You do all that extra school work and your grammer is still that bad?

Just sit down with your parents and give clear points of what it is important for you to go outside and experiance being a child. It was recently discovered that children aren't being prepared for real life because parents such as yours are being too over-protective.

well if you talk anything like you type, i can totally understand why they won't let you do anything. :?

other than that, the only thing i can say is: they own you until you're 18. unless they physically abuse or neglect you, there's nothing you can do about it except for talk to them and try to reason with them. i would suggest learning proper grammar before trying that.

The thing you should probably do is try to reason to your parents that if you spend all your free time in your house, you are going to end up being sosially delayed and you are going to lose your friends like that.

Reality is hundreds of times more beautiful and more interesting than delusions. Fairy tales just tend to be easier to follow than the wonderful intricacies of life.

Climb out of your window and slide down trough the tree. They did that in the fifties, and Christina Milian still does it. From am to pm.

I'm pretty sure TIF doesn't have a cure to your parents' brain problems. Some parents are just like that, you have to deal with it.

It's for the greater good.

Nah, I'm kidding. Try and talk to them about your situation. Slowly build up trust, it takes time to build and make sure you don't break it! You'll be back to sqaure one.

They invented bedroom windows for a reason..

They also invented a door for a reason.. much more easier!

I'm not you, but eventually my parents got sick of me doing what I do, going out, getting drunk, seeing friends, going to gigs, so they've now given up, but like I said, that's me.

Just err.. walk out the door, and on the way out tell them you'll be back soon.

Funny.

I'm not quite sure what actions you should take. Perhaps you could confront your parents and calmly discuss the problem with them; explain to them that going outside and socialising can lead to advantages in the future. Hopefully, they'll understand.

Thanks to the people who are actually helping me. I've been coming to points where I don't want to tell you what I want to do...

Other things I should mention is I do have a brother(who's 23 though, im 15) that goes out everyday and they've 'given up'n him to. He started at about 18-19. But i'm not waiting 4-5years for sure..

For one thing, if your brother is 23, your parents were supposed to give up on him 5 years ago.

For another, is a minor restriction on seeing your friends all that you have? Or is there more you're ranting about that I'm missing?

As for that matter, try looking up information on the internet about over-protectiveness being an ineffective way to raise a child. If you're parents are the kind to listen to logical, tested information (though that could be iffy from what I've read), you can always try and explain calmly to them that they're not helping you by keeping you on a leash. Calmly being the emphasized term here.

Or, you know, go with How2PK's plan. I actually think I like that one better, especially if you're parents are extremely dogmatic :-w .

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

if you're over 16 tell your parents to stop running your life, no kid should have to stay inside on weekends, and if they don't listen then dont listen to them and go out with your friends, this is the time in your life when you need to do anything and everything fun

Guys, we have to help him. The more time he spends out with his friends, the less time he spends here!

Think, people! Think!

:XD:

unfortunately its true :anxious:

Talk....you're body was made to talk. Compromise halfway....say you'll call them every 30 minutes and whatnot. COMPROMISE!

Go learn, read a book, random article wikipedia. Stop wasting time here on tip.it complaining about how [cabbage]ty your parents are and go do something productive, like get a job, and if they don't let you do that start learning random stuff (programming, PS, math, how to write in proper english etc. ). If they feed you they set your limits, end of story.
