Not sure about plate vs HHB in comparison but it's worth it if you are willing tosacrifice one bind for the team. Won't help you as much as the plate in terms of survival, but it will definitelysave more time and hassle fighting mages using melee weapons, and higher demons without the need of magic. I did not bind neck for the healing ability I did it for the added strength+attack , however the random 40's and random heals are a nice bonus. Heck, if it was obtainable to get in higher floors I would have primal gloves bound as a third bind. I key'd a couple of floors with neck and food was never an issue.
