in da hood!" FarmerDally
some well made points there i do believe. It was once said that if you can make 50% of the population happy your on the right track, but unfortunatly as soon as the other 50% is happy the first half has something new to complain about. good this jagex keeps atleast 3/4 of us happy =] ~ I farm, there for you eat ~ Got food? Hobnjall
Hiyez. Good read, and good points. I've been a game developer, and understand. I am currently a player, and I understand. You can please some people all the time, some people *none* of the time, and try to make things work mostly for everybody. Ban all of the 'bots? Not even a faint chance if you have an open player base. They *will* be just as fast and aggressive as you are, if your game can in any way make a profit for them. These are people who will work for thirty cents an hour, for mercy's sake! Those who pay for gold just show they are not willing to play the game. And updates? Updates? The game works! You have no knowlege of games that do not work! I've played games that you invest 70 hours in, and then it crashes for no reason you can discern. Try again and it crashes again! Have you any concept of how many bytes this game contains? Get it all correct? Are you insane? We are incredibly lucky that Jagex is willing to correct the flight of seagulls (maybe an easy fix, but *they are paying attention*). I have paid to play games where they just don't care, play or don't, and they don't care. And subscription fees? I'm proud to pay a minimal five bucks (U.S. $5.00) to play this game. The population has topped one million, but I'd *love* to find out how many paying members they have. And may they get many more, say I. Whiners, just go hide for a while, eh? Hobnjall, just a player, tired of complaints. Seeyez. How can you have any disagreement with such an affordable game? And Jagex acually care to maintain and update this game. Wonderful. neonihilist
I don't think I could do a better job at managing RuneScape, but I really could be the hot girlÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s best possible boyfriend, and historyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s best president. (Although I wouldn't please everyone any of the time but I don't care). I couldn't be the best quarterback though because I don't play football, I play something better; heavy combat! Infernalz2
And how about customer support, why does it take 48+ hours to get a simple response from the staff? really? i got mine in like less that 12 hours last time i actually sent one in... :-k Is it really fair for someone to complain that the company is only spending six million dollars a year on customer support, all while they havenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t paid a dime to play their game? that one statement, explains why f2p aren't allowed on forums. if they were than the rants forum would be flooded! and really, how dare f2p idiots complain about a game that they only get to play about 10% of?! you cant complain on a game as a whole when you only get a fraction of it! thats why p2p are only allowed on the forums, we actually know all aspects of the game, and in turn, have the right to complain about the game as a whole. *ya, in know it sounds like i hate f2p... but well, i do.* and im guessing i will get a ton of flaming like my last account. ^^^Click for My Newgrounds Page!
